Eligibility Criteria for Karnataka High Court Recruitment 2018:
Qualification:
Candidate must hold a degree in law from a University in India. Applicant must have been practicing as an advocate in the High Court or in subordinate courts in India for not less than seven years.
Age Limit: Applicant must have attained an age of Forty-five years in case of UR candidates and must not have attained an age of 48 years in case of SC/ST candidates.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidate should be a citizen of India
- He should not be been dismissed from Judicial service previously
- There should be not a penalty imposed by the Bar Council on him
- Candidate should not be in a bigamous marriage or relationship
Pay Scale: Rs. 51550- 63070
Probation: Selected Candidates will be initially on a probation period of 2 years or for an extended period and if necessary they must be willing to undergo training during the specified period.
Competitive Examination:
For the Recruitment of District Judges, Karnataka High Court will conduct competitive examination that consists of a)Preliminary Examination
b) Main Examination
c)Viva Voce
Preliminary Examination: Preliminary Examination will comprise of Objective Type MCQ’s and will be conducted for 90 minutes. It is out of 100 marks.

Viva Voce: Viva Voce carries a maximum of 50 marks. Candidates’ General Knowledge, Grasp on Principles and suitability for appointment as District Judge shall be tested.
