International Women’s Day

It is observed as a public holiday in many countries. Men give their mother, wife, daughter, sister, female friends, colleagues some token of appreciation this day. Celebrating International Women’s Day
This day celebrates the achievements and contribution of women in the field of sports, law, education, media, music, movies, and more. It is also a day to thank the women in our lives for all they did for us. Our mother, friend, daughter, wife – whoever it may be and however small the contribution – this day is specifically meant for these special people that make our lives easier and better.
Why Celebrate International Women’s Day
Discrimination against women at workplace, sexual harrassment, domestic violence – all these are barriers to economic as well as social development. Nowadays, such heinous crimes can been seen in the news every other day. And it’s a shame for all of us. This day, we should all pledge to work towards gender equality in all stages and sectors of life. No, it shouldn’t be a day to showcase women as superior to man – but equal to men. And some people do forget that there’s a fine line of difference between the two.
How to Celebrate International Women’s Day
It is also known that many times, women themselves become a hindrance to other women. This shouldn’t be the case but unfortunately, it is. Women should encourage and appreciate each other instead of participating in pointless gossips and spoiling each other’s name.
On this International Women’s Day, let us all promise to be good to each other and fight together for equality and a fair system. Have a bright and successful future ahead! Be the inspiration for others.
