यूके ने दिवाली के अवसर पर महात्मा गांधी के स्मारक सिक्के का अनावरण किया

• यूनाइटेड किंगडम (यूके) की सरकार ने महात्मा गांधी के जीवन और विरासत को मनाने के लिए £5 के सिक्के का अनावरण किया है। यह पहली बार है जब महात्मा गांधी को ब्रिटेन के आधिकारिक सिक्के पर याद किया गया है। सिक्का सोने और चांदी सहित कई मानकों में उपलब्ध है, विशेष कलेक्टरों का सिक्का हीना ग्लोवर द्वारा डिजाइन किया गया था।
• यूके के चांसलर ऋषि सुनक ने सिक्के के लिए अंतिम डिजाइन को चुना। सिक्का में गांधी के सबसे प्रसिद्ध उद्धरणों में से एक - 'मेरा जीवन मेरा संदेश है' के साथ भारत के राष्ट्रीय फूल कमल की एक छवि है।

गुआंगमु: चीन ने पृथ्वी विज्ञान उपग्रह लॉन्च किया

• चीन ने उत्तरी शांक्सी प्रांत के ताइयुआन सैटेलाइट लॉन्च सेंटर से विश्‍व का पहला पृथ्वी-विज्ञान उपग्रह, गुआंगमु या एसडीजीसैट -1 अंतरिक्ष में लॉन्च किया है। उपग्रह को चीनी विज्ञान अकादमी (CAS) द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था और सतत विकास लक्ष्यों (सीबीएएस) के लिए बिग डेटा के अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अनुसंधान केंद्र द्वारा विकसित किया गया था।
• गुआंगमु को लॉन्ग मार्च -6 वाहक रॉकेट द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया था जो कि 395 वां उड़ान मिशन है। SDGSAT-1 सतत विकास के लिए UN 2030 एजेंडा के अनुसार अनुकूलित पहला उपग्रह है जिसे शांति और समृद्धि के लिए 17 SDG के साथ 2015 में अपनाया गया था।

राष्ट्रीय

प्रधानमंत्री ने विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग और सड़क परियोजनाओं को राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया

• प्रधान मंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंस के माध्यम से महाराष्ट्र के पंढरपुर में विभिन्न राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग और सड़क परियोजनाओं की आधारशिला रखी और राष्ट्र को समर्पित किया। इन पहलों का उद्देश्य भक्तों के लिए परेशानी मुक्त और सुरक्षित आवाजाही को सुविधाजनक बनाने के लिए क्षेत्र में कनेक्टिविटी में सुधार करना है।
• प्रधानमंत्री ने श्रीसंत ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज पालकी मार्ग (NH-965) के पांच खंडों को चार लेन और संत तुकाराम महाराज पालकी मार्ग (NH-965G) के तीन खंडों को चार लेन का बनाने की आधारशिला रखी।
• श्रीसंत ज्ञानेश्वर महाराज पालकी मार्ग को पांच चरणों में पूरा किया जाएगा, जिसकी अनुमानित लागत करीब 6690 करोड़ रुपये है, जबकि 4400 करोड़ रुपये की अनुमानित लागत से संत तुकाराम महाराज पालकी मार्ग को तीन चरणों में पूरा किया जाएगा।

त्रिपुरा ने देश का 'पहला' बांस से बना क्रिकेट बल्ला विकसित किया

• त्रिपुरा के बैम्बू एंड केन डेवलपमेंट इंस्टीट्यूट (BCDI) ने नॉर्थ ईस्ट सेंटर ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी एप्लीकेशन एंड रीच (NECTAR) के साथ मिलकर क्रिकेट बैट के निर्माण के लिए इस्तेमाल किए जाने वाले सभी मानक प्रोटोकॉल को बनाए रखते हुए देश का पहला बांस से बना क्रिकेट बैट विकसित करने का दावा किया है। इन बल्ले का इस्तेमाल क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूपों में किया जा सकता है। क्रिकेट के बल्ले के उत्पादन के लिए सबसे पसंदीदा लकड़ी विलो है। कंपनी के सीईओ ने हाल ही में बिप्लब कुमार देब को उत्पाद का प्रदर्शन दिया।
• बैट के विकास के लिए हार्ड बूम (स्थानीय नाम) बांस का उपयोग किया गया है। "कनकाइच (एक स्थानीय प्रकार का बांस)" का उपयोग बांस के विकेट बनाने के लिए भी किया गया है, जो लगभग पूरी तरह से ठोस होते हैं।

