हिमाचल, बना 100% घरों को गैस कनेक्शन देने वाला देश का पहला राज्य

हिमाचल प्रदेश देश का पहला ऐसा राज्य बन गया है, जहां शत-प्रतिशत घरों में एलपीजी गैस कनेक्शन की सुविधा उपलब्ध है। राज्य के मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर ने शिमला में कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने अपने पिछले कार्यकाल के दौरान उज्ज्वला योजना की परिकल्पना की थी। इस योजना के तहत ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों की महिलाओं को निशुल्क गैस कनेक्शन उपलब्ध करवाए गए, जिससे प्रदेश के 1.36 लाख परिवार लाभान्वित हुए।

सीएम ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री के आह्वान पर देश के करोड़ों लोगों ने स्वेच्छा से अपनी एलपीजी सब्सिडी छोड़ी, जिससे गरीब परिवारों को लाभ मिला। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश के निर्धन लोगों को साफ ईंधन मुहैया करवाने के उद्देश्य से सरकार ने हिमाचल गृहणी सुविधा योजना आरंभ करने का निर्णय लिया। इस योजना के अंतर्गत 2,76,243 परिवारों को निशुल्क गैस कनेक्शन प्रदान किए गए हैं। 

बैंकिंग और अर्थव्‍यवस्‍था

विश्व बैंक गंगा को स्वच्छ और निर्मल बनाने के लिए सरकार को देगा 400 मिलियन डॉलर का ऋण

विश्व बैंक ने ‘नमामि गंगे कार्यक्रम’ में जरुरी सहयोग बढ़ाने और गंगा नदी की कायाकल्प करने के लिए भारत सरकार के साथ 400 मिलियन डॉलर के ऋण समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इस ऋण समझौते का उद्देश्य गंगा को स्वच्छ और निर्मल नदी बनाना है। 400 मिलियन डॉलर की प्रतिबद्धता में 381 मिलियन डॉलर का ऋण और 19 मिलियन डॉलर तक की प्रस्तावित गारंटी शामिल हैं। इस नई परियोजना का उद्देश्य पावन गंगा नदी के प्रदूषण के स्तर को कम करना और नदी बेसिन के प्रबंधन को मजबूत करने की दिशा में काम करना है, जो लगभग 500 मिलियन से अधिक लोगों का घर है।

विश्व बैंक वर्तमान में राष्ट्रीय गंगा नदी बेसिन परियोजना के जरिए वर्ष 2011 से ही भारत सरकार के प्रयासों में सहयोग कर रहा है। इसके अलावा इसने नदी के प्रबंधन के लिए नोडल एजेंसी के रूप में राष्ट्रीय स्वच्छ गंगा मिशन (National Mission for Clean Ganga) की स्थापना करने में भी मदद की है। 

समझौते और सम्‍मेलन

भारत-इंडोनेशिया के कोस्टगार्ड ने समुद्री संबंधों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए एमओयू पर किए हस्ताक्षर

भारतीय तटरक्षक बल (ICG) और इंडोनेशियाई तटरक्षक बल Bakamla RI के बीच समुद्री संबंधों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए 'समुद्री सुरक्षा और बचाव' (Maritime Safety and Security) पर एक समझौता ज्ञापन (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर किए गए हैं। भारत और इंडोनेशिया ऐतिहासिक रूप से हिंद महासागर के माध्यम से जुड़े हुए हैं और इस क्षेत्र में दोनों देशों ने समुद्री, कानून प्रवर्तन, समुद्री खोज, बचाव कार्य और समुद्री प्रदूषण से निपटने के क्षेत्र में सहयोग और समन्‍वय बढ़ाने का संकल्प लिया है।

इस समझौते से सूचना विनिमय तंत्र को बढ़ाने के क्षेत्र में सहयोग और समन्‍वय बढ़ेगा। वास्तविक समय समुद्री क्षेत्र जागरूकता (real-time Maritime Domain Awareness) महत्वपूर्ण समुद्री वातावरण को बनाए रखने के लिए समुद्री डकैती, तस्करी, ड्रग तस्करी, अवैध प्रवासन और अन्य ऐसे समुद्री अपराधों की घटनाओं को नियंत्रित करने और निपटने का आधार होगा जो क्षेत्र में सुरक्षा और शांति स्थापित करेंगे। इस समझौते से समुद्र में खोज तथा बचाव कार्य सुगम बनाने के लिए सूचनाओं का आदान-प्रदान होने की सम्‍भावना है।

अंतरिक्ष नीति और अंतरिक्ष गतिविधियां विधेयक अंतिम चरण में: इसरो

भारतीय अंतरिक्ष अनुसंधान संगठन (इसरो) के अध्यक्ष के सिवन ने कहा कि अंतरिक्ष नीति और अंतरिक्ष गतिविधियां विधेयक अंतिम चरणों में है। कुछ दिन पहले ही सरकार ने अंतरिक्ष को निजी क्षेत्र के लिए खोलने का फैसला किया है।

पिछले कुछ समय से अंतरिक्ष के लिए एक विशेष नीति और अंतरिक्ष की गतिविधियों के लिए कानून पर काम चल रहा है। इसी बीच सरकार ने निजी क्षेत्र को अंतरिक्ष की गतिविधियों में भाग लेने की अनुमति दी है।

