एनजीटी ने दिल्ली एनसीआर में पटाखों की बिक्री / उपयोग पर प्रतिबंध लगाया

• नेशनल ग्रीन ट्रिब्यूनल ने सोमवार को दिल्ली एनसीआर में 9-10 नवंबर, 2020 की मध्यरात्रि से 30 नवंबर - 1 दिसंबर, 2020 की मध्यरात्रि तक सभी प्रकार के पटाखों की बिक्री / उपयोग पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध लगा दिया। ये दिशा-निर्देश देश के उन सभी शहरों / कस्बों पर भी लागू होंगे, जहाँ नवंबर के दौरान परिवेशी वायु की गुणवत्ता (पिछले वर्ष के उपलब्ध आंकड़ों के अनुसार) का औसत 'खराब' और इससे ऊपर की श्रेणी में आता है। इसके अलावा, ऐसे स्थान जहां AQI मध्यम या नीचे है, वहां ग्रीन पटाखे बेचने की अनुमति है और त्योहारों के दौरान दो घंटे तक उपयोग प्रतिबंधित हो सकता है।
• एनसीआर के चेयरपर्सन जस्टिस आदर्श कुमार गोयल की अध्यक्षता वाली पीठ ने एनसीआर में पटाखों के उपयोग से प्रदूषण के खिलाफ सुधारात्मक कार्रवाई करने की मांग करने वाली याचिकाओं के एक समूह द्वारा पारित किया था।

केरल ने मछुआरों की आजीविका में सुधार के लिए “परिवर्तनम” योजना का किया शुभारंभ

• केरल सरकार ने मछली पकड़ने वाले समुदाय की आजीविका में सुधार करने के लिए 'परिवर्तनम' नामक एक अग्रणी पर्यावरणीय कार्यक्रम की शुरूआत की है। इस योजना का उद्देश्य समुद्र तट के किनारे युवाओं के आजीविका कौशल में सुधार करना है और मछुआरा समुदाय के सामाजिक-आर्थिक उत्थान को सक्षम बनाना है।
• परिर्वतनम, जिसका अर्थ है बदलाव है, केरल राज्य के तटीय क्षेत्र विकास निगम (KSCADC) के नेतृत्व में आयोजित किया जाएगा।
• यह योजना साफ और ताजा मछली उत्पादों के प्रसंस्करण और विपणन को बढ़ावा देगी।
• परिवर्तनम भी उचित मुआवजे के रूप में मछली पकड़ने वालों को एक निश्चित मूल्य की गारंटी दी जाएगी।
• यह कॉलेज से निकलने वाले युवाओं और C-19 के कारण घर लौटने वाले प्रवासी कामगारों को भी रोजगार प्रदान करेगी।

अरुणाचल प्रदेश में हुआ भारत की पहली सौर-आधारित जल आपूर्ति परियोजना का शुभारंभ

• केंद्रीय जल शक्ति मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत ने अरुणाचल प्रदेश में भारत की पहली सौर-आधारित एकीकृत बहु-ग्राम जल आपूर्ति परियोजना (Integrated Multi-Village Water Supply Project) का शुभारंभ किया है। सौर-आधारित लिफ्ट जलापूर्ति परियोजना देश में अपनी तरह की पहली परियोजना है, जिसे 28.50 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से शुरू किया गया है। हालांकि, इस तरह की परियोजनाएं देश के अन्य हिस्सों में भी शुरू की जाएंगी।
• यह परियोजना अरुणाचल प्रदेश के दिबांग घाटी जिले के निचले 39 गांवों के 17,480 लोगों को पीने का पानी प्रदान करेगी।
• सौर-आधारित एकीकृत बहु-ग्राम जल आपूर्ति परियोजना को तीन कार्यक्रमों -पीने के पानी, हरित ऊर्जा और पर्यटन की एकीकृत परियोजना के रूप में डिजाइन किया गया है।
• इस परियोजना में ग्रीन एनर्जी-सोलर ग्रिड, स्काडा ऑटोमेशन सिस्टम, प्री-फैब्रिकेटेड जिंक एलम स्टोरेज टैंक और मेन, सब-मेन और डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन नेटवर्किंग सिस्टम के लिए एचडीपीई कंडेक्ट का उपयोग किया गया है। इस परियोजना में स्विमिंग पूल, एम्फीथिएटर, फव्वारे और बैठने के लिए मनोरंजन पार्क भी शामिल हैं।

 AIM और Sirius ने मिलकर लॉन्च किया 'एआईएम-सीरियस इनोवेशन प्रोग्राम 3.0'

