2021 भारतीय संस्थाओं के लिए भारत-आईटीयू संयुक्त साइबरड्रिल

• संचार मंत्रालय के तहत कार्यरत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दूरसंचार संघ (ITU) और दूरसंचार विभाग ने एक संयुक्त साइबर ड्रिल 2021 का आयोजन किया। साइबर ड्रिल भारत के क्रिटिकल नेटवर्क इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर ऑपरेटरों के लिए आयोजित की गई थी। क्रिटिकल नेटवर्क इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर वे सिस्टम, संपत्ति और नेटवर्क हैं जो किसी देश की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए आवश्यक हैं।
• इसका उद्देश्य भारत की साइबर सुरक्षा तैयारी में सुधार करना है। साथ ही, इसका उद्देश्य देश की सुरक्षा और घटना प्रतिक्रिया क्षमता में सुधार करना है।
• साइबर ड्रिल के दौरान साइबर हमले और सूचना सुरक्षा की घटनाओं का अनुकरण किया गया। और प्रतिभागियों को ऐसी घटनाओं से बचाव और प्रतिक्रिया करने के लिए प्रशिक्षित किया गया था। इस प्रकार, ड्रिल ने एक संगठन की साइबर क्षमताओं का परीक्षण करने में मदद की है ।

 चक्रवात जवाद के उत्तर तटीय आंध्र प्रदेश तक पहुंचने की संभावना

• बंगाल की खाड़ी में कम दबाव का क्षेत्र तेज होकर चक्रवाती तूफान जवाद में बदल सकता है, जिसके उत्तरी आंध्र प्रदेश, दक्षिण ओडिशा के तटों और पश्चिम बंगाल के कुछ हिस्सों तक पहुंचने की संभावना है। एक बार विकसित होने वाले तूफान को जवाद (उच्चारण जोवद) कहा जाएगा, जैसा कि सऊदी अरब द्वारा नामित किया गया है। मई में यास और सितंबर में गुलाब के बाद, इस वर्ष पूर्वी तट की ओर बढ़ने वाला यह तीसरा चक्रवात होगा।
• चक्रवातों के नामों की एक घूर्णी सूची विश्व मौसम विज्ञान संगठन (WMO) द्वारा बनाए रखा जाता है, जिसमें प्रत्येक उष्णकटिबंधीय क्षेत्र के लिए विशिष्ट नाम होते हैं। यदि कोई चक्रवात विशेष रूप से घातक होता है तो उसके नाम का कभी भी उपयोग नहीं किया जाता है और उसे दूसरे नाम से बदल दिया जाता है। इस सूची में फिलहाल कुल 169 नाम हैं जिनका इस्तेमाल बारी-बारी से किया जाएगा।

गीता गोपीनाथ: मैसूर से आईएमएफ में नंबर 2 अधिकारी तक, शीर्ष भूमिका निभाने वाली पहली भारतीय

• अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष की मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री, गीता गोपीनाथ संस्थान के नंबर 2 अधिकारी के रूप में जेफ्री ओकामोटो से पदभार ग्रहण करने के लिए तैयार हैं। यह एक ऐतिहासिक पल होने जा रहा है जब अंतर्राष्ट्रीय मुद्रा कोष के पहले दो प्रमुख पदों पर महिलाएँ होंगी। आईएमएफ ने फंड की वरिष्ठ प्रबंधन टीम की भूमिकाओं और जिम्मेदारियों में कुछ बदलाव किए हैं। जिसमें उन्होंने पहली बार डिप्टी मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर का परिचय दिया और यह भारतीय मूल की अर्थशास्त्री गीता गोपीनाथ नाम की पहली महिला को गया।
• यह कदम एक आश्चर्य के रूप में आया है क्योंकि आईएमएफ की मुख्य अर्थशास्त्री के रूप में सेवा करने वाली पहली महिला गोपीनाथ ने अक्टूबर में कहा था कि उन्होंने तीन वर्ष की सार्वजनिक सेवा के बाद अपने कार्यकाल की सुविधा को बनाए रखने के लिए जनवरी में हार्वर्ड विश्वविद्यालय में फिर से शामिल होने की योजना बनाई है।

