Tips and Tricks to Solve Reading Comprehension questions in SSC CGL Tier 2

Given below are some of the sureshot tips and tricks to score in reading comprehension questions in SSC CGL Tier 2 exam. When it comes to solving RC questions, there are generally 2 ways of solving them-

  1. PQ Approach (Passage first, Questions after that)
  2. QP Approach (Questions first, Passage after that)

PQ Approach Passage first, Questions after that)

  • Go through the entire passage thoroughly and then read the questions which follow.
  • Skim through the passage and make sure you get the central idea of the passage.
  • Read the para 1 and 2, see what you can answer from them. Read para 3 and 4, see what you can answer from it.

QP Approach (Questions first, Passage after that)

  • Go through all the questions followed by going through the passage.
  • Read question 1 with all the options, go through the entire passage to answer it. Then read question 2, go through the entire passage to answer it and so on.

It is usually observed that QR approach is less time consuming as compared to PQ approach. But, it depends on your convenience which option you choose. Do remember to follow the given tips while solving RC questions-
