List of Current Ministers in India 2017 – Cabinet Ministers and Minister of State: The 16th Lok Sabha of India came into being on 26th May, 2014. It was more like a presidential election with a lot of media campaigns and social media campaigns. Narendra Modi became the 15th prime minister of India along with other ministers in his cabinet. Some of the notable events after the election of Shri. Narensdra Modi to Power – Scrapping Planning commission and setting up of NITI Aayog. Seting up of AYUSH ministry for propagating and promotion of AYUSH systems of health care. AYUSH is the abbreviation for Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy as an alternative to the health ministry.

On July 5, 2016 the Modi government made its first cabinet reshuffle with Smriti Irani being shifted to Textiles, while Babul Supriyo being shifted to Heavy Industries. Minorities Affairs Minister Najma Heptullah paved the way for Deputy Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. Venkiah Naidu was given Information and Broadcasting ministry, but today has become the Vice-President of India. The Finance Ministry is retained by Shri. Arun Jaitley.
