CMAT Exam Pattern 2018
CMAT 2018 Pattern- Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national-level computer-based management entrance exam conducted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) for admission to MBA and PGDM program across its participating institutes. The CMAT entrance exam is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year. CMAT 2018 allows B-schools to screen applicants that best suit their requirements.
The CMAT is a three hour online multiple choice objective type test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.

- Marking Scheme – +4 marks for every correct answer; -1 for every incorrect answer

Each section in the exam carries 25 questions. The maximum marks in every section is 100.
CMAT Exam Pattern 2018 – Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
In this section, the calculation skills of the candidates are tested. The questions are based on percentages, ratio & proportion, profit & loss, linear equations, quadratic equations, probability, mensuration, trigonometry, functions etc.
CMAT Exam Pattern 2018 – Logical Reasoning
In logical reasoning section, the candidates are tested on their analytical and logical reasoning skills. An ability to interpret a large amount of data and information can help the candidates score well in this section. The questions are based on arrangements, syllogisms, critical reasoning, calendars, line charts etc.
CMAT Exam Pattern 2018 – Language Comprehension
In this section, the candidates are tested on their English language skills. Many of the questions are based on vocabulary and English grammar. The questions are based on jumbled sentences, fill in the blanks, sentence correction, reading comprehension, analogies or reverse analogies etc. To do well in this section, the candidates need to have a strong grasp of the English language.

CMAT Exam Pattern 2018 – General Awareness
In this section, the candidates are tested on their knowledge of general affairs. The candidates must stay updated on the latest happenings in the world. Reading newspapers, magazines and using the internet for latest news are some of the best ways to keep abreast of the latest happenings around the world.
CMAT Exam Pattern 2018 – Marking Scheme
In CMAT exam, the number of questions is 100. Each of the four sections has 25 questions. The maximum marks in each section are 100 and the total maximum marks are 400. For every correct answer, the candidates are awarded 4 marks. There is also negative marking in the CMAT exam. For every incorrect answer, one mark is deducted from the score.
CMAT is a highly competitive exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). A good score in CMAT 2018 exam will pave the way for admission in MBA programs offered by top management colleges across the country. CMAT scores are accepted by over 1000 institutes that have been approved by the AICTE.
