RRB ALP Technician Selection Process and Exam Pattern:

RRB ALP 2018 Exam Pattern:

There shall be negative marking for incorrect answers in First and Second Stage CBT. 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer. There shall be no negative marking for Computer Based Aptitude Test.

I. First Stage CBT (Common for ALP/Technician): RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2018

The score of first stage exam shall be used only for shortlisting of candidates for second stage exam as per their merit. Reserved Candidates shall be selected to second Stage CBT based on existing reservation rules. Note that after Selection to Stage 2, the marks of First Stage CBT will not carry value.

III. Second Stage CBT (Part B) : RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2018

  • Duration: 60 Min
  • No of Questions: 75

This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

IV. Computer Based Aptitude Test (Only for candidates who have opted for ALP)

The Computer-Based Aptitude Test shall have questions and answer options only in English and Hindi. There shall be no negative marking in Computer Based AT. This computer Based Aptitude Test carries only 30% of weightage, while 70% weightage will be given to Stage 2 of CBT Part A and Part B.

  1. English: There is no English test here so do not worry about your grammar, though knowledge basic level of English is expected from all applicants.