 सम्‍मेलन एवं समझौते

वॉलमार्ट ने एमएसएमई को प्रशिक्षित और समर्थन करने के लिए एमपी सरकार के साथ समझौता ज्ञापन की घोषणा की

• वॉलमार्ट और उसकी सहायक फ्लिपकार्ट ने मध्य प्रदेश में एमएसएमई के लिए क्षमता निर्माण का एक पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र बनाने के लिए सूक्ष्म, लघु और मध्यम उद्यम विभाग, मध्य प्रदेश सरकार के साथ एक समझौता ज्ञापन पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। इस समझौता ज्ञापन के तहत, वॉलमार्ट, फ्लिपकार्ट और एमएसएमई विभाग एमएसएमई को अपने व्यवसाय को डिजिटाइज़ करने और उन्हें अपने उत्पादों को ऑनलाइन रिटेल के माध्यम से बेचने में सक्षम बनाने में सहायता करेंगे।
• यह पहल नॉलेज पार्टनर स्वस्ति द्वारा दिए गए वॉलमार्ट वृद्धि सप्लायर डेवलपमेंट प्रोग्राम (वॉलमार्ट वृद्धि) के तहत आती है, जिसका उद्देश्य फ्लिपकार्ट जैसे ग्लोबल मार्केटप्लेस प्लेटफॉर्म पर वॉलमार्ट के आपूर्तिकर्ताओं के रूप में सफल होने के लिए लगभग 50000 भारतीय एमएसएमई को व्यावसायिक कौशल के साथ प्रशिक्षित करना है। इस कार्यक्रम के तहत वॉलमार्ट और फ्लिपकार्ट ने हरियाणा और तमिलनाडु सहित विभिन्न राज्यों के साथ साझेदारी की है।

प्रसिद्ध बांग्लादेश के प्रोफेसर रफीकुल इस्लाम का निधन

• प्रसिद्ध विद्वान और बांग्लादेश के राष्ट्रीय प्रोफेसर रफीकुल इस्लाम का निधन हो गया। प्रो. रफीकुल इस्लाम बांग्लादेश के राष्ट्रीय कवि काजी नजरूल इस्लाम के महानतम विद्वानों में से एक थे। उन्हें स्वाधीनता पदक और एकुशी पदक से सम्मानित किया गया, जो बांग्लादेश का सर्वोच्च नागरिक पुरस्कार है। वह बांग्ला अकादमी साहित्य पुरस्कार के प्राप्तकर्ता थे। उन्होंने करीब 30 विद्वानों की किताबें लिखी थीं। प्रो. रफीकुल इस्लाम वर्तमान में बांग्ला अकादमी के अध्यक्ष थे।

भारत और बांग्लादेश 6 दिसंबर को मैतीरी दिवस मनाएंगे

• भारत और बांग्लादेश ने 6 दिसंबर को मनाने का फैसला किया है, जिस दिन भारत ने औपचारिक रूप से बांग्लादेश को "मैत्री दिवस" (फ्रेंडशिप डे) के रूप में मान्यता दी थी। मार्च 2021 में बांग्लादेश के राष्ट्रीय दिवस में भाग लेने के लिए पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी की बांग्लादेश यात्रा के दौरान, 6 दिसंबर को मैत्री दिवस (फ्रेंडशिप डे) के रूप में मनाने का निर्णय लिया गया था। बांग्लादेश की आजादी से दस दिन पहले भारत ने 6 दिसंबर 1971 को बांग्लादेश को मान्यता दे दी थी। भारत बांग्लादेश के साथ द्विपक्षीय राजनयिक संबंध स्थापित करने वाले पहले देशों में से एक था।
• विदेश मंत्रालय की ओर से जारी संयुक्त बयान के मुताबिक, प्रधान मंत्री मोदी ने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि आधुनिक समय के महानतम नेताओं में से एक बंगबंधु शेख मुजीबुर रहमान को उनके साहस और बांग्लादेश के एक संप्रभु देश के रूप में उभरने में अमिट योगदान के लिए याद किया जाएगा।

