Both CLAT and BLAT are law entrance exams and every law aspirant will love these exams as they are gateway to getting into Law school in order to become a lawyer. Common Law Admission Test is an all India entrance examination conducted to get into 17 National Law Universities. There are 18 national law universities accepting the CLAT Scores, however there are more than 36 private universities who accept the CLAT scores and provide admission to law courses based on CLAT scores.
BLAT is conducted by Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. or by the Kashi Hindu Vishwavidayala. It is is a leading law entrance exam taken by thousands of students who are amongst those competing for 60 seats in BHU for law.

The exam is conducted for a duration of 2 hours. The CLAT 2018 has a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Scope and coverage of questions under different subject areas:
English including comprehension:
The English section tests the candidates’ proficiency in English based on comprehension passages and grammar. In the comprehension section, candidates will have to answer questions on their understanding of the passage and its central theme, meanings of words used in the passage, etc. The grammar section requires correction of incorrect grammatical sentences, filling of blanks in sentences with appropriate words, etc.
General Knowledge and Current Affairs:
The General Knowledge will be tested on the general awareness including static general knowledge. Questions on current affairs will consist of national and international current affairs.
The Mathematics section will test knowledge of elementary mathematics or mathematics taught at school level till class 10.
This section will test candidate’s interest towards study of law, research aptitude and problem solving ability. Questions may include legal propositions, and a set of facts to which the given proposition has to be applied. Some propositions may not be “true” in the real sense, candidates will have to assume the “truth” of these propositions and answer the questions accordingly.
The logical reasoning section tests the ability to identify patterns, logical links and rectify illogical arguments. It may include a variety of logical reasoning questions such as syllogisms, logical sequences, analogies, etc. However, visual reasoning will not be tested.

For the purpose of LL.B. (Hons) (Three Year/ Six Semester ) Course admission, the Banaras Hindu University conducts Undergraduate Entrance Test (UET), during 3rd /4th week of May every year. Admissions are made according to merit in the UET,
Banaras Hindu University conducts BLAT 2017 for admission to around 60 seats of BA LLB programme trhough undergraduate Test 2017. BHU Law admission test was conducted in offline mode in 16 cities in India. Candidates seeking admission to five year law programmes must know about the all details.
Admission procedure: BLAT will be based on merit and candidates having higher marks in 10+2 will be given consideration. Candidates of elder age will be preferred.
BLAT Eligibility Criteria 2017:
Candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board of education in India.
Candidates must have obtained 50% marks of above for General category, 45% marks for OBC and 40% for SC/ST category
Candidates should be more than 20 years of age for UR candidates and for SC/ST must not be older than 22 years of age.
