CET To Ease Difficulties Faced By Under-Privileged Sections: Aarambh Digital Book Published

Jitendra Singh, Union Minister (Member of Lok Sabha) has announced in his recent conference that CET (Common Eligibility Test) will ease the difficulties faced by the under privileged or lower sections of the economy.

He mentions that all the difficulties or problems faced by poor sections of the society related to the government jobs will be simplified by CET.

He has also announced the release of a digital book named “Aramabh” highlighting the achievements of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). Mr Singh says, “During the current situation, this department has set new standards of functioning, which were not only widely hailed but also emulated.”

The department’s iGOT (Integrated Government Online Training Program) includes a course on generating awareness and training the warriors fighting during this situation. The best achievement of this initiative is registration of 23 lakh people for this program.

One of the most important initiatives this year was the exercise to set up the National Recruitment Agency (NRA), which will conduct computer-based online Common Eligibility Test (CET) for recruitment to non-gazetted posts with examination centres in every district, Singh said. According to him, this will ease the difficulties faced by aspirants for government jobs.

The minister adds, holding onto its title “Aarambh”, the year 2020 has come up with new beginnings. The first one being the experiment of interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi by 425 trainee officers from 21 different Civil Services at the Statue of Unity.

These officers were part of the common foundation course of 21 service and were selected through the Civil Services Examination, said the Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

The agencies that were working under the guidance of DoPT such as Kendriya Bhandar came up with the initiative to provide essential items such as PPE Kits, sanitisers and other materials. They fulfilled the requirement at locations where there was shortage of these items.
