• अरबपति मुकेश अंबानी के स्वामित्व वाली रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड को यूनाइटेड स्टेट ऑयल के प्रमुख ऑक्सिडेंटल डिवीजन ऑक्सी लो कार्बन वेंचर्स (OLCV) से-कार्बन-न्यूट्रल ऑयल ’की दुनिया की पहली प्रेषण है। यह उपलब्धि 2035 तक शुद्ध शून्य कार्बन कंपनी बनने के अपने लक्ष्य को पूरा करने में तेल प्रमुख की मदद करेगी।
• द वेरी लार्ज क्रूड कैरियर (वीएलसीसी) सी पर्ल जिसमें कार्बन-न्यूट्रल ऑइल पर्मियन बेसिन से है, 28 जनवरी, 2021 को जामनगर में माल उतारा गया। यह ध्यान दिया जाना चाहिए कि रिलायंस दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा सिंगल-लोकेशन ऑयल रिफाइनिंग कॉम्प्लेक्स जामनगर में संचालित करता है। गुजरात में प्रति वर्ष 68.2 मिलियन टन की क्षमता के साथ।

 अमेज़ॅन के CEO के रूप में एंडी जेसी लेंगे जेफ बेजोस की जगह

• Amazon.com इंक के संस्थापक और मुख्य कार्यकारी अधिकारी, जेफ बेजोस ने कंपनी के सीईओ के पद से इस्तीफा देने की धोषणा की और 2021 के Q3, अर्थात् 01 जुलाई, 2021 से प्रभावी, कार्यकारी अध्यक्ष बनेंगे।
• एंडी जेसी, जो वर्तमान में अमेज़ॅन वेब सर्विसेज (AWS) के मुख्य कार्यकारी के रूप में सेवारत हैं, अमेज़ॅन के सीईओ के रूप में बेजोस की जगह लेंगे। बेजोस ने 27 साल पहले 5 जुलाई 1994 को इंटरनेट बुकसेलर के रूप में कंपनी शुरू की थी।

आयशा अजीज 25 साल में भारत की सबसे कम उम्र की महिला पायलट बनी

• एक 25 वर्षीय कश्मीरी महिला, आयशा अजीज, देश की सबसे कम उम्र की महिला पायलट बन गई है। वह 2011 में 15 वर्ष की आयु में लाइसेंस प्राप्त करने वाली सबसे कम उम्र की छात्रा पायलट थी। कश्मीर की 25 वर्षीय महिला जो देश की सबसे कम उम्र की महिला पायलट है, वह प्रेरणा का स्रोत है और कई कश्मीरी महिलाओं के लिए सशक्तीकरण का प्रतीक है।
• उन्‍होने रूस के सोकोल एयरबेस में MIG-29 जेट उड़ाने के लिए प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त किया। बाद में उन्होंने बॉम्बे फ्लाइंग क्लब (BFC) से विमानन में स्नातक किया और 2017 में एक वाणिज्यिक लाइसेंस प्राप्त किया। 

सरकार ने गोबरधन गतिविधियों की प्रगति की निगरानी के लिए लॉन्च किया एकीकृत वेब पोर्टल

• कृषि मंत्री नरेंद्र सिंह तोमर, पेट्रोलियम मंत्री धर्मेंद्र प्रधान, पशुपालन मंत्री गिरिराज सिंह, जल शक्ति मंत्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत और जल शक्ति राज्य मंत्री रतन लाल कटारिया ने संयुक्त रूप से देश भर में गोबरधन गतिविधियों की प्रगति की निगरानी के लिए एक संयुक्त वेब पोर्टल लॉन्च किया।
• गोबर्धन का उद्देश्य गांव की स्वच्छता को सकारात्मक रूप से प्रभावित करना और मवेशियों और जैविक कचरे से धन और ऊर्जा उत्पन्न करना है।
• यह खेतों में गोबर और ठोस कचरे को उपयोगी खाद, बायोगैस और जैव-सीएनजी के प्रबंधन और परिवर्तित करने पर केंद्रित है।
• यह किसानों और पशुपालकों की आय में वृद्धि करते हुए गांव को साफ रखने में भी मदद करेगा।
• यह देश के लिए बेहद फायदेमंद होगा क्योंकि भारत दुनिया में सबसे अधिक मवेशी आबादी (लगभग 300 मिलियन की संख्या) का घर है जो लगभग 3 मिलियन टन गोबर का उत्पादन करता है।
• यह किसानों को गोबर और अन्य कचरे को न केवल अपशिष्ट के रूप में बल्कि आय के स्रोत के रूप में विचार करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करेगा।
• यह ग्रामीण लोगों को गाँवों को स्वच्छ और साफ-सुथरा रखने, पशुधन के स्वास्थ्य में सुधार और खेत की पैदावार बढ़ाने से कई लाभ प्रदान करेगा।

 पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री  ने 'हर घर पानी, हर घर सफाई' मिशन की शुरुआत की

• पंजाब के मुख्यमंत्री कैप्टन अमरिंदर सिंह ने सभी ग्रामीण घरों में 100 प्रतिशत पीने योग्य पाइप्ड जलापूर्ति के लक्ष्य को पूरा करने के सरकार के अभियान के हिस्से के रूप में 'हर घर पानी, हर घर सफाई' मिशन की शुरुआत की है। इस योजना को विश्व बैंक, जल जीवन मिशन, भारत सरकार, नाबार्ड और राज्य बजट द्वारा वित्त पोषित किया जा रहा है।
• इस योजना से अमृतसर, तरनतारन और गुरदासपुर जिलों के 155 गांवों के 1.6 लाख से अधिक निवासियों को पीने के पानी के लिए भूजल की आपूर्ति करने में मदद करने के अलावा आर्सेनिक प्रभावित बस्तियों की समस्या का समाधान करने में मदद मिलेगी।
• मुख्यमंत्री ने मोगा जिले के 85 गांवों को कवर करते हुए 172 गांवों, 121 आर्सेनिक और आयरन रिमूवल प्लांटों के लिए 144 नई जलापूर्ति योजनाओं को शामिल करते हुए एक मेगा सर्फेस वाटर सप्लाई योजना का उद्घाटन किया।

 बेंगलुरु में एयरो इंडिया 2021 का शुभारम्भ

• एयरो इंडिया 2021 कार्यक्रम, देश का प्रमुख एयरोस्पेस और रक्षा प्रदर्शनी, बेंगलुरु के एयर फोर्स स्टेशन येलहंका में शुरू हुआ। दुनिया के पहले हाइब्रिड एयरो और डिफेंस शो के रूप में प्रसारित अंतर्राष्ट्रीय कार्यक्रम के 13 वें संस्करण में भारतीय वायु सेना (IAF), सेना, नौसेना, हिंदुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स (HAL) के कई विमान और कोस्ट गार्ड देखेंगे।
• तीन दिवसीय कार्यक्रम आत्मनिर्भर भारत और मेक इन इंडिया अभियानों के बीच भारत की स्वदेशी रक्षा क्षेत्र की क्षमताओं पर ध्यान केंद्रित करेगा।
• इस 13 वें संस्करण में 601 प्रदर्शकों के साथ भौतिक और वर्चुअल प्रदर्शनी दोनों का संयोजन देखा जाएगा, जिसमें भारत के 523 और 14 देशों के 78 शामिल हैं।
• हिंदुस्तान एयरोनॉटिक्स लिमिटेड अपनी आत्मनिर्भर फॉर्मेशन फ्लाइट का प्रदर्शन करेगा।

 भारत के पहले एम्प्युटी क्लिनिक का चंडीगढ़ में शुभारम्भ

• भारत में अपनी तरह का पहला 'एम्प्युटी क्लिनिक', चंडीगढ़ के एक प्रमुख चिकित्सा और शोध संस्थान, पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल एजुकेशन एंड रिसर्च (PGIMER) द्वारा लॉन्च किया गया है। इस पहल का मूल उद्देश्य समाज में एक सामान्य कार्यात्मक मानव के रूप में एक एम्प्युटी लाना है। यह पहल समाज में पुनर्वास के लिए उन्हें पथ के लिए मार्गदर्शन करने के लिए एम्प्युटी को उचित प्रबंधन प्रदान करने का प्रयास करेगी और रोगियों को उनके उपचार और रिकवरी के दौरान परामर्श और चिकित्सा सुविधाओं का समर्थन करेगी।
• चंडीगढ़ में 'PGI एम्प्युटी क्लिनिक’ को महत्वपूर्ण समन्वय के साथ एक छत के नीचे सेवाएं प्रदान करके विच्छेदन रोगी देखभाल में सुधार करने के उद्देश्य से स्थापित किया गया है। क्लिनिक अपने रोगियों को सामाजिक, मानसिक और शारीरिक सहायता प्रदान करेगा।

