मेक इन इंडिया: केंद्र ने 4,445 करोड़ रुपये के परिव्यय के साथ 7 मेगा टेक्सटाइल पार्क स्थापित करने को मंजूरी दी

• केंद्र ने अर्थव्यवस्था में कपड़ा क्षेत्र के विकास को आगे बढ़ाने और भारत को वैश्विक वस्त्र मानचित्र पर मजबूती से स्थापित करने में मदद करने के प्रयास में देश भर में सात नए मेगा टेक्सटाइल पार्क, या पीएम मित्र पार्क की स्थापना को मंजूरी दी है। मेगा इंटीग्रेटेड टेक्सटाइल रीजन एंड अपैरल पार्क (PM MITRA) माननीय प्रधान मंत्री के 5F विजन पर आधारित होंगे। '5F' फॉर्मूला में फ़ार्म टू फ़ाइबर; फ़ाइबर टू फैक्ट्री; फैक्ट्री टू फैशन; फैशन टू फॉरेन शामिल हैं।
• इन पार्कों को एक विशेष प्रयोजन वाहन द्वारा विभिन्न राज्यों में ग्रीनफील्ड और ब्राउनफील्ड साइटों पर स्थापित किया जाएगा, जो सार्वजनिक-निजी भागीदारी (PPP) मोड में राज्य सरकार और भारत सरकार के स्वामित्व में होगा। परियोजना के लिए कुल परिव्यय पांच वर्षों के लिए 4,445 करोड़ रुपये निर्धारित किया गया है।

श्री मनसुख मंडाविया ने यूनिसेफ की स्टेट ऑफ द वर्ल्ड्स चिल्ड्रन रिपोर्ट जारी की

• केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्री मनसुख मांडविया ने नई दिल्ली में यूनिसेफ के ग्लोबल फ्लैगशिप पब्लिकेशन "द स्टेट ऑफ द वर्ल्ड्स चिल्ड्रन 2021; ऑन माय माइंड: प्रोमोटिंग, प्रोटेक्टिव एंड केयरिंग फॉर चिल्ड्रनस मेंटल हेल्थ" शीर्षक से एक रिपोर्ट प्रकाशित की है। रिपोर्ट में बच्चों के मानसिक स्वास्थ्य पर C-19 महामारी के महत्वपूर्ण प्रभाव का विवरण दिया गया है।
• स्वस्थ समाज के निर्माण के लिए मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को एक महत्वपूर्ण पहलू के रूप में संबोधित करना बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। मनसुख ने कहा कि माता-पिता और परिवार के साथ मानसिक स्वास्थ्य के मुद्दों को संबोधित करने के लिए शिक्षक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण हितधारक हैं।
• यूनिसेफ इंडिया के प्रतिनिधि डॉ यास्मीन अली हक ने रिपोर्ट के कुछ प्रमुख निष्कर्ष प्रस्तुत किए।
• रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, भारत में 15 से 24 वर्ष के लगभग 14 प्रतिशत या उनमें से 7 में से 1 ने अक्सर उदास महसूस करने या काम करने में कम दिलचस्पी होने की सूचना दी।

असम में 'भारत का पहला' ई-फिश मार्केट ऐप लॉन्च

• असम के मत्स्य पालन, पर्यावरण और वन और उत्पाद शुल्क मंत्री, परिमल शुक्लाबैद्य ने भारत का पहला ई-मछली बाजार फिशवाले ऐप लॉन्च किया। टेबल आकार की मछली जैसे भांगन, मृगल और रोहू और मीठे पानी और समुद्री जल जमी हुई मछली (आइसबॉक्स) के साथ सूखी मछली के पैकेट, सूखी कच्ची मछली, मछली के अचार और प्रसंस्कृत मछली उत्पादों के साथ उपलब्ध होगी।
• इस ऐप को राज्य के मत्स्य विभाग के सहयोग से एक्वा ब्लू ग्लोबल एक्वाकल्चर सॉल्यूशंस प्राइवेट लिमिटेड द्वारा विकसित किया गया, मंत्री ने श्री माधवदेव भवन सभागार में आयोजित एक समारोह में ऐप को "एक्वाकल्चर के लिए वन-स्टॉप सॉल्यूशन" कहा, जो खरीदारों और विक्रेताओं दोनों की मदद करेगा। यह मंच मछली पालन करने वाले समुदाय को उनकी उपज का उचित मूल्य दिलाने और बिचौलियों को खत्म करने में मदद करेगा।

