In 2017, there were approximately 2.31 candidates who successfully registered for CAT 2017 to be held on November 26^th in two sessions. In 2016, there were 2,32, 434 candidates who had applied for the CAT exam. The exact number of applicants are not currently known and the figures will be revealed by the conducting institute on Tuesday. This shows that there is a decline in applications from last year. It seems like the global slowdown has affected the number of applicants seen this year in CAT.

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) for admission to 20 IIMs and over top 100 B-schools across India. CAT is the King of all management entrance exams. It is the toughest management exam and CAT scores are accepted by both IIM’s and top 100 B-Schools.
