Graduate Aptitude Test Engineering (Gate) is a national-level entrance exam conducted for candidates who are seeking admission into M.E., M.Tech, and Ph.D. courses in IITs, NITs, CFTIs, and IIITs. This time, IIT Delhi is conducting the GATE Exam and has released the GATE Notification on September 3, 2019.

• GATE is conducted in online mode for 25 different disciplines.

GATE Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

All candidates who are applying for GATE 2020 must be a graduate or in the final year of B.tech/B.E. or Post Graduate (M.Sc) in any relevant science field.

Age Limit:

There is no age limit to apply for GATE Exam.

List of Eligible Qualifying Exams for GATE 2020:

• B.Tech/B.E/B.Pharm
• B.Sc (Research)/B.S
• B.Arch
• M.Sc/MCA/M.A or equivalent
• Professional Society Examination(equivalent to B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch)
• Integrated M.Sc/Integrated B.S/M.S
• Integrated M.E/M.Tech (post-B.Sc)
• And, Integrated M.E/M. Tech or dual degree (after diploma or 10+2)

GATE Selection Process

Each participating Institute in GATE follows their selection process according to their own admission criteria. Candidates must apply for admission into an M.Tech program to the institutes individually but it is mandatory for them to register for COAP as they will receive the admission offer through COAP only.

How to Apply Online for GATE 2020 Exam

IIT Delhi has released the Application Form on September 3, 2019, on their official website. Candidates can click on the link provided above to apply directly for GATE on or before the GATE 2019 last date.

• Visit the Official Website of GATE
• Firstly, register yourself for GATE 2020 through GOAP. After your registration, you will get an enrollment number. You can change your password for future purposes.
• Then, fill up all your important details like academic details, college, contact, and a valid photo ID details. Select your date and exam center as well.
• Upload your scanned image and signature. Note that the size of your photograph and signature should be proper and according to the official notice.
• Pay online application fees. Download and save your online application.