अंतरिक्ष विभाग के सचिव के रूप में भी जिम्मेदारी संभाल रहे सिवन से जब पूछा गया कि क्या सरकार अंतरिक्ष कानून ला रही है तो उन्होंने कहा, ‘हां, हमें निश्चित रूप से यह भी करना है।’

सिवन ने कहा, ‘दो पहलू हैं, एक अंतरिक्ष नीति और दूसरा अंतरिक्ष गतिविधियां विधेयक दोनों अंतिम चरणों में हैं।’

सरकार ने पिछल महीने रॉकेट और सैटेलाइट निर्माण जैसी अंतरिक्ष गतिविधियों में भाग लेने के लिए निजी क्षेत्र को अनुमति देकर भारत के अंतरिक्ष क्षेत्र में बड़े सुधार की घोषणा की थी।

जी आकाश बने भारत के 66 वें चेस ग्रैंडमास्टर

जी आकाश भारत के 66 वें शतरंज ग्रैंडमास्टर बन गए हैं। इसकी पुष्टि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय शतरंज महासंघ (International Chess Federation-FIDE) की वर्ष 2020 की परिषद की दूसरी बैठक में किया गया। आकाश ने साल 2012 में राष्ट्रीय खिताब जीता, जिसके बाद इंटरनेशनल मास्टर खिताब अपने नाम किया था। उनके साथ-साथ, गोवा के अमेया ऑडी ने भी इंटरनेशनल मास्टर खिताब अपने नाम किया है।

भारत ने मानवीय संकट और C-19 के लिए सूचना जोखिम सूचकांक 2020 में 31 वां स्थान प्राप्त किया

यूरोपीय आयोग (ईयू) के तहत संचालित, अनुसंधान केंद्र INFORM रिपोर्ट 2020 द्वारा जारी किए गए रिपोर्ट के अनुसानर प्रबंधन और C-19 के लिए साझा साक्ष्य" के अनुसार, भारत 5.4 के सूचित जोखिम के साथ 31 वें स्थान पर रहा है।

• इस रिपोर्ट में उन देशों की सूची दी गई है जो "सूचना जोखिम सूचकांक" पर आधारित हैं, जिन्हें सोमालिया द्वारा 8.9 के जोखिम वाले जोखिम के साथ शीर्ष पर रखा गया है।
• रिपोर्ट में 191 देशों का विश्लेषण किया गया है। यह रिपोर्ट संयुक्त राष्ट्र कार्यालय द्वारा मानवीय मामलों के समन्वय (UN-OCHA) के लिए बनाई गई है।

Himachal Pradesh becomes first state with LPG connections in all households

• Himachal Pradesh has become the first state where all the households have LPG gas connections. The announcement regarding this was made by HP Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
• The gas connections were provided for free to women in the state. Over 1.35 lakh families have been benefitted under Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana in the state.

World Bank approves $400 mn for rejuvenation of river Ganga

• The World Bank has signed a loan agreement of $400 million withGovernment of India to enhance support for the Namami Gange programme. The loan agreement aims to make the Ganga a clean and healthy river.
• The loan amount of $400 million comprises a loan of $381 million and a proposed Guarantee of up to $19 million.
• The new project will aim to stem the pollution levels in the iconic river and work towards strengthening the management of the river basin which is home to more than 500 million people.

India, Indonesia Coast Guards sign MoU to boost maritime relations

• The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) and Bakamla RI (Indonesian Coast Guard) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on ‘Maritime Safety and Security’ to boost maritime relations.
• India and Indonesia are historically connected through the Indian Ocean and it has been the resolve of both nations to ensure safe and secure sea passage for all seafarers in the region.

ISRO to release Space policy, Space Activities Bill soon

• Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chairman K Sivan announced recently that the space policy and space activities bill are in the final stages. A dedicated space policy was in making for some time now for legislation of space activities.
• The policy was fast-tracked after the government announced major reforms in the space sector, allowing the private sector to use ISRO’s services to carry out space activities such as building rockets and satellites.
• The space policy and the Space Activities Bill will help address legal issues in the space sector. A new navigation policy is also being proposed along with necessary changes in the Remote Sensing Data Policy and SATCOM policy.

Akash Become India’s 66th Grandmaster

• The 23 year-old G. Akash from Chennai, Tamil Nadu becomes the country’s 66th Grandmaster with rating of 2495.The title was confirmed at the recent meeting of International Chess Federation (FIDE) Council
• M Pranesh, from Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Ameya Audi, from Goa earned International Master Titles.

India Ranked 31st in INFORM Risk Index 2020 for Humanitarian crises & C-19s

• In accordance with the “INFORM Report 2020: Shared evidence for managing crises and C-19s” released by research centre INFORM, operating under European Commission (EU), India has ranked at 31st place with an inform risk of 5.4, means risk of humanitarian crises and C-19s.
• The report ranked the countries based on “INFORM Risk Index” which has been topped by Somalia with an inform risk of 8.9.
• The report has analyzed 191 countries. This report is produced by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN-OCHA).
