RRB NTPC Job Profiles 2017 Description and Preferences

Railway Recruitment Board(RRB) is the standard authorised agency to recruit candidates to the various posts of the Indian Railways based on vacancies. The official notification is announced on the website of RRB. There was a total of 18252 vacancies for fresh posts in 2016. This year we can expect more.Candidates are given a chance to mention their post preference even before the mains results are announced. Those candidates who have already written the CBT can now choose their post preference freshly. This decision is due to the implementation of 7th pay commission for the vacancies announced under RRB.

This notification is in reference to the modifications made to the original notification. All those students who have appeared for 2nd Stage CBT are invited to change their preference of posts. The last date do make such a change is 14 May 2017 and if any candidate fails to make changes in their preference within this deadline, then the original preference as mentioned in their online application form initially will be considered.

RRB NTPC 2017 : How to fill Post Preferences

All those candidates who wish to change their preferences should fill up complete details in the form provided in the RRB Website. The scope to change is only in the same RRB to which the candidate had applied. There is no scope for a fresh application, however. Any further request for changes after the period mentioned above shall not be entertained.

The 2nd stage CBT result is based on the fresh posts preferences after modifications are accomplished. Candidates may note that the opportunity to revise the post preference is no way conferring any right to employment in the Indian Railways directly. The merit and cut off marks are valid to all the appearing candidates to gain entry to a railway career.
