Securing a job in the Indian Railways is a matter of great privilege for many people. It ensures a steady flow of income, job security, and many other perks. Recently, RRB has released a notice regarding detailed First stage CBT exam pattern. Now they have specified the subject-wise marks distribution. Since this has been introduced new to the examination, it is very important for the candidates to know about the recent exam pattern. RRB ALP Selection Process 2018-19

Let us go through all the phases one by one.

First Stage CBT

This is a screening test. You need to be quick in solving problems. To qualify this round, you need to secure minimum 40% marks (30% for OBC/SC and 25% for ST category). Also, note that 1/3rd marks will be deducted for each wrong attempt.

Second Stage CBT

If you qualify the first round, you can sit for the second phase i.e. the 2nd Stage CBT. This exam has two parts – part A and part B. To clear part A, you need to secure minimum 40% marks (30% for OBC/SC and 25% for ST category). And you have to secure minimum 35% marks to qualify part B.

For each wrong attempt, you will secure 1/3rd marks in negative.

Part B Relevant Trade – Disciplines

Computer-Based Aptitude Test

No negative marking is applicable for this round. The questions will be available both in English and Hindi. You need to secure minimum 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify this phase. Documents Verification

If you qualify all the above stages, you must appear for the Documents Verification round. Ensure to bring the following certificates in original as well as photocopies:

• Educational qualification certificates
• Marksheets
• Proof of date of birth
• Aadhaar Card
• Category certificate, if applicable
• Other declaration certificates

Medical Test

You need to clear this test and be declared medically fit to be selected. This is the final phase of the exam.

Final RRB ALP Selection Process 2018-19

The final merit list will be prepared based on your performance in Part A of 2nd stage CBT and Computer-Based Aptitude Test. 70% i.e. the majority of the weightage will be taken from Part A of 2nd Stage CBT whereas 30% marks weightage will be taken from the Computer-Based Aptitude Test.
