The NEET entrance exam is for those who apply for MBBS and BDS courses. Those passing the NEET are eligible for admission into medical colleges except AIIMS and other colleges. NEET is conducted for those who have appeared for HSC. NEET 2017 is conducted in off line mode in about 2200 examination centers across 104 cities in the country. It is a pen-paper test and comprises of objective type questions. About 12 lakh candidates appear every year for the NEET 2017 exam. There are a total of 52,305 medical seats combining both MBBS and BDS.

The exam is conducted in offline mode and comprises of 180 objective type questions. The exam is conducted for a duration of three hours. There are four section namely Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. The exam is offered in several languages like English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Oriya and Kannada. Candidates will have to mark their answers on an OMR sheet.

Who Conducts NEET 2018?

NEET is conducted by CBSE under the guidance and approval of various government bodies. NEET UG -2018 will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament e.g. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