बर्लिन के ओलंपियास्टेडियन में जर्मनी ने यूरो 2024 के लिए लोगो का अनावरण किया

• जर्मनी फ़ाइनल में आयोजित होने वाले स्टेडियम में एक लाइट शो के साथ एक समारोह के दौरान फ़ुटबॉल की 2024 यूरोपीय चैम्पियनशिप के लिए लोगो का अनावरण किया। लोगो में हेनरी डेलाउने कप – बल्बस टूर्नामेंट ट्रॉफी – की एक रूपरेखा है जो ओलंपियास्टेडियन की छत के समान रंगीन अंडाकार रूपरेखा पर सेट है। इसमें यूईएफए के 55 सदस्य देशों के झंडों के रंग हैं, जो 24 टीमों का प्रतिनिधित्व करने के लिए ट्रॉफी के चारों ओर 24 स्लाइस में सेट हैं, जो अंततः जर्मनी में टूर्नामेंट के लिए अर्हता प्राप्त करेंगे।
• 10 मेजबान शहरों में से प्रत्येक के लिए लोगो; बर्लिन, कोलोन, डॉर्टमुंड, डसेलडोर्फ, फ्रैंकफर्ट, गेल्सेंकिर्चेन, हैम्बर्ग, लीपज़िग, म्यूनिख तथा स्टटगर्ट भी प्रस्तुत किए गए। टूर्नामेंट जून और जुलाई 2024 में खेला जाना है और अगले वर्ष मैच शेड्यूल की पुष्टि की जाएगी।

विश्व अंडा दिवस: 2021

• विश्व अंडा दिवस 1996 से प्रत्येक वर्ष अक्टूबर के दूसरे शुक्रवार को विश्‍व भर में मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष का विश्व अंडा दिवस शुक्रवार 8 अक्टूबर को होगा और यह आयोजन की 25 वीं वर्षगांठ को चिह्नित करेगा। 2021 का उत्सव अंडे की शानदार बहुमुखी प्रतिभा और जीवन के हर चरण में लोगों को मिलने वाले लाभों के इर्द-गिर्द केंद्रित होगा। 2021 विश्व अंडा दिवस का विषय "सभी के लिए अंडे: प्रकृति का संपूर्ण पैकेज" है।
• विश्व अंडा दिवस की स्थापना 1996 में वियना में की गई थी, जब प्रत्येक वर्ष अक्टूबर में दूसरे शुक्रवार को अंडे की शक्ति का जश्न मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया था। यह दिन अंडे के लाभों और मानव पोषण में उनके महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने में मदद करता है।

भारतीय वायु सेना दिवस 2021: 08 अक्टूबर

• भारतीय वायु सेना दिवस प्रतिवर्ष 8 अक्टूबर को भारतीय वायु सेना द्वारा मनाया जाता है। इस वर्ष भारतीय वायु सेना ने अपनी 89वीं वर्षगांठ मनाई। भारतीय वायु सेना को आधिकारिक तौर पर 8 अक्टूबर 1932 को ब्रिटिश साम्राज्य द्वारा रॉयल इंडियन एयर फोर्स के रूप में स्थापित किया गया था। 1950 में इसका नाम बदलकर भारतीय वायु सेना कर दिया गया।
• IAF की स्थापना 8 अक्टूबर, 1932 को हुई थी और इस बल ने कई महत्वपूर्ण युद्धों और ऐतिहासिक अभियानों में भाग लिया है। यह आधिकारिक तौर पर ब्रिटिश साम्राज्य की सहायक वायु सेना के रूप में स्थापित किया गया था जिसने द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के दौरान भारत की विमानन सेवा को उपसर्ग रॉयल के साथ सम्मानित किया था। 1947 में यूनाइटेड किंगडम से भारत को स्वतंत्रता मिलने के बाद, रॉयल इंडियन एयर फ़ोर्स नाम रखा गया और डोमिनियन ऑफ़ इंडिया के नाम पर रखा गया। 1950 में सरकार के एक गणराज्य में संक्रमण के साथ, उपसर्ग रॉयल को हटा दिया गया था।

