The students who are going to appear in the AFCAT Paper 2 this year must check out the following for AFCAT Shift Timings, exam dates as well as other important guidelines that all students must be aware of.

  • The first shift for both the days will begin at 08.00 AM sharp
  • The students are advised to reach the AFCAT Exam Center 15 minutes prior to the exam is scheduled
  • Students must not misbehave in the exam hall otherwise the authorities might take strict action
  • Candidates must not forget to carry their AFCAT Admit Card to the exam hall along with their identity proof (original & photocopies)
  • The AFCAT Exam will have 100 questions that have to be finished within 2 hours, check AFCAT Exam Pattern

AFCAT Exam Instructions

Candidates appearing for the paper must check out the following instructions:

  • Candidates must not forget to carry their Admit Card & identification proof with them
  • Ensure to carry a ballpoint pen to the exam hall
  • Pen Drives, Mobile Phones, Bluetooth Earphones, Microphones, Pagers, Health Bands or any such kind of other electronic devices are not to be carried in the examination hall. Candidates can face negative consequences
  • The exam shall begin sometime after the reporting time. In this time period, students may be permitted to read the instructions carefully and admit card of each student present in the hall will be checked
  • Students can appear in the paper only during the shift allotted to them, specifically. They cannot appear at another shift timing. If one does so, their candidature will not be considered

AFCAT 2019 Last Minute Preparation Tips

Read the following to get the last minute preparation tips for the AFCAT Exam:

  • Students must make it a regular habit to read a newspaper in the morning. Select the best – The Hindu and The Economic Times. This shall be a great help for the candidates to improvise their English Vocabulary as well as General Knowledge.
  • Speak with your peers and friends in English to improve your English communication skills.
  • Try to get some time out and write one or two paragraphs daily on a specific topic. One can allot topic to their own self or check from some book of basic articles. This gives one practical writing experience and one will understand their weak areas. And it also helps mitigate the exam fear
  • AFCAT Exam Preparation must be concentrated on Practicing Reasoning Ability and Numerical Ability questions as much as possible
  • Review the AFCAT Syllabus & collect quality study material for each section. Take suggestions from the teachers and the internet to find the names of the best books available
  • One can also download/install the GK and English Apps on their smartphones. Also, the apps can be utilized, well, during small breaks and while traveling
  • When the last few days are left, try to take one new Mock Tests each day. Try to evaluate performance and find weak areas. Work on these weak areas in order to improve your score gradually
  • One must go through the previous years question papers every day for some time. This shall help the students to understand what kind of repetitive questions are there. This will also help to understand the paper pattern in a better way which will help them a lot in the exam. Candidates will become more confident in solving problems by reviewing and solving the previous year question papers
  • Do not forget to do the revision every day
