NPAT Syllabus

What is NPAT – A brief intro of NMAT

NPAT is conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS).  It is one of the  top-10 B-schools in India . NMIMS has campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore and Navi Mumbai offering courses for Management, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Commerce, Economics, Law, Science, Liberal Arts, Design, Aviation, Intellectual Property and Distance Learning.

NPAT 2017 or NMIMS Programs After Twelfth is the official entrance test for admissions to Undergraduate Degree and Integrated Degree Programs being offered by constituent schools Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies at Mumbai, Shirpur, Bengaluru, Indore and Navi Mumbai Campuses.

 NPAT 2018 syllabus is still not announced by the official site. So, we can write there ‘ we are presenting you NPAT 2017 Syllabus’. 2018 syllabus sould be almost same with some structural changes. Will update 2018 syllabus once official site announces it.

NPAT Selection Procedure :

The candidates will be selected for admission on the basis of merit in the written test and their performance in the personal interview round.

NPAT Eligibility Criteria


  • Candidates above 25 years of age are not eligible to apply


  • The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam. Also, this should be inclusive of International Baccalaureate Diploma in any stream. This diploma must be attained from a recognised Board at first attempt. Candidates must note that IB Certificate awarded is not eligible
  • The candidate must have attained an aggregate of 60% marks in 10+2 equivalent exam
  • It is mandatory to have passed in Maths/ Statistics at 10+2 or equivalent exam
  • Candidates holding IB Diploma will be eligible only if he/she has Mathematics/ Statistics at standard level
  • CBSE and ICSE candidates need to mention 10th or equivalent aggregate marks of all the subjects
  • Students who have cleared 10+2 or equivalent examination through Distance education can also apply for the exam, but the school must be recognised only by National Institute of Open schooling (NIOS)

Candidate interested in NPAT exam should have a clear idea about the exam pattern and syllabus. This will help them to formulate strategy and excel in the exam.NPAT exam pattern is approved by NMIMS University Mumbai. NPAT will be conducted in a window of two days

  • Candidates will have to attempt a total of 120 Objective MCQ’s
  • The total time duration of the exam is 120 minutes
  • Each question carries equal marks.
  • Incorrect answer will lead to negative marking – penalty of 1/4th marks will in case of an wrong answer

There will be 2 Papers in each shift:

  1. NPAT 2017 – Common – with 3 sections detailed below
  2. NPAT 2017 – Design – with 3 sections detailed further below.