 भारतीय नौसेना दिवस 2021: 04 दिसंबर

• भारत में, देश के लिए नौसेना बल की उपलब्धियों और भूमिका का जश्न मनाने के लिए प्रतिवर्ष 4 दिसंबर को राष्ट्रीय नौसेना दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है। भारतीय नौसेना दिवस 2021 की थीम 'स्वर्णिम विजय वर्ष' है, जो 1971 में हुए भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध में भारत की जीत के 50 वर्ष पूरे होने का प्रतीक है।
• भारतीय नौसेना भारत के राष्ट्रपति (कमांडर-इन-चीफ) के नेतृत्व में भारतीय सशस्त्र बलों की एक नौसेना शाखा है। 1971 में वापस, भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध के दौरान, 4 दिसंबर को पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट शुरू करने के लिए चुना गया था। 4 दिसंबर को, भारतीय नौसेना ने औपचारिक रूप से युद्ध में प्रवेश किया और कराची पर हमले किया था।

• हिमाचल प्रदेश पुलिस ने शिमला के ऐतिहासिक रिज ग्राउंड में 'प्रेसिडेंट कलर पुरस्कार (President's Colour Award)' समारोह आयोजित किया है। राज्यपाल ने इस अवसर पर राज्य पुलिस को 'प्रेसिडेंट कलर पुरस्कार' प्रदान किया। राज्य पुलिस की ओर से पुलिस महानिदेशक संजय कुंडू (Sanjay Kundu) ने पुरस्कार ग्रहण किया। मुख्य अतिथि राज्यपाल राजेंद्र विश्वनाथ अर्लेकर (Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar) थे, जबकि मुख्यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर (Jai Ram Thakur) भी विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में मौजूद थे। हिमाचल प्रदेश पुलिस यह सम्मान पाने वाली भारत की आठवीं राज्य पुलिस बल है।

• भारतीय किसान उर्वरक सहकारी लिमिटेड (इफको) को विश्‍व की शीर्ष 300 सहकारी समितियों में 'नंबर एक सहकारी' स्थान दिया गया है। रैंकिंग प्रति व्यक्ति सकल घरेलू उत्पाद (जीडीपी) पर कारोबार के अनुपात पर आधारित है। यह दर्शाता है कि इफको देश के सकल घरेलू उत्पाद और आर्थिक विकास में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान दे रहा है। 10वीं वार्षिक विश्व सहकारी मॉनिटर (WCM) रिपोर्ट का 2021 संस्करण, 2020 संस्करण से अपनी स्थिति को रोकते हुए।
• 2021 WCM रिपोर्ट इंटरनेशनल कोऑपरेटिव अलायंस (ICA) और यूरोपियन रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट ऑन कोऑपरेटिव एंड सोशल एंटरप्राइजेज द्वारा प्रकाशित की जाती है। WCM विश्‍व भर में सहकारी समितियों के बारे में मजबूत आर्थिक, संगठनात्मक और सामाजिक डेटा एकत्र करने के लिए डिज़ाइन की गई एक परियोजना है।

डीबीएस ने भारत के वित्त वर्ष 2023 के विकास अनुमान को 100 बीपीएस से 7% तक संशोधित किया

• सिंगापुर स्थित डीबीएस बैंक की आर्थिक अनुसंधान टीम ने भारत के वित्त वर्ष 2023 के विकास अनुमान को 6 प्रतिशत से बढ़ाकर 7 प्रतिशत सालाना (वर्ष-दर-वर्ष) (सीवाई 2022 6.5 प्रतिशत) कर दिया है। डीबीएस टीम ने आकलन किया कि वित्त वर्ष 2023 में, लाभ को फिर से खोलने, एहतियाती बचत और पूर्व-महामारी के स्तर पर क्षेत्रीय सामान्यीकरण से परे, कैपेक्स पीढ़ी उच्च स्तर पर विकास को बढ़ाने और बनाए रखने में अगला चालक होने की संभावना है।

2021 India-ITU joint CyberDrill for Indian entities

• International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and the Department of Telecommunications operating under the Ministry of Communications conducted a Joint Cyber Drill 2021. The cyber drill was conducted for the Critical Network Infrastructure operators of India. The Critical Network Infrastructure are the systems, assets and networks that are essential to ensure the security of a country.
• It aims to improve the cyber security readiness of India. Also, it aims to improve the protection and incident response capability of the country.
• During the cyber drill, the cyberattacks and information security incidents were simulated. And the participants were trained to defend and respond against such incidents. Thus, the drill helped to test the cyber capabilities of an organisation.

