CTET Recruitment 2018

The Central Board of Secondary Education has released CTET Recruitment 2018 to recruit teachers in different government institutions. CTET has extended the date to upload Photograph and Signature from 30th August 2018 till 2nd September 2018 for candidates who couldn’t upload it earlier. Similarly candidates can also pay their fees via e-challan. Earlier, the CTET online application had started from 1st August 2018 and you can fill the online form till 27th august 2018. A huge number of applicants are expected to apply for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test, CTET 2018 Exam. Those students who has already registered but could not able to upload the Photograph and Signature can now upload it till 2nd September 2018. Also, students can do payment through e-Challan, credit/debit card & netbanking till 5th September 2018 (2 PM).

CTET Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Paper I:

Paper I exam is conducted for candidates who want to apply for teacher roles for Class 1 to Class 5. For that, a candidate must have the following Educational Qualification:

  • candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education(2 years duration), Or
  • candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks and cleared or appearing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education(2 years duration) according to NCTE Regulations 2002.
  • Or, candidates who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing final year of Bachelor’s of Elementary Education(4 years duration) Or
  • Candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing final year of Diploma in Education(2 years duration),
  • Or, Candidate who has Bachelor’s degree and has cleared or appearing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education(2 years duration).
  • Candidate who has completed Graduation with 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B. Ed).
Paper II:

Paper II exam is conducted for candidates who want to apply for teacher roles for Class 6 to Class 8. For that, a candidate must have the following Educational Qualification:

  • candidate who has Graduation degree and has cleared or appearing final year of Diploma in Elementary Education(2 years duration) Or,
  • candidate who has completed his/her Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appearing final year of Bachelor’s of Education, Or
  • candidates who has completed his/her Bachelor’s degree with 40% marks and has cleared or appearing final year of Bachelor’s of Education according to NCTE regulations, Or
  • candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing final year of Bachelor’s of Elementary Education(4 years duration) Or
  • candidate who has completed Senior Secondary or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and has cleared or appearing final year of B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed or B.A./B.Sc. Ed, Or
  • candidate who has Graduation degree with 50% marks and has cleared or appearing final year of B.Ed program of 1 year.

Age Limit

  • Minimum: 18 years.
  • Maximum: No Limit.

CTET Recruitment Selection Process and Exam Pattern

CTET Selection Procedure

The recruitment process for CTET includes a written exam for the candidates applying for the post. The candidates have to score a minimum of 60% or above to qualify the exam. Apart form this, they also have to clear the basic eligibility criteria. On qualifying the above, the candidates can apply for the relevant teachers posts at different schools. Thereafter, they undergo their own selection process for appointment. The candidates qualifying CTET 2018 shall be receiving  a certificate that will remain valid for 7 years from the date of announcement of the result.

CTET Paper Pattern

There are two paper for the selection of a candidate for CTET Exam:

  • Paper I: It is conducted for candidates willing to teach in Class 1 to Class 5. The exam has 5 papers, Language I, Language II, Child Development & Pedagogy, Environmental Science and Mathematics. The Exam is of 150 marks and the duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. There are total 150 questions in the exam and there is no negative marking for any wrong answer.
  • Paper II: It is conducted for candidates willing to teach in Class 6 to Class 8. The exam has 4 papers, Language I, Language II, Child Development & Pedagogy, Social Science/Social Studies(for Social Science/Studies teachers only) and Mathematics & Science (for Mathematics & Science Teacher only). The Exam is of 150 marks and the duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 minutes. There are total 150 questions in the exam and there is no negative marking for any wrong answer.