तीसरा गोवा मैरीटाइम कॉन्क्लेव रविवार से शुरू होगा

• गोवा मैरीटाइम कॉन्क्लेव (GMC) 2021 का तीसरा संस्करण भारतीय नौसेना द्वारा 07 से 09 नवंबर, 2021 तक नेवल वॉर कॉलेज, गोवा में आयोजित किया गया है। नौसेनाध्यक्ष एडमिरल करमबीर सिंह सम्मेलन की अध्यक्षता करेंगे। 2021 GMC का विषय "समुद्री सुरक्षा और उभरते गैर-पारंपरिक खतरे: IOR नौसेनाओं के लिए सक्रिय भूमिका के लिए एक मामला" है।
• 12 हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र (IOR) देशों के नौसेना प्रमुख / समुद्री बलों के प्रमुख इस सम्मेलन में भाग ले रहे हैं, जिसमें बांग्लादेश, कोमोरोस, इंडोनेशिया, मेडागास्कर, मलेशिया, मालदीव, मॉरीशस, म्यांमार, सेशेल्स, सिंगापुर, श्रीलंका और थाईलैंड शामिल हैं। कॉन्क्लेव हिंद महासागर क्षेत्र में गैर-पारंपरिक खतरों और अन्य मुद्दों पर चर्चा करने के लिए एक मंच प्रदान करता है।

राष्ट्रीय कानूनी सेवा दिवस 2021: 09 नवंबर

• भारत में, 09 नवंबर को कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम 1987 के अधिनियमन के उपलक्ष्य में सभी कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरणों द्वारा प्रतिवर्ष "राष्ट्रीय कानूनी सेवा दिवस " के रूप में मनाया जाता है। कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम और वादियों के अधिकार के तहत विभिन्न प्रावधानों के बारे में लोगों को जागरूक करने के लिए यह दिवस मनाया जाता है।
• 11 अक्टूबर 1987 को, कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम 1987 अधिनियमित किया गया था, जबकि यह अधिनियम 9 नवंबर 1995 को प्रभावी हुआ था। राष्ट्रीय कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण (NALSA) का गठन कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम, 1987 के तहत 5 दिसंबर 1995 को समाज के कमजोर वर्गों को मुफ्त कानूनी सेवाएं प्रदान करने और विवादों के सौहार्दपूर्ण समाधान के लिए लोक अदालतों का आयोजन करने के लिए किया गया था।

पर्वतारोही प्रियंका मोहिते को तेनजिंग नोर्गे राष्ट्रीय साहसिक पुरस्कार 2020 मिलेगा'

• महाराष्ट्र स्थित, 28 वर्षीय पर्वतारोही प्रियंका मोहिते को युवा मामले और खेल मंत्रालय द्वारा भूमि साहसिक के क्षेत्र में उत्कृष्ट योगदान के लिए प्रतिष्ठित 'तेनजिंग नोर्गे राष्ट्रीय साहसिक पुरस्कार 2020' के लिए चुना गया । उन्होंने विश्‍व की सबसे ऊंची चोटी माउंट एवरेस्ट, माउंट ल्होत्से और माउंट मकालू को फतह किया। वह विश्‍व की 10वीं सबसे ऊंची पर्वत चोटी अन्नपूर्णा पर चढ़ने वाली पहली भारतीय महिला हैं।
• प्रियंका '2020 तेनजिंग नोर्गे राष्ट्रीय पुरस्कार' के 7 प्राप्तकर्ताओं में से एक हैं और 2021 के राष्ट्रीय खेल पुरस्कार के दौरान राष्ट्रपति राम नाथ कोविंद से पुरस्कार प्राप्त करेंगी।

• प्रसिद्ध अर्थशास्त्री और भारत सरकार के पूर्व मुख्य आर्थिक सलाहकार, डॉ शंकर आचार्य ने "एन इकोनॉमिस्ट एट होम एंड एब्रॉड: ए पर्सनल जर्नी" नामक एक नई पुस्तक लिखी है। पुस्तक में सबसे कुशल नीति अर्थशास्त्री डॉ शंकर आचार्य के पेशेवर और व्यक्तिगत जीवन को दिखाया गया है।

भास्कर चट्टोपाध्याय द्वारा लिखित पुस्तक "द सिनेमा ऑफ सत्यजीत रे"

• लेखक भास्कर चट्टोपाध्याय द्वारा लिखित और वेस्टलैंड द्वारा प्रकाशित 'द सिनेमा ऑफ सत्यजीत रे ' नामक एक नई पुस्तक महान भारतीय फिल्म निर्माता - 'सत्यजीत रे' के जीवन का विवरण देती है। भास्कर चट्टोपाध्याय ने "पतंग" (2016), "हियर फॉल्स द शैडो" (2017), और "द डिसएपियरेंस ऑफ सैली सिकेरा" (2018) जैसे उपन्यास भी लिखे।

• प्रदीप मैगजीन द्वारा लिखित पुस्तक 'नॉट जस्ट क्रिकेट: ए रिपोर्टर्स जर्नी ' दिसंबर 2021 में रिलीज होने जा रही है। इसमें पत्रकार प्रदीप पत्रिका द्वारा भारतीय क्रिकेट के जीवन के अनुभव, सामाजिक, राजनीतिक, उतार-चढ़ाव शामिल हैं। वह "नॉट क्वाइट क्रिकेट " पुस्तक के लेखक हैं जिसने मैच फिक्सिंग कांड को उजागर किया।

UK unveils commemorative Mahatma Gandhi coin to mark Diwali

• The Government of the United Kingdom (UK) has unveiled a £5 coin to commemorate the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. It is the first time Mahatma Gandhi has been commemorated on an official UK coin. The coin is available in a range of standards, including gold and silver, The special collectors’ coin was designed by Heena Glover.
• Rishi Sunak, Chancellor of the UK, chose the final design for the coin. The coin features an image of a lotus, India’s national flower, alongside one of Gandhi’s most famous quotes – ‘My life is my message’.

