Founded in the year 1938, Dena Bank, A Public sector Bank constituted under the Acquisition & Transfer Act, 1970. Headquartered in Mumbai, Dena bank’s total branch network stands at 1874 having approximately 14000 employees.

Dena Bank Notification

As per the official notification, Dena Bank had invited application for 300 Probationary officer posts on 18th April 2017. On the basis of candidate’s performance in the exam, Admission to the 12 months post Graduate Certificate Course in Banking & Finance (PGBDF) at Amity University, Noida. The exam which was scheduled to be conducted on 11th June 2017 was rescheduled to be conducted on 2nd June 2018. However, the exam was cancelled by Dena Bank. And till now, there is no further update regarding the exam.

How to Apply for Dena Bank PO

The application link is not active now. The steps to apply has been given below according to last few years' procedure.

  • Visit the official website of Dena Bank.
  • Now look for recruitment tab and click on it.
  • Register on the official website to apply for the recruitment.
  • Save your login credentials.
  • Login using your login details and fill the application form.
  • Upload the required documents as instructed in the official notification.
  • Pay the application fee as per your category and click on submit.
  • A new tab will appear on the screen with final application, save it.
  • Download and take a print out of the final application for future reference.

Dena Bank Selection Process

The selection process for Dena Bank PO will consist of 3 stages:

  1. Online Written Test (Objective + Descriptive)
  2. Group Discussion
  3. Personal Interview

Dena Bank Exam Pattern

  • All the candidates are required to obtain a minimum score in each of the test and also a minimum total score in the online test to be shortlisted for group discussion & Interview.
  • Examination for Dena Bank PO will take place in 4 different phases.
  • Phase I, Objective Test will consist of 4 subjects. Each subject will carry 50 Marks (50 Questions) for a total time of 2 Hours.
  • Phase II, Descriptive test will consist of 2 English descriptive questions having a weightage of 50 marks for a total time of 30 minutes.
  • Phase III, Group Discussion will carry 20 marks.
  • Phase IV, Personal Interview will have a weightage 80 marks. Various General questions related to Banking will be asked in the Interview.

    Dena Bank PO Syllabus

    Syllabus for Dena Bank PO will consist of various topics from Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and English Language.

    • Questions from Reasoning will be asked from various topics such as; Coding – Decoding, Direction based problems, Blood relations etc.
    • Level of difficulty - Easy to Moderate.
    • English language questions will be asked from topics such as; Cloze Test, Spotting errors, Para jumble, spelling correction etc.
    • Level of difficulty - Moderately Difficult.
    • Quantitative aptitude will have questions from topics like Number series, Date Interpretation, Simplification, Ratio and proportion etc.
    • Level of Difficulty - Easy to Moderate.
    • Questions from General Awareness will be asked from topics such as; current Affairs, Static Awareness, Banking/ Financial Awareness etc.
    • Level of Difficulty - Easy to Moderate.
