Eligibility Criteria for POWERGRID Corporation of India Recruitment

  • Age Limit -You must not be above 28 years of age as on 31st December 2016. However, age relaxation rules apply for the reserved candidates – 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwD category candidates.
  • Educational Qualification – You must have a full-time B. Tech/B.E./B. Sc. (Engg.) degree with minimum 65% marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University.
  • GATE Score – You must have qualified the corresponding GATE 2017 paper.

Selection Process for POWERGRID Corporation of India Recruitment

There are three phases of the selection procedure. Firstly, the exam authorities will shortlist you based on the normalized marks out of 100 in GATE 2017. After that, you need to sit for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview. You must qualify in the Personal Interview to be considered for empanelment; to be considered qualified, you must score minimum 40% marks (30% for reserved categories).

For final selection, your performance in all the three phases will be considered according to the following weightage –

  • GATE 2017 (Marks Out of 100) – 85%
  • Group Discussion – 3%
  • Personal Interview – 12%

Pay Scale

The company will provide you with a consolidated stipend of Rs.24,500 per month. On successful completion of training, you will get a pay scale of Rs.20600 – 46500. Your approximate CTC will be Rs.12.8 lac per annum.

Service Agreement Bond

You have to serve the company for 3 years after successful completion of training. Bond amount is Rs.1 lac for unreserved category and Rs.50,000 for others.
