Indian Air Force is going to conduct online Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). The exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of August 2018. Soon the exact exam date is going to be released on the official website. AFCAT Exam Pattern 2018

The AFCAT exam is a two-stage exam:

  1. Online AFCAT Test
  2. SSB

1. Online AFCAT Test

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) entrance test will contain multiple choice questions. It will be held for a duration of two hours.

AFCAT Online Exam Scheme:
  • There are a total of 100 questions. Each Question is of 3 marks.
  • Wrong answers marked by the candidates carry a penalty of 1 mark.
  • Questions that are not attempted do not carry a penalty.
  • You will get 2 hours in total to complete the paper.
  • Test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other tests will be conducted on the first day.

2. SSB

Stage-I: Test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other tests will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I test is a screening test and those who qualify for the subsequent tests will be called for the further screening process.

Candidates who qualify in Stage I will be subjected to document check to see if they are eligible for the branches that they have applied for. Who do not qualify in Stage I of testing and do not meet eligibility standards will be asked to go back home on Day 1 and their candidature remains canceled beyond this. Candidates who are shortlisted in AFCAT will be called for further testing at AFSB or Air Force Selection Board in any of its branches at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar or Varanasi.

Stage-II: Stage-II consists of Psychological Test, Group Test, and Interview which is conducted for a period of 5 days.

Stage III: Once you are through stage II, you will be called for Medical Examination

Stage IV: AFSB will prepare the All India Merit List based on the applicant’s performance in the written test and interview.
