  • The option to appear thrice during an admission cycle gives the candidate confidence to try the best. The best out of the 3 exams scores will be taken.
  • Unlike other exams they have a long testing window i.e. 75 days to take the exam. You can choose the venue, time and date of the examination.

  • Candidates with a full time bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks are eligible.
  • Candidate should in the final year of graduation are also eligible provided they clear the final year papers in the first attempt with 50% marks.
  • Those with two or more years of work experience are given preference.

Syllabus for NMAT by GMAC 2017-2018:

The syllabus is the same as other management entrance exams – Language skills, Quantitative skills and logical reasoning.

  • For Language Skills: Make thorough comprehension, language usage and rules, para jumble, vocabulary, fill in the blanks, antonyms, synonyms, grammar correction and idioms.
  • In Quantitative Skills: the topics covered are modern mathematics, data sufficiency, problem-solving, geometry and algebra, arithmetic, number systems, and data interpretation.
  • Logical Reasoning: in this section the questions are focused on coding and decoding, family tree, puzzles, series, arrangement, numeric grid, syllogisms, decision making and verbal skills.

Exam Pattern for NMAT by GMAC 2017-2018

  1. It is a computer based online exam.
  2. The NMAT by GMAC exam has 3 sections: Language skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning.
  3. The candidate has the liberty to choose the sequence of the test sections.
  4. Each section has a time limit set.
  5. A total of 120 questions to be finished in 2hrs.
  6. +1 mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking.
