The conditions of the CLAT Reservation Policy are taken into consideration and worked over at the time of the allotment procedure. During the CLAT Counselling, candidates belonging to the following categories are considered for seat-reservation purposes.

- In 2019, the total number of seats released was approximately 2175.
- All India Seats for the UG Course in NLU was 1308 in 2019.
- Last year, the Special Category seats available were a total of 235.

- Before selecting a particular college, you must be aware of all the information about the participating colleges.
- It is important for candidates to know about the CLAT Colleges fee structure, cutoff, selection process of the particular college they have applied for admission.
- As per the previous trends, the CLAT Participating Colleges cut-off marks vary for each participating college. Hence candidates must score above the cut-off specified by the particular college in order to get shortlisted for the counseling process.

CLAT Participating Colleges FAQs
1) How many NLUs will participate in CLAT 2021?
A) A total of 21 NLUs will participate in CLAT 2021. Apart from these NLU’s, several other private institutions and public sector units will also provide admissions for law courses. All the institutions will use CLAT Score to provide admissions in their LLB and LLM courses. The admissions will be provided to the aspirants based on their rank.
2) When can I provide my choice options for NLUs?
A) You can provide your NLU choices while applying for CLAT Exam. You should be careful while choosing NLU’s because if you submit your choice of NLU’s, then it can not be changed. In the case of multiple applications filed by you for CLAT, the last submitted form will be treated as final by the authority.
3) How many CLAT seats are available in the participating institutes?
A) Around 2500 undergraduate seats and 720 postgraduate seats are available in the CLAT participating institutes. The eligibility criteria, CLAT Colleges cut-off, and selection process will be different for all the institutions. Candidates should choose the institute based on their CLAT score. In addition to these seats, 5% of seats will be reserved for Specially Abled Persons (SAP) at the all-India level as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

5) Are there reservations in NLUs?
A) Yes. All NLUs have reservations for SCs and STs and quite a few of them have seats for OBCs as well. Various institutes have regional quotas and some also have reservations for women, wards of defense personnel, and even NRI-sponsored Candidates. In all the institutions, 5% of seats will be reserved for Specially Abled Persons (SAP) at the all India level as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The admissions will be provided for the students based on the cut-off, eligibility criteria, and CLAT score.
6) Is CLAT Score only applicable for law colleges or else we can use the score to get admission to other colleges?
CLAT Score is mainly applicable to National Law Universities. However, the CLAT score is accepted by some other private colleges such as

7) Is there any reservation of seats in the CLAT Participating Colleges?
Yes. There is a reservation policy in CLAT 2021 and it will be taken into consideration at the time of the allotment procedure. Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST), Physically Disabled Candidates (PwD) Scheduled Caste (SC), NRI/Foreign National aspirants, Kashmiri Migrant, Other Backward Classes (OBC), State Quota for the candidates in which NLU is located, Candidates belonging to the North-Eastern States.
