SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2019 includes some factors that are considered in the eligibility for the SSC CPO Recruitment. In this article, candidates can find the complete description of the eligibility for the candidates who want to apply for the exam.

  • A total of 3000+ SSC CPO Vacancy are expected to release this year for the new session 2019-20.

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria includes the following mentioned factors in the exam. Candidates must have to fulfill these factors before applying for the exam-

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria of Citizenship

As per the SSC Norms, a candidate from the following regions are eligible to apply for SSC CPO :

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan Refugee came over to India before 1st Jan 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  •  A person belonging to Indian Origin migrated from Countries such as Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

SSC CPO Educational Qualification

  • To apply for SSC CPO Examination, a candidate must have a bachelor degree from any recognized university or equivalent.
  • Male candidates applying for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

SSC CPO Age Limit:

  • 20-25 years as on 01.08.2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02.08.1994 and not later than 01.08.1999 are eligible).
  • The officials will accept the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate only, for determining the Age eligibility.
  • No subsequent request for the change of age will be considered or granted.

Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per the government norms. Below are the category wise Age relaxation:

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria for Physical Standard Test (PET)

  • The female candidates have no minimum requirement for the chest measurement.
  • The below table shows the eligibility according to the physical standard test for both male and female.

SSC CPO Eligibility for Physical Endurance Test (PET)

  • Candidates have to clear the SSC CPO Paper-I to appear in PST/ PET.
  • The weight is corresponding to the height of the candidate for all posts.
For Male Candidates 100 meters race in 16 seconds
1.6 km race in 6.5 min
Long Jump: 3.65 meters in 3 chances
High Jump: 1.2 meters in 3 chances
Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 meters in 3 chance
For Female Candidates 100 meters race in 18 seconds
800 meters race in 4 minutes
Long Jump: 2.7 meters in 3 chances
High Jump: 0.9 meters in 3 chances

SSC CPO Medical Examination Eligibility Criteria

The candidates should have a minimum distant vision of 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction (without wearing glasses).

  •  Candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.
  • Must possess high color vision.
  • Candidate must be in the good mental and physical condition.
  • Candidate should be free from any physical defect.
  • There is no X-ray of the chest for the female candidate.
  • The aspirants have to fulfill all criteria in SSC CPO Physical Test and Medical Examination and be of proper weight, Height and BMI.