Guangmu: China launches earth science satellite

• China has launched the world’s first Earth-science satellite, Guangmu or SDGSAT-1 into space from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the northern Shanxi Province. The satellite was launched by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and developed by the International Research Center of Big Data for Sustainable Development Goals (CBAS).
• Guangmu was launched by a Long March-6 carrier rocket which is the 395th flight mission. SDGSAT-1 is the first satellite customized according to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which was adopted in 2015 with 17 SDGs for peace and prosperity.

PM dedicates various National Highway and Road projects to the nation

• Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated various National Highway and Road projects to the nation in the temple town of Pandharpur in Maharashtra, through video conference. These initiatives are aimed at improving connectivity in the region to facilitate the hassle-free and safe movement of devotees.
• PM laid the foundation stone for four laning of five sections of Sreesanth Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg (NH-965) and four laning of three sections of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg (NH-965G).
• The Sreesanth Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg will be completed in five phases at estimated costs of more than Rs. 6690 crore while Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg will be completed in three phases at estimated costs of about Rs. 4400 crore.

Tripura develops country's 'first-ever' bamboo made cricket bat

• Bamboo and Cane Development Institute (BCDI) of Tripura along with the North East Centre of Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR) claimed to have developed the country’s first-ever bamboo made cricket bat maintaining all the standard protocols used for manufacturing cricket bats. These bats could be used in all forms of cricket. The most preferred wood for the production of cricket bats is willow. The company’s CEO recently gave Biplab Kumar Deb a demonstration of the product.
• For the development of the bats, the hard Boom (local name) bamboo has been utilized. “Kanakaich (a local kind of bamboo)” has also been used to build bamboo wickets, which are almost completely solid.

Third Goa Maritime Conclave to begin on Sunday

• The third edition of Goa Maritime Conclave (GMC) 2021 has been organised by the Indian Navy from November 07 to 09, 2021 at Naval War College, Goa. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Karambir Singh would chair the conclave. The theme for 2021 GMC is “Maritime Security and Emerging Non-Traditional Threats: A Case for Proactive Role for IOR Navies”.
• Chiefs of Navies/ Heads of Maritime Forces from 12 Indian Ocean Region (IOR) countries are participating in the conclave, which includes Bangladesh, Comoros, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Myanmar, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. The conclave provides a platform to discuss non-traditional threats in the Indian Ocean Region and other issues.

National Legal Services Day 2021: 09th November

• In India, 09 November is celebrated as “National Legal Services Day” every year by all Legal Services Authorities, to commemorate the enactment of the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987. The Day is celebrated to make people aware of the various provisions under the Legal Services Authorities Act and the right of the litigants.
• On 11 October 1987, the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987 was enacted, while the act took effect on 9 November 1995. The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) was constituted under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 on 5 December 1995, to provide free Legal Services to the weaker sections of the society and to organize Lok Adalats for amicable settlement of disputes.

Mountaineer Priyanka Mohite to get Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2020'

• Maharashtra-based, 28-year old mountaineer Priyanka Mohite was selected by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for the prestigious ‘Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award 2020’ for outstanding contribution in the field of land adventure. She scaled the world’s highest peak Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse and Mt.Makalu. She is the 1st Indian woman to climb Mt Annapurna, the 10th highest mountain peak in the world.
• Priyanka is one among the 7-recipients of the ‘2020 Tenzing Norgay National Award’ & will receive the award from President Ram Nath Kovind in during the 2021 National Sports Award.

• A new book titled ‘The Cinema of Satyajit Ray’ written by the author Bhaskar Chattopadhyay and published by Westland details the life of legendary Indian Filmmaker – ‘Satyajit Ray’. Bhaskar Chattopadhyay also authored novels like “Patang” (2016), “Here Falls the Shadow” (2017), and “The Disappearance of Sally Sequeira” (2018).

Book ‘Not Just Cricket: A Reporters Journey’ by Pradeep Magazine

• A book titled ‘’Not just cricket: A Reporters Journey’’ authored by Pradeep Magazine is going to be released in Dec 2021. It consists of life experiences, social, political, ups and downs of Indian cricket by the journalist Pradeep Magazine. He is the author of the book “Not quite cricket” which exposed the match-fixing scandal.
• Pradeep Magazine is a cricket writer, columnist and former sports editor of The Pioneer, the India Today e-paper and Hindustan Times. He began his journalistic career in 1979 with the Chandigarh edition of The Indian Express and was its cricket editor in 1999-2000. Widely travelled, Magazine has covered international cricket in every Test-playing nation; he is the author of the book Not Quite Cricket that exposed the match-fixing scandal much before it surfaced in 2000.
