राष्ट्रीय 

 भारत ने एशियाई विकास बैंक से 6 बिलियन डॉलर के ऋण की मांग 

• भारत एशियाई विकास बैंक जैसे बहुपक्षीय संस्थानों से 6 बिलियन डॉलर के ऋण की मांग कर रहा है। 

• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्रमोदी की सरकार एशियन इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंक और एडीबी के साथ बातचीत कर रही है विवरण को अभी अंतिम रूप नहीं दिया गया है। 

• भारत को चीन के बाद दुनिया के सबसे अधिक आबादी वाले देश में अधिक लोगों को संक्रमित करने से वायरस के लिए परीक्षण को तेजी से बढ़ाने की आवश्यकता है। विश्व बैंक से आय का उपयोग परीक्षण किट और वेंटिलेटर प्राप्त करने के लिए किया जाएगा, अस्पताल के बेड को गहन देखभाल इकाई बेड में बदलने के साथ-साथ स्वास्थ्य देखभाल श्रमिकों के लिए व्यक्तिगत सुरक्षा उपकरण खरीदने के लिए उपयोग किया जाएगा।

 बैंकिंग और अर्थव्यवस्था

 इंडियन ओवरसीज बैंक में भी जमा कर सकते हैं पीएम केयर्स फंड में दान की गई राशि 

इंडियन ओवरसीज बैंक (आईओबी) के अनुसार, सरकार ने उसे पीएम केयर्स फंड में दान की गई राशि को एकत्र करने के लिए नामांकित किया गया है। यानी अब कोई भी व्यक्ति इंडियन ओवरसीज बैंक के जरिए पीएम केयर्स फंड में दान की राशि जमा करा सकता है। इसके लिए बैंक में एक बचत खाता खोला गया है। 

इन माध्यमों से जमा कर सकते हैं दान राशि 

आईओबी की ओर से जारी बयान में कहा गया है कि पीएम केयर्स फंड में दान देने के इच्छुक लोग आरटीजीएस, एनईएफटी, आईएमपीएस, चेक और डिमांड ड्राफ्ट के जरिए राशि जमा कर सकते हैं। इसके अलावा इलेक्ट्रॉनिक क्लीयरिंग सिस्टम (ईसीएस) के जरिए भी इंडियन ओवरसीज बैंक के बचत खाते में दान की राशि जमा की जा सकती है। पीएम केयर्स फंड में किसी भी तरीके से जमा की जाने वाली राशि इनकम टैक्स एक्ट के सेक्शन 80जी के तहत 100 फीसदी करमुक्त होगी।

पेटा ने नवीन पटनायक को हीरो टू एनिमल्स अवार्ड’ दिया 

ओड़िशा के मुख्यमंत्री नवीन पटनायक को पशु अधिकार संस्था पेटा इंडिया ने महामारी को लेकर चल रहे लॉकडाउन के दौरान राज्य में सामुदायिक पशुओं को खिलाने के लिए धन आवंटित करने के लिए एक पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया है। उल्लेखनीय है कि राज्य सरकार ने पांच नगर निगमों और सभी 48 नगर पालिकाओं में आवारा पशुओं को खिलाने के लिए 54 लाख रुपये मंजूर किए है। लॉकडाउन के दौरान पशुओं को भोजन मिलने में मुश्किलें हो रही हैं। उनके प्रयासों का सम्मान करते हुए, पीपुल फॉर द एथिकल ट्रीटमेंट ऑफ एनिमल्स (पेटा) इंडिया ने पटनायक के लिए ‘हीरो टू एनिमल्स अवार्ड’ की घोषणा की। पुरस्कार स्वरूप उन्हें एक प्रमाण पत्र और प्रशस्ति पत्र दिया गया। 

खेल 

वर्ल्ड गेम्स 2021 के आयोजक ने टोक्यो ओलंपिक खेलों को स्थगित किया- 

• इंटरनेशनल वर्ल्ड गेम्स एसोसिएशन (IWGA) - वर्ल्ड गेम्स 2021 के आयोजक ने टोक्यो ओलंपिक खेलों के साथ टकराव से बचने के लिए मेगा स्पोर्ट्स इवेंट को लगभग एक साल तक स्थगित करने का फैसला किया है। 

• विश्व खेलों के 11 वें संस्करण को, जो मूल रूप से 15-25 जुलाई 2021 से होने की योजना बनाई गई थी, को अब एक वर्ष के लिए स्थगित कर दिया गया है, और यह 7 से 17 जुलाई 2022 तक आयोजित किया जाएगा। 

• वर्ल्ड गेम्स 2021 के 11 वें संस्करण की मेजबानी अमेरिका के बर्मिंघम द्वारा की जाएगी।

National 

India seeks $6 billion of loans from ADB, AIIB to fight virus pandemic 

• India is seeking as much as $6 billion of loans from multilateral institutions such as the Asian Development Bank to bolster its efforts to fight the virus outbreak. 

• The World Bank already committed $1 billion. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is in talks with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank and ADB, the people said, asking not to be identified because the details haven’t been finalized. 

• India needs to rapidly scale up testing for the virus to head off the disease from infecting more people in the world’s most populated nation after China. Proceeds including from the World Bank will be used to acquire testing kits and ventilators, turning hospital beds into intensive care unit beds as well as for buying personal protective equipment for health care workers.

 After SBI, Govt nominates IOB for collecting donations for PM Cares Fund 

• Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), has been nominated by the government for the collection of funds of PM-Cares Fund. Till now only State Bank of India was the nominated bank for the same. 

• PM Cares stands for Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-Cares Fund). 

• The contributions can be made by ECS, RTGS, NEFT, IMPS, cheques and demand drafts drawn in favour of PM-Cares Fund.

Arogya Sanjeevani Policy Cigna launched with IRDAI guidelines 

• Manipal Cigna Health Insurance company has announced the launch of its Arogya Sanjeevani Policy, ManipalCigna. This standard health cover policy in line with IRDAI from one of the 29 insurers who have received the go-ahead to launch such policies in the industry. 

• Every general insurance company has to launch a standard health plan and has to have an official name Arogya Sanjeevani Policy (name of insurer) for easy comparison by the buyers. 

Awards 

Naveen Patnaik awarded with ‘Hero to Animals Award’ by PETA India 

• Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik has been conferred with ‘Hero to Animals Award’ by animal rights body PETA India. 

• He has been awarded by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for allocating funds to feed community animals in Odisha during the lockdown over the novel virus pandemic. 

Sports 

World Games 2021 Postponed to avoid Clash with Tokyo Olympics 

• The International World Games Association (IWGA) - the organizer of the World Games 2021 have decided to postpone the mega sporting event by nearly an year to avoid a clash with Tokyo Olympic Games. 

• The 11th Edition of the World Games which had originally been planned to take place from 15–25 July 2021 have now be pushed by an year, and will be held from 7th to 17th July 2022. 

• The 11th Edition of the World Games 2021 will be hosted by Birmingham, United States.
