Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati has announced that the last date for submission of the application form for the graduate aptitude Test in Engineering has been extended to October 9th 2017. GATE 2018 is being conducted for 23 subjects and it would be held on 3rd , 4th , 10th & 11th of February 2018. A candidate can appear only in one paper of the GATE examination.
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an entrance examination to test the understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science.
GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission or financial
assistance to: (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of
Science, in the institutions supported by the MHRD and other Government agencies. Even in
some colleges and institutions, which admit students without MHRD scholarship or assistantship,
the GATE qualification is mandatory. Several PSUs have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.

- [MR]: Will recall the value stored in memory.
- [M-]: Subtracts the displayed value from memory.
- Be sure to select the angle unit (Deg or Rad) before beginning any calculation.
- Enter ← to delete the last digit entered in the input box
Arithmetic Operators (+, – , * , /):
- + : Addition
- – : Subtraction
- * : Multiplication
- / : Division

How to use GATE Virtual Calculator 2018? : Limitations of GATE Virtual Calculator
- Keyboard operation is disabled, you will have to use a mouse.
- The output for a Factorial calculation is precise up to 14 digits. It will not work accurately for calculations that involve more than 14 digits.
- The output for Logarithmic and Hyperbolic calculations is precise up to 5 digits.
- Modulus (mod) operation performed on decimal numbers with 15 digits would not be precise. It is advisable to use mod operation for 14 digits and below. Mod Operation provides best results for smaller numbers.
- The range of value supported by the calculator is 10(-323) to 10(308).
