DSSSB Normalization – Official Notice Released!

Good News, People! Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has released an official notice announcing DSSSB Normalization. You can find the formula to apply the normalization in this post.
DSSSB Normalization
DSSSB released the notice on 11th July 2018 regarding the normalization. According to the notice, normalization will be applicable for exams held online in multiple shifts. This will be done to account for variation in difficulty level. To apply the normalisation rule, the following “Score Normalisation based on Deviation Method” formula will be used:

Xn = (S2/S1)*(X-Xav) + Yav
where Xn = Normalization score for the candidate
S2 = Standard Deviation of the Shift with the Highest Average Score taken as base for normalization
S1 = Standard Deviation for the Corresponding Shift (to be scaled to S2)
X = Candidate’ raw score
Xav = Simple average of the shift
Yav = Average corresponding to shift with Highest Average
