SSC CHSL Syllabus 2018-19

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) had issued a notification for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) CHSL Exam. There are a total of 3 Tiers which all candidates must clear to get selected in SSC CHSL Recruitment

  • The SSC might release the CHSL Registration in March expectedly
  • Secondly, students must start preparing for the exam already

SSC CHSL Syllabus for Tier 1

The candidates must check the SSC CHSL Syllabus Tier 1 in the following table. All four sections have their own different and separate topics that all candidates must prepare thoroughly. Also, to get the highest score, candidates should not leave any topic of any section unattended.

Note: The questions will not appear section-wise in the exam. All the questions from all the sections will be shuffled and randomly asked in the question paper

SSC CHSL Exam Pattern: Tier 1

The following table has detailed Exam Pattern for SSC CHSL Tier 1. All candidates must take a proper look

  • All sections of the SSC CHSL Tier 1 carry 50 marks separately
  • Secondly, there will be a total number of 25 questions in each of the section
  • Also, the difficulty level of the exam is very high. It will be of 10th+2 standard
  • Most importantly, the candidates who are visually handicapped or suffer from cerebral palsy will have 80 minutes to complete the test

Tier 2: SSC CHSL Syllabus

In Tier 2 of CHSL exam, candidates have to write a Descriptive Essay/Letter. The following has detailed information regarding the test:

  • This test is basically to examine the candidate’s writing skills
  • The candidates have to focus on the topic properly and write on the essence of it
  • The word limit of the essay would be 200-250
  • On the other hand, the word limit of Letter would be 150-200 words
  • Most importantly, the difficulty level of the exam will be less
  • The mode of the exam is Written (Pen and Paper)
  • The candidates can choose if they want to write in English or Hindi language

  • An application to an editor on the views of Women Empowerment

SSC CHSL Tier 3 Syllabus

The Tier 3 exam of SSC CHSL 2019 is the Skill test or Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature. Skill Test/ Typing Test would be according to the job profile

  • The Tier 3 exam is a Skill Test/Typing Test
  • Secondly, only those students who have cleared Tier 1 and Tier 2 can appear for Tier 3 exam
  • Also, the Typing Test is conducted only for those candidates who applied for Data Entry Operator (DEO)
  • Candidates have to qualify the test at the required speed on Computer decided by the officials of Commission
  • Typing Test: For English, candidates have to type speed 35 words per minute. For Hindi candidates have to type 30 words per minute. Typing test is applicable for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC, and Court Clerk posts
  • Skill Test: Data Entry Speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour on the computer. Skill test is conducted for Data Entry Operator post. For DEO in C&AG office speed of 15000 key depression per hour is required. The duration of the test is 15 minutes