• नीति आयोग की प्रमुख पहल अटल नवाचार मिशन (Atal Innovation Mission) और रूस के Sirius (Scientific International Research In Unique Terrestrial Station) ने मिलकर – ‘AIM–Sirius Innovation Programme 3.0’ लॉन्च किया है। AIM-सीरियस इनोवेशन प्रोग्राम 3.0 भारत और रूसी स्कूली बच्चों के लिए 14-दिनों तक चलने वाले एक वर्चुली कार्यक्रम है।
• यह पहली इंडो-रशियन द्विपक्षीय युवा इनोवेशन पहल है, जो दोनों देशों के लिए वेब और मोबाइल आधारित, दोनों तरह के तकनीकी समाधान का विकास करना चाहती है।
• इस कार्यक्रम के दौरान लगभग 48 छात्र और 16 शिक्षक और संरक्षक C-19 महामारी के मद्देनजर क्षेत्रों की एक विस्तृत श्रृंखला में वैश्विक चुनौतियों का सामना करने के लिए 8 ऑनलाइन उत्पादों और मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन विकसित करेंगे।
• इन क्षेत्रों में संस्कृति, दूरस्थ शिक्षा, अनुप्रयुक्त संज्ञानात्मक विज्ञान, स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण, खेल, फिटनेस और खेल प्रशिक्षण, रसायन विज्ञान, कृत्रिम बुद्धिमत्ता और डिजिटल प्रॉपर्टी शामिल हैं।

 पीएम मोदी ने की शिपिंग मंत्रालय का नाम बदले जाने की घोषणा

• जहाजरानी यानी शिपिंग मंत्रालय (Shipping Ministry) का नाम बदलकर अब मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ पोर्ट्स, शिपिंग और वाटरवेज (Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways) किया जाएगा।
• इसकी घोषणा प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 8 नवंबर 2020 को गुजरात के हजीरा रो-पैक्स टर्मिनल लॉन्च इवेंट और हजीरा और घोघा के बीच रो-पैक्स नौका सेवा को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना के दौरान की, जिससे दोनों स्थानों के बीच की 370 किलोमीटर की दूरी समुद्री मार्ग से घटकर दूरी 90 किमी हो जाएगी।
• साथ इस सेवा से इन दोनों स्थानों के बीच लगने वाला यात्रा समय 10 से 12 घंटे घटाकर केवल चार घंटे हो जाएगा। यह फेरी प्रतिदिन तीन यात्राएं, सालाना पांच लाख यात्रियों की आवाजाही, 80,000 यात्री वाहनों, 50,000 दोपहिया वाहनों और 30,000 ट्रकों के परिवहन को सक्षम बनाएगी।

फिल्म निर्माता सुदर्शन रतन का निधन

• बॉलीवुड फिल्म निर्माता सुदर्शन रतन का निधन C-19 के कारण हो गया। उन्हें माधुरी दीक्षित और शेखर सुमन द्वारा अभिनीत 1986 की फिल्म मानव हत्‍या के लिए जाना जाता था।
• इसके अलावा, दिवंगत फिल्म निर्माता ने 1996 की एक्शन ड्रामा फिल्म हाहाकार का लेखन, निर्देशन और निर्माण भी किया था, जिसमें सुधीर पांडे, शफी इनामदार, नीलिमा अज़ीम और जॉनी लीवर ने अभिनय किया था।

राष्ट्रीय कानूनी सेवा दिवस: 09 नवंबर 2020

• भारत में, 09 नवंबर को प्रतिवर्ष सभी कानूनी सेवाओं के अधिकारियों द्वारा "राष्ट्रीय कानूनी सेवा दिवस" के रूप में मनाया जाता है, कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम 1987 को लागू करने के लिए।
• कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम और मुकदमों के अधिकार के तहत लोगों को विभिन्न प्रावधानों के बारे में जागरूक करने के लिए दिवस मनाया जाता है। इस दिवस को मनाने का उद्देश्य समाज के कमजोर वर्गों के लोगों के लिए नि: शुल्क, प्रवीण और कानूनी सेवाओं की पेशकश करना है। यह कमजोर वर्गों के लोगों को मुफ्त सेवाओं की उपलब्धता सुनिश्चित करने के साथ-साथ उन्हें उनके अधिकारों के बारे में जागरूक करने का प्रयास भी करता है।
• 11 अक्टूबर 1987 को, कानूनी सेवा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम 1987 लागू किया गया, जबकि इस अधिनियम ने 9 नवंबर 1995 को प्रभावी किया। दिन की शुरुआत भारत के सर्वोच्च न्यायालय द्वारा 1995 में समाज के गरीब और कमजोर वर्गों को सहायता और सहायता प्रदान करने के लिए की गई थी। । यह एक कमजोर और गरीब लोगों के समूह को सहायता और सहायता देने के लिए एक जनादेश के साथ स्थापित किया गया था जो महिलाओं, विकलांग व्यक्तियों, अनुसूचित जनजाति (एसटी), बच्चों, अनुसूचित जाति (एससी), मानव तस्करी पीड़ितों के साथ-साथ प्राकृतिक भी हो सकते हैं।

