HSSC Exam Pattern 2018 for Group D

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission has released 18218 vacancies for Group D staff recruitment under various categories for Haryana State. The application process for the HSSC exam continued from 29th August to 18th September. The selection process for HSSC Group D Recruitment 2018 has 2 stages: Written Exam and  Socio-economic criteria and experience. Read further to know about the HSSC Exam Pattern for Group D 2018.

  • Written Exam – 90 marks
  • Socio-economic criteria and experience – 10 marks

HSSC Exam Pattern for Group D Staff Exam

Haryana Staff Selection Commission has finalized the exam pattern for selection of group D staffs under various categories. Candidates who can secure good marks in both the written exam and socio-economic criteria and experience can make it to the merit list. And final selection shall be done on the basis of merit list. You can have a look at the detailed exam pattern in the section given below:

1. Written Exam
Sections Included Weightage of Marks Total Marks
 General Awareness, Maths, Science, Reasoning, English/Hindi 75% 90
 Current Affairs, History, Geography, Civics, Literature, Culture, Environment 25%

2. Socio-economic criteria and experience

The Socio-economic criteria and experience is a section that consists of 10 marks and based on different conditions applicable to the candidate, there are separate sections of marks allotted as given below:

Criteria/Condition of the applicants Marks Allotted Total Marks
 If no nearest family member is an employee of Govt of India, Haryana or any other state government 5 10
 If a widow or orphan whose father died before 15 years/42 years 5
 If belongs to denotified or nomadic tribe of Haryana other than SC/ST/OBC 5
 Having 6-16 years of prior experience in the same or higher post under Haryana govt 8

Keeping in mind the above factors, on a total of 100 marks, the candidates shall be securing marks. On the basis of final marks, the merit list shall be made.
