Week-wise preparation of Reasoning Syllabus for 1 Month

  • 1st Week: Inequality, Syllogism, Order & Ranking.
  • 2nd Week: Input-Output, Coding-Decoding, Alphanumeric Series & Direction-Based Questions.
  • 3rd Week: Blood Relations, Data Sufficiency, Verbal Reasoning & Seating Arrangements.
  • 4th Week: Puzzle;  Floor Based, Day & Month Based, Classification & Blood Relation Based.

Relatively Easy Topics:

Inequalities, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Alphanumeric Series, Classification.

  • These topics require very less time to solve.
  • You need to master them in a way that just by mere looking at the question, you already know the answer.
  • You just need to know the basics from each of these topics and you are good to go.
  • The easiness of these topics allow you to devote more time to harder topics.

Relatively Moderate Topics:

Blood Relations, Directions & Distance, Ordering & Ranking, Arrangement & Pattern, Floor Puzzle and Scheduling.

  • These topics require a lot of time to be solved.
  • They are very tricky so you need to be attentive.
  • Moreover, lot of questions come from these topics so you need to solve as many as possible.
  • Practicing is the only option to master this section.

Relatively Hard Topics:

Circular Seating Arrangements, Linear Seating Arrangements, Data Sufficiency.

  • You have to prepare yourself extra for this section. You’ll need to much practise to ace these topics.
  • Time Management is a big problem in this section. While practising for these topics, you need to keep a watch on your time taken to solve them. Also, try to decrease you time taken for each question gradually.
  • Solve at least 1 puzzle per day. Make it a daily routine.
  • Take regular Mock Tests. Solve Topranker’s IBPS RRB Mock Tests on a daily basis to mark your performance.

Some General Tips to improve your performance in IBPS RRB Officer Assistant Exam.

  • Make a plan to study. You have to follow that plan religiously. You need to give each section a particular time and practise it on that time without fail.
  • Design your own tricks and techniques. There are numerous ways to solve a problem. You need to find a way which best suits you. This will increase you speed and help you cope up with time-wastage.
  • Be familiar with the topics and exam pattern. Involve yourself in each topic so much that they feel like alphabets to you. The only way to do this is practising mock tests (a lot).
  • Go through previous year papers. This will give you an idea about the pattern in which questions are being asked. Every year there is a more or less weightage given to a particular topic in reasoning section.