• प्रतिवर्ष 8 नवंबर को विश्व स्तर पर International Day of Radiology यानि अंतरराष्ट्रीय रेडियोलॉजी दिवस मनाया जाता है। यह दिन रेडियोलॉजी के उस मूल्य के बारे में जागरूकता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए मनाया जाता है, जो सुरक्षित रोगी देखभाल में योगदान देता है, और स्वास्थ्य देखभाल की निरंतरता में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका रेडियोलॉजिस्ट और रेडियोग्राफर की सार्वजनिक समझ में निरंतर सुधार करता है।
• वर्ष 2020 का रेडियोलॉजी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस सभी सक्रिय पेशेवरों को समर्पित होगा, जिन्होंने C-19 रोगियों के निदान और उपचार के लिए एक अनिवार्य योगदान देने में C-19 महामारी से लड़ने में उनकी आवश्यक भूमिका निभाई। अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस रेडियोलॉजी 2020 का आदर्श वाक्य: ‘Radiologists and radiographers supporting patients during C-19’.

विद्या बालन की लघु फिल्म नटखट ’ऑस्कर के लिए नामांकित  

• विद्या बालन द्वारा अभिनीत और सह-निर्मित भारतीय फिल्म नटखट ’ने बेस्ट ऑफ इंडिया शॉर्ट फिल्म फेस्टिवल 2020 के तीसरे संस्करण में शीर्ष पुरस्कार जीता है। पुरस्कार जीतने से, फिल्म 2021 ऑस्कर योग्यता के लिए पात्र हो गई है। फिल्म का निर्देशन शान व्यास ने किया है और रॉनी स्क्रूवाला और विद्या बालन द्वारा सह-निर्मित किया गया है।
• फिल्म ने $ 2,500 (लगभग 1,85,497 रुपये) की नकद पुरस्कार राशि भी जीती और पोर्ट्सटीवी पर एक टेलीविज़न प्रसारण सौदे का अवसर मिला। 2018 से भारतीय (भारत) फिल्म निर्माता के असाधारण काम को सम्मानित करने और पहचानने के लिए बेस्ट ऑफ़ इंडिया फेस्टिवल को शॉर्ट्सटीवी द्वारा स्थापित किया गया है।

NGT bans sale and use of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR

• The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has imposed a total ban on the sale and use of firecrackers in the Delhi-NCR region from 9 November to 30 November. The ban will be applicable in cities and towns where the air quality is in the “poor” category.
• NGT further added that in cities or towns where the air quality is “moderate” or below, only green firecrackers will be sold and the time duration of bursting them will be restricted to two hours during festivals such as Diwali, Chhath, New Year/Christmas Eve as may be specified by the state. Currently, the state governments have their own set of guidelines with regard to permitting/banning the sale and use of firecrackers during the festive season.

Kerala launches “Parivarthanam” scheme for better livelihood of fisherfolk

• The government of Kerala has launched a pioneering eco-sustainable programme called ‘Parivarthanam’, to improve the livelihood of the fishing community. The scheme aims at improving the livelihood skills of youngsters along the coastline and also enable socio-economic uplift of the fishermen community.
• Parivarthanam, which means change, will be headed by Kerala State Coastal Area Development Corporation (KSCADC).
• The scheme will promote the processing and marketing of clean fish and its fresh products.
• Parivarthanam will also guarantee a fixed price to fish-catchers as fair compensation.
• It would also provide jobs to college dropouts and migrant workforce returning home due to C-19.
• Apart from this, the Central Institute of Fisheries Technology (CIFT) of Union governments will monitor the procurement and processing of fish besides ensuring its quality.

