The Maharashtra State council of Examination (MSCE) is the official body which conducts the Maharashtra State Teacher Eligibility Test (MahaTET). It gives opportunity to various aspiring candidates in the state to take up the teaching profession. The MSCE has announced to conduct the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test on 22nd July, 2017. Take Teaching Exams online tests

  1. Know the exam pattern

The first and foremost step in preparing for any exam is to know the exam pattern and syllabus. MahaTET is of objective type and consists of two papers: Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is for the candidate who intends to teach Classes 1 to 5 while Paper II is for those candidates who intend to be a teacher for Classes 6 to 8. However, a person who intends to teach all classes from 1 to 8 will have to appear for both papers. The Exam pattern for MahaTET 2017 is given below:

2. Manage your time efficiently

The exam is scheduled to be held on July 22 which means you have around 15-17 days to prepare for the exam. Therefore, you have to dedicate most of your time to this cause. Prepare a time-table giving equal time to each subject but focusing more on your weaker areas. Don’t lose focus and strictly follow the time-table.

3. Prepare paper-wise

If you are appearing only for Paper I, concentrate on the syllabus pattern covered by that section. For instance, one should read books of Class 1-5 as well as Class 6-8 books to covers the difficulty level. Similarly, for Paper II, one should cover 6-10 class books as well as class 11 & 12 books.

4. Go for coaching

With less time in your hand, you can seek the services of any coaching center. They would guide you to prepare for the exam in an organized manner and provide you with study materials. They might also teach you handy tricks to get through the exam.

5. Study in-depth

While studying, be thorough with the syllabus and make sure you don’t miss out on any significant areas. You can also go through previous year question papers, model questions, take mock tests to test your strength and time count.