विश्व निवेशक सप्ताह: (04-10) अक्टूबर 2021

• इंटरनेशनल ऑर्गनाइजेशन ऑफ सिक्योरिटीज कमीशन (IOSCO) 4 से 10 अक्टूबर 2021 तक अपना पांचवां वार्षिक विश्व निवेशक सप्ताह (WIW) शुरू करने की तैयारी कर रहा है। विश्व निवेशक सप्ताह (WIW) इसके महत्व के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए IOSCO द्वारा प्रवर्तित एक पहल है। निवेशक शिक्षा और संरक्षण और इन दो महत्वपूर्ण क्षेत्रों में प्रतिभूति नियामकों की विभिन्न पहलों को उजागर करना।
• 2021 में IOSCO WIW अभियान के मुख्य संदेश दो विषयों पर आधारित होंगे: 1) स्थायी वित्त और 2) धोखाधड़ी और घोटाले की रोकथाम। IOSCO WIW अभियान क्षेत्राधिकार, हितधारकों और प्रमुख अंतरराष्ट्रीय संगठनों की बढ़ती संख्या के बीच समर्थन प्राप्त करना जारी रखता है।

नोबेल साहित्य पुरस्कार 2021: अब्दुलराजाक गुरनाह बने विजेता

• साहित्य का नोबेल पुरस्कार 2021 में ज़ांज़ीबार में पैदा हुए और इंग्लैंड में सक्रिय अब्दुलरज़क गुरनाह को "उपनिवेशवाद के प्रभावों और संस्कृतियों और महाद्वीपों के बीच की खाड़ी में शरणार्थी के भाग्य के लिए उनकी अडिग और करुणामय पैठ के लिए" प्रदान किया गया। साहित्य में नोबेल पुरस्कार स्वीडिश अकादमी, स्टॉकहोम, स्वीडन द्वारा प्रदान किया जाता है।
• तंजानिया के उपन्यासकार का जन्म 1948 में ज़ांज़ीबार में हुआ था और तब से वह यूके और नाइजीरिया में रहते हैं। वह अंग्रेजी में लिखते हैं, और उनका सबसे प्रसिद्ध उपन्यास पैराडाइज है, जिसे 1994 में बुकर पुरस्कार के लिए चुना गया था। गुरनाह वर्तमान में यूके में रहते हैं और केंट विश्वविद्यालय में अंग्रेजी साहित्य पढ़ाते हैं। कुछ समय पहले तक, वह केंट विश्वविद्यालय, कैंटरबरी में अंग्रेजी और उत्तर औपनिवेशिक साहित्य के प्रोफेसर थे और दस उपन्यास और कई लघु कथाएँ प्रकाशित कर चुके हैं।

आरबीआई मौद्रिक नीति: दरों में कोई बदलाव नही

• भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (आरबीआई) की मौद्रिक नीति समिति (एमपीसी) ने आरबीआई गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास की अध्यक्षता में वित्तीय वर्ष 2021-22 की चौथी द्विमासिक नीति बैठक में रेपो दर को अपरिवर्तित रखा है।
• मौद्रिक नीति समिति ने रेपो दर को 4 प्रतिशत पर अपरिवर्तित रखा। रिवर्स रेपो रेट 3.35 फीसदी बना रहेगा। बैठक अक्टूबर (6 से 8) के बीच हुई थी। शेष दिसंबर (6 से 8) और फरवरी (7 से 9, 2022) में होंगे।

भारतपे ने ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ सेगमेंट में प्रवेश किया