 बेंगलुरु में चीफ ऑफ एयर स्टाफ (CAS) कॉन्क्लेव का आयोजन

• रक्षा मंत्री, राजनाथ सिंह ने कर्नाटक के बेंगलुरु में वायु सेना स्टेशन येलहंका में 'चीफ ऑफ एयर स्टाफ (CAS) कॉन्क्लेव’ का उद्घाटन किया। दो दिवसीय सम्मेलन का आयोजन भारतीय वायु सेना द्वारा 3 से 04 फरवरी 2021 तक हाइब्रिड फॉर्म में किया गया है जिसमें डिजिटल मीडिया का व्यापक उपयोग किया गया है।
• लगभग 75 देशों के वायु सेना प्रमुख एयरोस्पेस पॉवर रणनीति और तकनीकी विकास से संबंधित मौजूदा मुद्दों पर अपने विचारों का आदान-प्रदान करने के लिए एक मंच पर एक साथ आएंगे।
• कॉन्क्लेव भारत के रक्षा सहयोग का एक आदर्श उदाहरण है, जो अन्य देशों के साथ एक राजनयिक साधन के रूप में काम कर रहा है, जो वैश्विक आधार पर मैत्री, आपसी विश्वास और क्षमताओं के पुलों के निर्माण का अवसर देता है। रक्षा सहयोग में पारदर्शिता को बढ़ावा देना और सैन्य उड्डयन में आम हितों के निर्माण क्षेत्र CAS कॉन्क्लेव के फोकस क्षेत्र होंगे।

अशोक डिंडा ने लिया क्रिकेट से संन्यास

• तेज गेंदबाज अशोक डिंडा ने क्रिकेट के सभी प्रारूपों से संन्यास लेने की घोषणा की है। 36 वर्षीय दाएं हाथ के तेज गेंदबाज ने 2005 में बंगाल के लिए अपना फर्स्ट क्लास डेब्यू किया और 15 साल तक बंगाल क्रिकेट में खेले।
• उन्होंने 2009 में श्रीलंका के खिलाफ एक T20I में अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट में डेब्यू किया, इसके बाद 2010 में जिम्बाब्वे में अपना वनडे डेब्यू किया। उन्होंने भारत के लिए 13 वनडे और 9 T20I मैच खेले। उन्होंने बंगाल के लिए 116 फर्स्ट क्लास मैच खेले, जिसमें उन्होंने 28.28 की औसत से 420 विकेट लिए।

 नियुक्ति एवं इस्‍तीफे

केंद्र ने सीबीआई के अंतरिम निदेशक के रूप में प्रवीण सिन्हा की नियुक्ति की

• कार्मिक मंत्रालय के तहत कार्मिक और प्रशिक्षण विभाग ने प्रवीण सिन्हा को 03 फरवरी 2021 को तत्काल प्रभाव से केंद्रीय जांच ब्यूरो (CBI) के अंतरिम निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्त किया है। उन्हें प्रमुख आर के शुक्ला के स्थान पर नियुक्त किया गया है, जिसका कार्यकाल 03 फरवरी, 2021 को समाप्त हुआ।
• 1988 बैच की गुजरात कैडर की भारतीय पुलिस सेवा (IPS) अधिकारी सिन्हा, वर्तमान में भारत की प्रमुख जांच एजेंसी CBI में एक अतिरिक्त निदेशक हैं। सिन्हा नए निदेशक सीबीआई की नियुक्ति तक या अगले आदेशों तक, जो भी पहले हो, तक निदेशक सीबीआई के कर्तव्यों की देखभाल करेगा।

