The merit list indicates the All India Rank and category rank based on CLAT scores.
It also determines seat allocation.
It is released at the time of the CLAT result declaration.
2. Release of Invite List:
Shortlisted candidates for counselling and seat allotment are announced.
The invite list contains the names and CLAT admit card numbers of selected candidates.
There is separate counselling for UG and PG programs.
Counselling letters are issued to candidates on the invite list.
The call letter can be downloaded from the CLAT official website.
A registration fee of Rs. 50,000 must be paid, which will be adjusted with the semester fee at the allotted NLU.
Submission of required documents during counselling is mandatory.
4. Release of CLAT Seat Allotment 2024:
The seat allotment process takes place in 5 rounds.
After each round, the Consortium releases the CLAT Provisional List.
Separate seat allotment lists are published for each NLU.
Three options are available after seat allotment: accept the allotted seat, apply for an upgrade, or exit the process.
I) Accept/Lock the seat:
If you choose this option, the allotted NLU is frozen.
You will not be considered for further allotment rounds.
Payment of fees and completion of admission formalities are required.
II) Apply for Upgrade:
This option allows you to change the allotted NLU.
In the next round, you may be allowed a seat in your preferred college based on availability.
Active participation is maintained by selecting the upgrade option.
III) Exit the Admission Process:
You can choose this option if you are not interested in joining the allotted NLU.
Once exited, you will not have another chance to participate in NLU admission counselling.