• फिनटेक कंपनी भारतपे ने 'पोस्टपे' के लॉन्च के साथ 'बाय नाउ पे लेटर' (बीएनपीएल) श्रेणी में प्रवेश की घोषणा की। नया प्लेटफॉर्म ग्राहकों को अभी खरीदारी करने और बाद में कहीं से भी भुगतान करने का क्रेडिट प्रदान करता है । पोस्टपे प्लेटफॉर्म का उपयोग करने वाले ग्राहक प्ले स्टोर से ऐप डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं और 10 लाख रुपये तक की ब्याज मुक्त क्रेडिट सीमा का लाभ उठा सकते हैं। कंपनी ने कहा कि पोस्टपे केवल बड़ी टिकट खरीद तक ही सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि इसका उपयोग सूक्ष्म खरीद के लिए भी किया जा सकता है, जो इसे अपनी तरह का पहला बनाता है।
• भारतपे ने कहा कि इसका लक्ष्य अपने ऋण देने वाले भागीदारों के लिए पहले 12 महीनों में पोस्टपे पर $ 300 मिलियन की ऋण पुस्तिका की सुविधा प्रदान करना है। फिनटेक कंपनी ने कहा कि ग्राहक ऑफलाइन के साथ-साथ ऑनलाइन खरीदारी कर सकते हैं और ईएमआई के माध्यम से आसानी से भुगतान कर सकते हैं।
• एक ग्राहक को केवल पोस्टपे ऐप के माध्यम से क्यूआर कोड को स्कैन करना होता है और क्रेडिट का उपयोग करके भुगतान करना होता है। उपयोगकर्ता एक पोस्टपे कार्ड के माध्यम से भी भुगतान कर सकते हैं जिसे लाखों ऑफ़लाइन के साथ-साथ ई-कॉमर्स प्लेटफॉर्म पर स्वीकार किया जाएगा। कैशबैक और रिवॉर्ड भी ऑफर पर हैं।

NATIONAL

Make In India: Centre approves setting up of 7 mega textile parks with Rs 4,445 crore outlay

• The Centre has approved the setting up of seven new mega textile parks, or PM MITRA parks across the country in an effort to help furthering the growth of the textile sector in the economy and position India strongly on the Global textiles map. The Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel Parks (PM MITRA) will be based on the 5F vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister. The ‘5F’ Formula consists of Farm to fibre; fibre to factory; factory to fashion; fashion to foreign.
• These parks will be set up at Greenfield and Brownfield sites in different States by a Special Purpose Vehicle which will be owned by the State Government and Government of India in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Mode. The total outlay for the project has been set at Rs 4,445 crore for five years.

Shri Mansukh Mandaviya releases State of the World’s Children report of UNICEF

• Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has released UNICEF’s global flagship publication “The State of the World’s Children 2021; On My Mind: promoting, protecting and caring for children’s mental health in New Delhi. The report details the significant impact of C-19 pandemic on children’s mental health.
• This is very vital to address mental health as an important aspect for creating a healthy society. Mansukh noted that teachers are very important stakeholders for addressing mental health issues along with parents and family.
• UNICEF India Representative Dr Yasmin Ali Haque presented some key findings of the report.
• As per the report, around 14 per cent of 15 to 24-year-olds in India, or 1 in 7 of them, reported often feeling depressed or having little interest in doing things.

'India's First' E-fish Market App Launched In Assam

• Assam Minister for Fisheries, Environment and Forest and Excise, Parimal Suklabaidya launched an App Fishwaale, India’s first e-fish market. Table size fish such as bhangon, mrigal and rohu and freshwater and seawater frozen fish (icebox) will be available coupled with dry fish packets, dry fish raw, fish pickles and processed fish products.
• Developed by Aqua Blue Global Aquaculture Solutions Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with the fisheries department at a function held at Sri Madhabdev Bhawan auditorium, the minister called the app “a one-stop solution for aquaculture” that will help both the buyers and sellers. This platform will help the fish farming community get a reasonable price for their produce and lead to the elimination of middlemen.

Germany unveil logo for Euro 2024 at Berlin's Olympiastadion

• Germany has unveiled the logo for soccer’s 2024 European Championship during a ceremony with a light show in the stadium that will hold the final. The logo features an outline of the Henri Delaunay Cup — the bulbous tournament trophy — set on a coloured oval outline that resembles the Olympiastadion’s roof. It features colours from the flags of UEFA’s 55 member nations, set in 24 slices around the trophy to represent the 24 teams that will ultimately qualify for the tournament in Germany.
• Logos for each of the 10 host cities; Berlin, Cologne, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Munich and Stuttgart were also presented. The tournament is due to be played in June and July 2024 with the match schedule to be confirmed next year.