PHDCCI रिपोर्ट: 2021 में दूसरी सबसे अधिक लचीली अर्थव्यवस्था के रूप में उभरा भारत

• 2021 में, उद्योग निकाय, PHD चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स एंड इंडस्ट्री (PHDCCI) द्वारा जारी इंटरनेशनल इकनोमिक रेसिलिएंस (IER) रैंक के अनुसार, भारत, दूसरी सबसे अधिक लचीली अर्थव्यवस्था के रूप में उभरेगा। शीर्ष -10 अग्रणी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में रैंकिंग में जर्मनी सबसे ऊपर है। सूची में दक्षिण कोरिया तीसरे स्थान पर है।
• इसके अलावा, भारत की वास्तविक जीडीपी वृद्धि दर वर्ष 2021 में दुनिया की शीर्ष -10 अग्रणी अर्थव्यवस्थाओं में सबसे अधिक 11.5% होने का अनुमान है। यह COVID-19 महामारी के कारण होने वाली वैश्विक आर्थिक उथल-पुथल के लिए भारत के मजबूत "आर्थिक पुनरुत्थान" को दर्शाता है।

Reliance sources world’s first ‘carbon-neutral’ oil from United States

• Billionaire Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Industries Ltd has received the world’s first consignment of ‘carbon-neutral oil’ from Oxy Low Carbon Ventures (OLCV), a division of United State oil major Occidental. This feat will further help the oil major to accomplish its target of becoming a net zero-carbon company by 2035.
• The Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) Sea Pearl containing the carbon-neutral oil from Permian basin, unloaded the cargo at Jamnagar on January 28, 2021. It must be noted that Reliance operates the world’s largest single-location oil refining complex at Jamnagar in Gujarat with a capacity of 68.2 million tonnes a year.
• This transaction is the first major petroleum shipment of Reliance, for which greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the entire crude lifecycle, including oil extraction, transport, storage, shipping, refining, subsequent use, and combustion, have been offset.

 Andy Jassy set to replace Jeff Bezos as Amazon CEO

• Amazon.com Inc founder and CEO, Jeff Bezos has announced that he would step down as CEO of the company and become Executive Chairman in Q3 of 2021, i.e. with effect from July 01, 2021.
• Andy Jassy, who is currently serving as the chief executive of Amazon Web Services (AWS), will replace Bezos as CEO of Amazon. Bezos started the company 27 years ago, on 5 July 1994, as an internet bookseller.

Ayesha Aziz becomes India’s Youngest Female Pilot at 25

• A 25-year-old Kashmiri woman, Ayesha Aziz, has become the youngest female pilot in the country. She became the youngest student pilot to get a license at the age of 15 in 2011. The 25 -year-old from Kashmir who is the youngest female pilot in the country acts is a source of inspiration and a beacon of empowerment for numerous Kashmiri women.
• In the year 2011, Aziz became the youngest student pilot to get a license at the age of 15 and underwent training to fly a MIG-29 jet at Russia’s Sokol airbase the following year. She later graduated in aviation from the Bombay Flying Club (BFC) and obtained a commercial license in 2017. 

GoI launches unified web portal for monitoring progress of GOBARDHAN activities

• Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Animal Husbandry Minister Giriraj Singh, Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and Minister of State for Jal Shakti Rattan Lal Kataria jointly launched a unified web portal for monitoring the progress of GOBARDHAN activities across the nation.
• Gobardhan aims to positively impact village cleanliness and generate wealth and energy from cattle and organic waste.
• It focuses on managing and converting cattle dung and solid waste in farms to useful compost, biogas and bio-CNG.
• It will also help in keeping the village clean while increasing the income of farmers and cattle herders.
• It will be hugely beneficial for the country as India is home to the highest cattle population in the world (around 300 million in number) which produces around 3 million tonnes of dung.
• It will encourage farmers to consider dung and other waste not just as waste but as a source of income.
• It will provide many benefits to rural people by keeping villages clean and sanitized, improving livestock health and increasing farm yields.

