A group known as All India Council for Technical Education conducts this test to check the knowledge of the students.

CMAT is a computer based entrance test wherein you will have to attend an objective type question model. A good 3 hours is given for this Common Management Entrance Test. There are various sections under CMAT Exam. A proper syllabus is announced by AICTE for this examination. Every year the same syllabus is being followed.
CMAT Exam (2016-2017) Test Pattern:

Any candidate who is a citizen of India and who is a graduate is capable of attending the CMAT Entrance Examination. The students who are about to attend their final semester can also apply for the test. But you should make sure that your results are out before the beginning of the examination.
