OICL AO Mock Test- Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. (OICL) has recently released the notification for recruitment of 300 Officers in Scale I cadre from open market. OICL is a leading public sector general insurance company of India headquartered in New Delhi.

OICL AO Selection procedure:

Phase I: Preliminary Examination

Preliminary Examination will consist of Objective type questions for 100 marks conducted online. This test would be of time duration of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:

Candidates have to qualify in each test by securing cutoff marks as decided by the Company. Adequate number of candidates (category-wise) decided by the Company (approximately 20 candidates per vacancy subject to availability) shall be shortlisted for the Main Examination.

Phase II: Main Examination

Main Examination will consisting of both Objective and Descriptive sections will be conducted online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer.

  1. Objective Test:

The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 Sections (Specialists) for a total of 200 marks.

  1. Descriptive Test:

The Descriptive Test will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10marks & Essay-20 marks). Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score for each section of objective test separately for short listing for the Descriptive test evaluation/Interview. Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum total score (to be decided by the Company according to number of vacancies) in the objective test (main examination) and qualify in the descriptive test for shortlisting for the Interview. But descriptive test marks will not be counted towards only for short listing candidates for interviews and not in final selection.

Please note that there is negative marking of one-fourth of the marks for each answer in the Preliminary and Mains exam, and the final selection for recruitment will be based only on the Main examination marks & Interview.