1st solar-based water supply project of India launched in Arunachal Pradesh

• Union Jal Shakti Minister, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has launched India’s first solar-based Integrated Multi-Village Water Supply Project (IMVWSP) in Arunachal Pradesh. The solar-based lift water supply project is ‘first of its kind’ in the country, and has been commissioned at a cost of Rs 28.50 crore. However, such projects will be carried out in other parts of the country too.
• The project would provide drinking water to 17,480 people in 39 villages of Lower Dibang Valley district in Arunachal Pradesh.
• The solar-based Integrated Multi-Village Water Supply Project has been designed as an integrated project with three components, which are drinking water, green energy and tourism.
• The project uses a green energy-solar grid, SCADA automation system, pre-fabricated zinc alum storage tank and HDPE conduit for mains, sub-mains and distribution networking system. The project also includes amusement park including swimming pool, amphitheatre, fountains, and sit-outs.

 AIM and Sirius jointly launch ‘AIM-Sirius Innovation Programme 3.0’

• The Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), a flagship initiative by the NITI Aayog, and Russia’s Sirius (Scientific International Research In Unique Terrestrial Station) have jointly launched ‘AIM–Sirius Innovation Programme 3.0’. AIM–Sirius Innovation Programme 3.0 is a 14-day virtual programme for Indian and Russian schoolchildren.
• It is the first Indo-Russian bilateral youth innovation initiative, which seeks to develop technological solutions, both web-based and mobile-based, for the two countries.
• During the event, around 48 students and 16 educators and mentors will create 8 virtual products and mobile applications to address global challenges across a wide range of areas, in the wake of the C-19 pandemic.
• These areas include culture, distance education, applied cognitive science, health and well-being, sports, fitness, and games training, chemistry, artificial intelligence, and digital financial assets.

 PM Modi: Shipping ministry to be renamed

• The Ministry of Shipping is being expanded and renamed as the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways. This information was given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8 November 2020, during a launch event of Ro-Pax terminal at Hazira and flagging off the Ro-Pax ferry service between Hazira and Ghogha in Gujarat, which will reduce the 370-km road distance between the two places to 90-km by sea route.
• The service will also cut the travel time between the two places to about four hours from 10 to 12 hours. The ferry will make three trips daily, annually transporting five lakh passengers, 80,000 passenger vehicles, 50,000 two-wheelers and 30,000 trucks, as per the release.

 OBITUARY

Filmmaker Sudarshan Rattan passes away

• Bollywood filmmaker Sudarshan Rattan passed away due to C-19. He was known for his 1986 film Manav Hatya, starring Madhuri Dixit and Shekhar Suman.
• Apart from this, the late filmmaker had also written, directed and produced the 1996 action drama film Hahakaar, starring Sudhir Pandey, Shafi Inamdar, Neelima Azeem and Johny Lever among others.

National Legal Services Day: 09 November

• In India, 09 November is celebrated as “National Legal Services Day” every year by all Legal Services Authorities, to commemorate the enactment of the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987.
• The Day is celebrated to make people aware of the various provisions under the Legal Services Authorities Act and the right of the litigants. The aim of celebrating this day is to offer free of charge, proficient and legal services to the people belonging to weaker sections of society. It also seeks to make sure the availability of free services to weaker section people as well as making them conscious about their rights.
• On 11 October 1987, the Legal Services Authorities Act 1987 was enacted, while the act took effect on 9 November 1995. The day was started by the Supreme Court of India in 1995 to provide help and support to poor and weaker sections of the society. It was established with a mandate to offer help and support to a weaker and poor group of sections of people which may be women, disabled persons, Scheduled Tribes (STs), children, Scheduled Castes (SCs), human trafficking victims as well as natural calamities victims.

 International Day of Radiology: 08 November

• International Day of Radiology is observed globally on 8th November every year. The day is celebrated to promote the awareness of the value that radiology contributes to safe patient care, and improving public understanding of the vital role radiologists and radiographers play in the healthcare continuum.
• In 2020, the International Day of Radiology will therefore be dedicated to all imaging professionals and their essential role in fighting the C-19 pandemic making an indispensable contribution to the diagnosis and treatment of C-19 patients. The motto of International Day of Radiology 2020: ‘Radiologists and radiographers supporting patients during C-19’.

Vidya Balan’s short film ‘Natkhat’ eligible for Oscar nomination

• The Indian film ‘Natkhat’, starring and co-produced by Vidya Balan, has won the top prize at the third edition of Best Of India Short Film Festival 2020. By winning the festival, the film has become eligible for 2021 Oscar qualification. The film has been directed by Shaan Vyas and co-produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Vidya Balan.
• The film also won cash prize money of $2,500 (approximately Rs 1,85,497) and an opportunity for a television broadcast deal on ShortsTV. The Best of India Festival has been established by ShortsTV since 2018 to honour and recognize the exceptional work of the Indian (India) filmmaker.