 Punjab CM launches ‘Har Ghar Pani, Har Ghar Safai’ mission

• Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has virtually launched the ‘Har Ghar Pani, Har Ghar Safai’ mission as part of the government’s campaign to accomplish the goal of 100 per cent potable piped water supply in all rural households. The scheme is being funded by the World Bank, Jal Jeevan Mission of GoI, NABARD, and State Budget.
• The scheme will benefit more than 1.6 lakh residents from 155 villages in Amritsar, Tarn Taran, and Gurdaspur districts by helping replace groundwater with surface water supply for drinking, besides resolving the problem of arsenic affected habitations.
• The Chief Minister also inaugurated one Mega Surface Water Supply Scheme covering 85 villages in the Moga district, 144 new water supply schemes for 172 villages, 121 Arsenic, and Iron removal plants.

 Aero India 2021 Begins in Bengaluru

• The Aero India 2021 event, country’s premier aerospace and defence exhibition, kick-started at Air Force Station Yelahanka in Bengaluru. The 13th edition of the international event touted as the world’s first-ever hybrid aero and defence show will see several aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Army, Navy, Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL), and the Coast Guard participating in the show.
• The three-day event will focus on India’s indigenous defence sector capabilities amid buzz around Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India campaigns.
• This 13th edition will see a combination of both physical and virtual exhibition with 601 exhibitors, including 523 from India and 78 from 14 foreign countries.
• Hindustan Aeronautics Limited would exhibit its Aatmanirbhar Formation Flight.

 India’s First Amputee Clinic Launched In Chandigarh

• The first of its kind ‘amputee clinic’ in India, has been launched by the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), a premier medical and research institution in Chandigarh. The basic intent of this initiative is to bring an Amputee as a near-normal functional human being in society. This initiative will attempt to provide appropriate management to amputees to guide them in their path to rehabilitation in society and will support patients with counselling and medical facilities during their treatment and recovery.
• ‘PGI Amputee Clinic’ in Chandigarh has been set up with the aim of improving amputation patient care by providing a collection of services under one roof with significant coordination. The clinic will provide social, mental and physical support to its patients.

 Chiefs of Air Staff (CAS) Conclave Organised at Bengaluru

• Raksha Mantri, Rajnath Singh has inaugurated the ‘Chiefs of Air Staff (CAS) Conclave’ at Air Force Station Yelahanka in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The two-day conclave has been organised by Indian Air Force, from 3 to 04 February 2021, in a Hybrid Form with extensive use of digital media.
• The Chiefs of Air Staff from about 75 countries would come together on a single platform to exchange their thoughts on current issues related to aerospace power strategy and technological developments.
• The Conclave is a perfect example of India’s Defence Cooperation with other countries working as a diplomatic instrument, giving an opportunity for building bridges of friendship, mutual trust and capacities on a global basis. Promoting transparency in defence cooperation and building areas of common interests in military aviation will be focus areas of the CAS Conclave.

Ashok Dinda announces retirement from all forms of cricket

• Fast bowler Ashok Dinda, has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 36-year-old right-handed pacer made his first-class debut for Bengal in 2005 and played for 15 years in Bengal cricket.
• He made his international debut in 2009, in a T20I against Sri Lanka, followed by making his ODI debut in Zimbabwe in 2010. He played 13 ODIs and 9 T20I matches for India. He played 116 first-class matches for Bengal, taking 420 wickets at a bowling average of 28.28.

Centre Appoints Praveen Sinha as interim Director of CBI

• Department of Personnel and Training, under Personnel Ministry, has appointed Praveen Sinha, as the interim director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), with immediate effect on 03 February 2021. He has been appointed in place of the incumbent chief RK Shukla, whose tenure came to an end on February 03, 2021.
• Sinha, a 1988-batch Gujarat cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, is currently an additional director at CBI, the premier investigating agency of India. Sinha shall look after the duties of Director CBI till the appointment of new director CBI, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

 BANKING AND ECONOMY

PHDCCI Report: India to emerge as second most resilient economy in 2021

• India will emerge as the second most resilient economy in 2021, as per the International Economic Resilience (IER) Rank, released by industry body, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI). The ranking has been topped by Germany, among the top-10 leading economies. South Korea is at the third position in the list.
• Apart from this, India’s real GDP growth rate is projected to be the highest in the year 2021 among the top-10 leading economies in the world, at 11.5%. It reflects India’s strong “economic resurgence” to the global economic turmoil caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
