Diesel Loco Modernisation Works Recruitment 2018

Diesel Loco Modernisation works have invited applications for the recruitment of Trade Apprentices. Interested and Eligible candidates can apply for the post of Trade Apprentices. Candidates have to apply in the prescribed format and submit their applications on or before 16 May 2018. There are a total of 140 Vacancies for Apprentices at Diesel Loco Modernisation or DMW Indian Railways Plant.

DMW Recruitment 2018 Vacancies:

• Electrician – 70 Vacancies
• Machinist – 32 Vacancies
• Fitter – 21 Vacancies
• Welder (Gas and Electric) – 17 Vacancies
• Total Number of Vacancies – 140 Vacancies 

Eligibility Criteria for DMW Recruitment 2018:

Educational Qualification:

1. Electrician: 10+2 in Science subjects with a minimum of 50% and ITI Trade Certificate in Electrician Trade
2. Machinist: 10+2 in Science subjects with a minimum of 50% and ITI trade Certificate in Machinist Trade
3. Fitter: 10+2 in Science subjects with a minimum of 50% and ITI Trade Certificate in Fitter Trade
4. Welder: Candidate should have passed Class 8 Examination

About DMW: In the year 1979, a decision was taken to set up Diesel Component Works at Patiala. Till then most of the Diesel locomotives were imported from abroad. The name of DCW was changed to Diesel Loco Modernisation Works (DMW) in July 2003 to signify the modernization of Diesel Locomotives being done in the unit.
