AFMS or Armed Forces Medical Services is recruitment Short Service Commissioned Officer for a promising and challenging career. Applications are invited from both Male and Female who are Indian Citizens.

Eligibility Candidates must have completed Final MBBS examination in first or second attempt only and completed an internship. Applicants who have taken more than two attempts for final Prof. MBBS Part I and II examination need not apply.

Interview: Eligible candidates will be called for interview by Board of Officers in March 2018 to assess suitability for SSC. Candidates appearing for first time will be paid sleeper class railway/bus fare.

Physical Standards Test for AFMS Recruitment Notification 2018:

1. For all Candidates: Every candidate on being qualified in interview will have to attend the Initial Medical Examination (IME) for examining his or her medical fitness as per laid down standards. All medical findings will remain confidential.

   Candidates declared Unfit may appeal to Appeal Medical Board (AMB). The Candidates declared “UNFIT‟ by the AMB may apply for the Review Medical Board (RMB).

2. For female Candidates: Pregnancy, if detected at any stage, after selection at interview or during commission Medical Examination will render the candidate as ‘TEMPORARILY UNFIT’.

MERIT LIST: Merely, qualifying for the interview does not confirm final selection. A merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the interview. Candidates with NCC Certificate will be given due weightage. Based on Interview Score and Medical Test, candidates will be given SSC post as per availability.

EMPLOYABILITY: Being a Medical officer of Armed Forces Medical Services, the candidate can be employed in any part of the country or abroad, in Army, Navy or Air Force. They may have to work independently in the units allotted to them.

• Corporation as a proof of name and date of birth (Born after 1992).  
• Aadhar Card  
• Permanent Medical Registration Certificate.  
• Internship Completion Certificate.  
• MBBS Degree Certificate, PG Degree Certificate.  
• Final MBBS (Pt I & II) Attempt Certificate or Transcript Certificate.  
• No Objection Certificate from present employer, if any.  
• NCC Certificate, if any.  
• National Board of Examination Certificate for Foreign Medical Graduates.  
• Passport for Foreign Medical Graduates  
• Gazette Notification or any other authority clearly highlighting your new name, if there is any change in the name after Matriculation (10 th Class).  
• 10 Passport size photographs, photo identity proof and address proof. Attestation Form in triplicate duly filled in and attested by Competent Authority
