Vacancies: In CISF, there are two types of vacancies. One vacancy is for candidates belonging to normal region, while the other set of vacancies is reserved for candidates from conflict zones and areas that are affected by Naxalism.

The person claiming relaxation under this category

Upto 5 years in upper age limit for General candidates.

Upto 10 years in upper age limit for SC/ST candidates.

Educational Qualification: 12th pass with science subject or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/ University. Educational certificates other than State Board/ Central Board should be accompanied with Govt. of India notification declaring that such qualification is equivalent to 12th Class pass with science subject for service under Central Govt.
