SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2018

Application for SSC CPO recruitment will be subject to various eligibility criteria mentioned down the post as per the latest SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2018. Aspirants must have a bachelor degree from any recognized university or equivalent in order to be eligible to apply for SSC CPO recruitment. Male candidates applying for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests to undergo Physical Endurance and standard tests. The minimum age to apply for SSC CPO is 20 years and the maximum age is 25 years. Age relaxation will be awarded to the candidates belonging to reserved categories as per the govt. norms.

SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria

(a) Nationality :

As per the SSC Norms ,  a candidate from following regions are eligible to apply for SSC CPO :

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • A Tibetan Refugee came over to India before 1st Jan 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  •  A person belonging to Indian Origin migrated from Countries such as Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

(b) Educational Qualification:

  • To apply for SSC CPO Examination, a candidate must have a bachelor degree from any recognised university or equivalent.
  • Male candidates applying for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motor cycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.

(c) Age Limit:

The minimum age to apply for SSC CPO is 20 years and the maximum age for the same will be 25 years.

⇒Age Relaxation:

Age relaxation will be provided to reserved categories as per the government norms. Below are the category wise Age relaxation:

SSC CPO Eligibility for Physical Efficiency Endurance Test (PET)

⇒For male candidates :–

  • 100 meters race to be completed in 16 seconds
  • 1.6 Kms race to be completed in 6.5 minutes
  • Achieve 3.65 metres in Long Jump (Maximum 3 chances)
  • Achieve 1.2 metres in High Jump (Maximum 3 chances)
  • Achieve 4.5 metres in Shot put -16 Lbs (Maximum 3 chances)

⇒For female candidates :

  • 100 metres race to be completed in 18 seconds
  • 800 metres race to be completed in 4 minutes
  • Achieve 2.7 metres in Long Jump (9 feet) (Maximum 3 chances)
  • Achieve 0.9 metres in High Jump  (3 feet) (Maximum 3 chances)

SSC CPO Medical Examination  Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates should have a minimum distant vision of 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction (without wearing glasses).

  •  Candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.
  • Candidate should possess high color vision.
  • Candidate must be in good mental and physical condition
  • Candidate should be free from any physical defect.

Candidate must fulfill all criteria in Physical Examination Test and be of proper weight, Height and BMI. Aspirants need to be prepared for Medical Exam, along with other tests in SSC CPO Medical examination.
