The RBI Grade B recruitment 2018 comprises of three phases- phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3. RBI Grade B exam pattern is different for phase 1, phase 2 and phase 3. The RBI phase 1 is an objective paper whereas RBI phase 2 is a descriptive test. The phase 3 is an interview which is the ultimate phase of the entire process. RBI Grade B Exam Pattern

The entire process comprises of three steps:

  1. Phase 1
  2. Phase 2
  3. And Phase 3

Phase 1 – Online Exam (Objective test)

The Paper 1 is asked for 200 Marks and questions are asked from 4 sections:

  • General Awareness
  • English Language
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Reasoning

Note- The time duration is of 120 minutes

Phase 2  – Online Exam (Descriptive test)

The RBI Grade B phase II consists of three papers – paper I, paper II and paper III. All the three papers will have MCQs.

 Note- Each of the papers will be of 1 and ½ hour time duration

RBI Grade B Phase 3 Exam (Interview)

The RBI Grade B phase III is an interview round which is the final round of the recruitment. The interview will be conducted as per the existing format.

From last year onwards, the paper III of phase 2 will consist of only one subject i.e. Finance and Management. Earlier, there were provisions to choose from ‘statistics’ and ‘economics’ but now this has been withdrawn. All the other criteria remains the same.

Important Points to Remember

  1. The candidates have to write the papers online.
  2. The candidates who manage to clear the phase 1 will only be applicable for phase 2.
  3. On a further note, the candidates who clear the phase 2 will be able to make it for the interview round.
  4. The final selection will be made based on merit list will be prepared by adding marks.
  5. Final selection will be made by merit obtained by candidates in Phase-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) and Interview round.

RBI Grade B Eligibility Criteria

  • 60% marks (min.) for General & OBC categories and 50% for SC/ST/PWD or an equivalent grade in Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) and in 12th and 10th grade.
  • The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor’s Degree will be in aggregate for all semesters / years.
