IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2020

As IBPS RRB Prelims Exam is scheduled in the month of August 2020, it is high time for candidates to begin their preparation. IBPS RRB Interview & Final Selection For Officer Scale I, II & III

The candidates who will clear the Mains exam are shortlisted for the interview process. An adequate number of candidates will be called for interview for the posts of Officer Scale I, II, and III.

  • The candidates’ number should not exceed three times the declared vacancies in every category which is subjected to availability.
  • The Interview will be conducted for a total of 100 marks.
  • The final selection of candidates for provisional allotment for each of the posts will be based on the combined marks secured by the aspirants in Mains and Interview.
  • Candidates must be aware that 80% weightage given to Mains and 20% weightage to Interview.

IBPS RRB 2020 Marking Scheme

As per the notification, there is a negative marking in the IBPS RRB 2020 Exam. The IBPS RRB marking scheme as prescribed by the examination authority is mentioned below.

  • For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded the +1 mark.
  • 0.25 marks or -1/4 marks will be deducted for each wrongly answered question.
  • No marks will be added or deducted for unanswered questions.
  • The corrected scores obtained by each candidate in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the equi-percentile method in order to shortlist the candidates for the next round of selection process.

IBPS RRB Exam Day Instructions 2020

On the day of the exam, candidates are advised to follow the below-listed instructions carefully else they will not be allowed to take up the exam. This year there are extra rules to be followed due to the current situation across India.

  • Candidates must have Arogya Setu App installed in their mobile phones. The app must show the risk factors of candidates.
  • After displaying the candidate’s status in the Arogya Setu App, candidates must switch off their mobile phones and submit at the designated location.
  • Any candidate having the body temperature above 99.14 degree F is not allowed to the examination hall.
  • Candidate should not share any of their personal belonging/material with anyone
  • Candidate should maintain a safe social distance with one another.
  • Candidate should stand in the row as per the instructions provided at the venue.
  • If a candidate is availing the scribe, then scribe also should bring their own Gloves, N95 Mask, sanitizer (50ml) and water bottle.
  • Wearing a mask is compulsory. Both candidate and Scribe will require to be wearing N95 Mask.
  • Reach the exam centre at least half an hour before the reporting time. Try to visit the exam center once before the exam so that you are about travelling time.
  • Carry all the documents including the admit card without fail to the exam center.
  • Follow the proper dress code prescribed by the exam officials.
  • Do not carry any electronic gadgets or calculators to the exam center.
  • No candidate is allowed to leave the exam hall before the exam timing. On completion of the exam, the candidates should move out in an orderly manner without crowding as instructed by the venue staff
  • Any required stationary will be provided by the exam officials inside the exam hall.

IBPS RRB Instructions for Candidates Using a Scribe

The visually impaired candidates and candidates whose writing speed are adversely affected permanently for any reason can use their own scribe at their cost during the online examination. For such students, there are few instructions to be followed as explained below:

  • The candidate will have to arrange his / her own scribe at his/her own cost.
  • The scribe may be from any academic stream. However, for Specialist Officers’ posts, the scribe should be from an academic stream different from that prescribed for the post.
  • Both the candidate as well as scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the scribe fulfills all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above.
  • Further, in case it later transpires that he/she did not fulfill any laid down eligibility criteria or suppressed material facts the candidature of the applicant will stand canceled, irrespective of the result of the CRP.
  • Those candidates who use a scribe shall be eligible for compensatory time of 20 minutes or otherwise advised for every hour of the examination.
  • The scribe arranged by the candidate should not be a candidate for the online examination under CRP RRB VIII. If violation of the above is detected at any stage of the process, candidature for CRP of both the candidate and the scribe will be canceled. Candidates eligible for and who wish to use the services of a scribe in the examination should invariably carefully indicate the same in the online application form. Any subsequent request may not be favorably entertained.
  • Only candidates registered for compensatory time (at the time of online registration) will be allowed such concessions since compensatory time given to candidates shall be system-based, it shall not be possible for the test conducting agency to allow such time if he/she is not registered for the same. Candidates not registered for compensatory time shall not be allowed such concessions.
