Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Candidates who qualify in Tier I Exam will be shortlisted for Tier II or Mains Examination. .

Do’s while preparing for IBPS Clerk:

1. Study with minimum resources. There a plenty of resources available both online and off line.Refer Books by RS Agarwal, Arihant Publishers, Javed Siddiqui are some of the most widely read and recommended books used by candidates who have successfully cleared the IBPS Clerk Exam. 2. Practice: According to the old proverb, practice makes a man perfect. Practicing will help you to understand the actual examination pattern. You can work on your strengths and weaknesses only when you practice. It will also help you with develop speed and accuracy when you practice.

3. Questions in Quantitative Aptitude are difficult and it is always difficult than other section like Reasoning or English. There prepare well for this section

4. Solve Previous years Question Papers: It is very important to solve previous years question papers as this gives a good understanding of how well you can solve questions from each section.

5. Practice Maths well. Know tips and tricks well along with formulaes well. Learn Square root and Cube roots, and all important topics that are part of both Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. You need to calculate fast mentally. Remember, that you are not allowed to use calculators or electronic devices at the examination hall. You need to calculate everything mentally.

6. Practice Reading Comprehension well as this will come with practice.

7. Order of Attempt should be based on how well you are with time management. You can solve all easy questions first and then move on to difficult questions. However, questions in Quantitative aptitude can be time consuming. There is very little time when you look at the composite time given to you. So use your time well. If you are comfortable with difficult questions, then solve difficult questions well and move on to easy ones.

Don’t s while preparing for IBPS Clerk Examination

1. Don’t prepare for Exam on the Surface level as if you are going to answer a competition. You need to be a thorough expert in the subject if you want to crack the exam. Make notes of formulaes and concepts and revise them. Learn shortcuts, and understand the concepts to improve the speed.

2. Don’t be fond of one section or base your entire preparation on one section. Spend extra hours on topics that you are less confident about.

3. Don’t start learning new topics at the end moment. Its always wise to prepare in advance.

4. Take Online mock tests as this is a great way to help you improve on your weaknesses. It will also help to identify your weak areas.

5. Take Computer based tests. Computer based tests are important as this will help you to get acquainted with the online system of examination

6. Do not do guess work and do not waste time on questions that you are not sure about. Try to attempt correct answers as much as possible as there is penalty for wrong answers. Attempt the easy questions that you know from each Section

7. Don’t over stress yourself. Have a good sleep before the exam and eat well before the exam. Maintain a healthy lifestyle to perform well in the exam.