World Egg Day: 2021

• World Egg Day is celebrated worldwide on the ‘Second Friday of October’ month each year since 1996. This year’s World Egg Day will take place on Friday 8 October and will mark the 25th anniversary of the event. The 2021 celebration will centre around the brilliant versatility of the egg and its multitude of benefits to people at every stage of life. The theme for 2021 World Egg Day is “Eggs for all: Nature’s perfect package”.
• World Egg Day was established at Vienna 1996, when it was decided to celebrate the power of the egg on the second Friday in October each year. The day helps to raise awareness of the benefits of eggs and their importance in human nutrition.

Indian Air Force Day 2021: 08th  October

• Indian Air Force Day is celebrated every year by the Indian Air Force on the 8th of October. This year Indian Air Force celebrated its 89th anniversary. Indian Air Force was officially established on 8 October 1932 by the British Empire as the Royal Indian Air Force. The name was changed to Indian Air Force in 1950.
• The IAF was founded on October 8, 1932, and the force has participated in several crucial wars and landmark missions. It was officially established as an auxiliary air force of the British Empire which honoured India’s aviation service during World War II with the prefix Royal. After India gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1947, the name Royal Indian Air Force was kept and served in the name of Dominion of India. With the government’s transition to a Republic in 1950, the prefix Royal was removed.

World Investor Week: (04-10) October 2021

• The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) is preparing to launch its fifth annual World Investor Week (WIW) from 4 to 10 October 2021. The World Investor Week (WIW) is an initiative promoted by the IOSCO to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection and highlight the various initiatives of securities regulators in these two critical areas.
• The key messages of the IOSCO WIW campaign in 2021 will be based on two themes: 1) sustainable finance and 2) frauds and scams prevention. The IOSCO WIW campaign continues to gain support among a growing number of jurisdictions, stakeholders and major international organizations.

Nobel Literature Prize 2021: Abdulrazak Gurnah named winner

• The Nobel Prize in Literature 2021 was awarded to Abdulrazak Gurnah born in Zanzibar and active in England, “for his uncompromising and compassionate penetration of the effects of colonialism and the fate of the refugee in the gulf between cultures and continents.” The Nobel Prize in literature is awarded by the Swedish Academy, Stockholm, Sweden.
• The Tanzanian novelist was born in Zanzibar in 1948 and has since lived in the UK and Nigeria. He writes in English, and his most famous novel is Paradise, which was shortlisted for the Booker prize in 1994. Gurnah currently lives in the UK and taught English Literature at the University of Kent. Until recently, he was Professor of English and Postcolonial Literatures at the University of Kent, Canterbury and has published ten novels and a number of short stories.

RBI Monetary Policy: Status Quo on rates

• The Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) kept the repo rate unchanged in the fourth bi-monthly policy meet for the financial year 2021-22 headed by RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has maintained the status quo.
• The Monetary Policy Committee kept the repo rate unchanged at 4 per cent. The reverse repo rate will continue to be 3.35 per cent. The meeting was held between October (6 to 8). The remaining will take place in December (6 to 8) and February (7 to 9, 2022).

Bharatpe enters ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ segment

• Fintech company BharatPe, announced its entry into the ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ (BNPL) category with the launch of ‘postpe’. The new platform provides credit to customers to buy now, but pay later from anywhere. Customers using the postpe platform can download the app from Play Store and avail interest-free credit limit of up to Rs 10 lakh. The company said that postpe is not only limited to big-ticket purchases but can also be used for micro-purchases, making it the first of its kind.
• BharatPe stated that it aims to facilitate a loan book of $300 million on postpe in the first 12 months for its lending partners. The fintech company added that customers can shop across offline as well as online and repay easily through EMIs.
• All a customer has to do is scan the QR code through the postpe app and pay using credit. Users can also pay through a postpe card that will be accepted across millions of offline as well as e-commerce platforms. Cashbacks and rewards are also on offer.
