CLAT EXAM 2016 PATTERN AND STRUCTURE

Knowing about the pattern and structure of CLAT Exam is very important. This can guide you to prepare for the test in the right way. Time Duration of the CLAT Exam will be 2 hours. Both undergraduate test and post graduate test will have a different pattern of questions.
The UG Exam of CLAT will have 200 questions and each question will carry one mark. You will have four options of answers for each question. You should mark the correct answer for all the questions. Remember that a mark of 0.25 will be cut if you give a wrong answer. CLAT PG Exam will be in 150 marks and all the marking system will be as equal as the UG Exam. Make sure that you do not mark more than one answer to a question.
Structure of the CLAT 2016 Exam
The UG Exam will have 5 sections which will be divided. These 5 sections of CLAT are English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Elementary Mathematics, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The English Section with Comprehension and Logical Reasoning will have 40 questions for each section. Likewise, General Knowledge & Current Affairs and Legal aptitude sections will have 50 questions each. 20 questions will come from Elementary Mathematics.
The dividing system for PG Exam is different. The sections will be Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence and Other law subjects. Other subjects of CLAT PG Exam will include Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, Family Law, Property Law, Intellectual Property Law, etc. All these 3 sections will have 50 questions each.
