How are IBPS PO Exam Centers Allotted?

  • The Applicant has to mention the Exam Center preference while filling the Application Form.
  • While filling the Application Form the candidate has to fill the following details: “Exam Center”, “Center Code”, “State/UT where the exam center is located” & “State/UT Code”
  • IBPS allots the exam center on the basis of administrative feasibility & candidates preference.
  • The IBPS Administration holds the final decision to allot the IBPS Exam center.
  • Candidate’s IBPS PO Admit Card will have the information about his/her allotted Exam Center.

IBPS PO Exam Center Instructions

Candidates must follow these IBPS Exam Center Guidelines while appearing for the Online Exam.

  1. Take all requested documents including the IBPS PO Hall Ticket, Photo identification proof (Original+ photocopy).
  2. Candidates should check their allotted system thoroughly before appearing for the exam.
  3. Any kind of Bluetooth devices/chargers/microphone/pager/earphones is strictly prohibited.
  4. No stationary items are allowed inside the Exam Center.
  5. A rough paper is provided to all candidates inside the exam hall.
  6. The candidates will be asked to login to their allotted system with their Registration Id & Password provided by the IBPS.
  7. Once the time limit is completed, answers will get submitted automatically & no change could be made to any answers.

IBPS PO Exam Centers Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Q- Can the IBPS PO Exam Center be changed after I submitted the Application Form?

A- No, once the application form is submitted no changes can be made. Make sure to fill the application form with extreme care.

Q- Is the IBPS PO Exam held every year?

A- Yes, IBPS conducts the Bank PO exam once every year.

Q- Do I need a different Hall Ticket for Prelims & Mains? 

A- Yes, IBPS releases different Hall Ticket for both Prelims & Mains. Candidates appearing for the Mains Examination will need to download their IBPS PO Mains Admit Card before the exam.

Q-Will I be allotted the same exam center I put in the IBPS Application Form ?

A- The IBPS Exam Center is allotted on the basis of the candidate’s input in the application form however IBPS reserves the right to allot exam center according to their administrative resources.

Q- Will the Exam Center for Prelims & Mains be same?

A- It is not necessary that the allotted IBPS PO Exam Centers for both prelims & mains will remain the same. As the number of candidates decreased after the preliminary exam, Mains exam is held in fewer centers and the IBPS PO Mains Exam center is allotted accordingly.
