Symbiosis International University is going to conduct the Symbiosis Entrance Test law or the SET Law examination in the first week of May 2018. The SET Law will be held in as many as 21 cities across India. All the applying candidates should make a note that the SET Law 2018 will be held in in pen and paper mode for the admissions to 420 BBA LLB and a total of 300 BA LLB seats in three institutes of Symbiosis Law School (SLS) in Pune, Noida, and Hyderabad.

The SET Law 2018 application forms will be issued in the last week of December 2017 and the last date to apply for SET Law examination along with payment of application fee would be in the month of April 2018. Candidates scoring 45% (General) or 40% (SC, ST or OBC) in their Class 12th only will be eligible to apply for SET law 2018.

SET-Law is conducted once a year for admissions to the undergraduate course BA LLB/BBA LLB. SET-Law will be conducted on the first Saturday of May 2018.   • Analytical reasoning: This section will include questions on Verbal Reasoning, Permutation and Combination, Blood Relations, Mixtures, Ratio and Proportion, Series, Number System, Time and Work, Mensuration, Clocks and Calendar, Profit- Loss and Discount, Coding-Decoding, Situation Based Decision Making, Number Series, Probability
  • Logical reasoning: Candidates can prepare some topics such as Number Test, Series Test, Coding and Decoding, Odd One Out, Statement Arguments, Verbal Reasoning, Analogy, Statement Assumptions, Ranking, Questions On Relations, Syllogisms
  • General Knowledge: In this particular section, there will questions on current affairs (Current events in areas of Economics, Science, Sports, Places, Persons, Events of National and International importance, Books and Authors) and Static General Knowledge (Ecology, Science and technology, Environment, Geography, Polity, Economics, History- Ancient, Medieval, Modern and World, General Science)
  • Reading Comprehension: This section will contain passages and questions will be based on these passages. These questions are designed to check the candidate’s reading ability and command over the English language
  • Legal Reasoning: To prepare for this section, candidates are required to go through the basic topics of law such as – Indian Constitution, Indian Penal Code, Law of Torts, Indian Contract Act, Family Law and Legal Misc. (Intellectual Property Rights, Labour Laws, etc.)

SET Law Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who want to apply for the exam should be 12th class or 10+2 level passed from CBSE or any other rrecognizedboard with a minimum of 45% for candidates in General category and 40% for those in SC, ST and OBC category. The university also has an age criteria for candidates according to which no candidate should be above 20 years of age (22 in case of reserved categories). Aspirants who are appearing for their 12th board can also sit for SET Law 2018. However, they will be required to submit their final marks/certificates at the time of admissions.

The application forms will be releasing the application form of SET Law 2018 in the last week of December 2017. Candidates should note that they would need to apply for each programme individually. The application fee for SET law 2018 can be paid either online (credit card, debit card or net banking) or offline (challan) mode.

SET Law Admit Card 2018

SIU will issue the SET Law 2018 admit card somewhere in the second last week of April 2018. Candidates can download the admit card of SET Law once it is released on the official website.
