Eligibility Criteria for Bihar IAS Exam 2018
- Age Limit – If you’re a male candidate, you must not be greater than 37 years. And if you’re a female candidate, you must not be greater than 40 years. Also, the minimum age is 20 years for Bihar Police Service, District Commandant, and Product. For all other posts, the minimum age limit is 22 years.
- Educational Qualification – You should have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University.
- Physical Standards for Bihar Police & District Commandant –
- Height – For Unreserved & OBC category – At least 5 ft 5 inches, for SC / ST – at least 5 ft 3 inches, for Females – at least 5 ft 2 inches
- Chest (without expansion)-
- For Unreserved and OBC category – at least 32 inches
- For SC / ST at least 31 inches
Pay Scale
Rs.9300 – 34,800/- per month
Application Fee for Bihar IAS Exam 2018
You have to pay an amount of Rs.750 as application fee. However, for SC/ST candidates form Bihar domicile, the fee is Rs.200 only.
Selection Procedure for Bihar IAS Exam 2018
You have to go through three phases of the exam. The first round is the Preliminary examination. If you clear this 1st phase, you have to go sit for the Mains examination. The final round is an Interview.
Exam Pattern
The Prelims exam is of objective nature. And you will get 2 hours in total to complete the paper. Total marks is 150.
The syllabus comprises of General Mental Ability, General Science, Indian History, Bihar History, Rivers of Bihar, National Movement and the contribution of the Bihar in National Movement and Economic condition of Bihar at the time of Independence.