 Cyclone Jawad likely to reach north coastal Andhra Pradesh

• The low-pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into Cyclone Jawad which is likely to reach the north Andhra Pradesh, south Odisha coasts and Some parts of West Bengal. The storm, once developed, will be called Jawad (pronounced Jowad), as named by Saudi Arabia. After Yaas in May and Gulab in September, this will be the third cyclone headed towards the east coast this year.
• A rotational list of the names of cyclones is maintained by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), with the names specific for each tropical zone. If a cyclone is especially deadly then its name is never used and is replaced by another name. The list has a total of 169 names at present which will be used on a rotational basis.

Gita Gopinath: From Mysuru to No. 2 Official at IMF, First Indian to Take up the Top Role

• International Monetary Fund Chief Economist, Gita Gopinath is set to take over from Geoffrey Okamoto as the institution’s No. 2 official. It is going to be a historic movement when International Monetary Fund has the female at its first two leading positions. The IMF has done some changes in the roles and responsibilities of the fund’s senior management team. In which they introduced deputy managing director for the first time and it is gone to the first female named Indian born economist Gita Gopinath.
• The move comes as a surprise because Gopinath, the first woman to serve as the IMF’s chief economist, had said in October she planned to rejoin Harvard University in January to retain her tenured facility post after three years of public service.

 SUMMIT'S & MOU's

Walmart announces MoU with MP government to train and support MSMEs

• Walmart and its subsidiary Flipkart have signed an MoU with the Department of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, Government of Madhya Pradesh to create an ecosystem of capacity building for MSMEs in Madhya Pradesh. Under this MoU, Walmart, Flipkart, and MSME Department will assist MSMEs to digitize their business and enable them to sell their products through online retail.
• This initiative comes under the Walmart Vriddhi Supplier Development Programme (Walmart Vriddhi), delivered by knowledge partner Swasti, which aims to train around 50000 Indian MSMEs with business skills to become successful as suppliers to Walmart, sellers on global marketplace platforms like Flipkart. Under this programme, Walmart and Flipkart have partnered with various states including Haryana and Tamil Nadu.

Renowned Bangladesh’s Professor Rafiqul Islam passes away

• Renowned scholar and national professor of Bangladesh Professor, Rafiqul Islam passed away. Prof. Rafiqul Islam was one of the greatest scholars on the national poet of Bangladesh Kazi Nazrul Islam. He was honoured with Swadhinta Padak and the Ekushey padak, which is the highest civilian award of Bangladesh. He was a recipient of the Bangla Academy Literary Award. He had written close to 30 scholarly books. Prof. Rafiqul Islam was currently the President of the Bangla Academy.

India & Bangladesh will celebrate Maitiri Diwas on 6 December

• India and Bangladesh have decided to celebrate December 6, the day on which India formally recognized Bangladesh, as “Maitri Diwas” (Friendship Day). During the visit of PM Narendra Modi to Bangladesh in March 2021 to attend the national day of Bangladesh, it was decided to commemorate 6 December as Maitri Diwas (Friendship Day). Ten days before the liberation of Bangladesh, India had recognised Bangladesh on 6 December 1971. India was one of the first countries to establish bilateral diplomatic ties with Bangladesh.
• According to the joint statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Prime Minister Modi highlighted that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, one of the greatest leaders of modern times, will be remembered for his courage and indelible contribution to Bangladesh’s emergence as a sovereign country.

 Indian Navy Day 2021: 04 December

• In India, December 4 is observed as the National Navy Day every year, to celebrate the achievements and role of the naval force to the country. The theme of Indian Navy Day 2021 is ‘Swarnim Vijay Varsh’ signifying 50 years of India’s victory in the Indo-Pakistan war that took place in 1971.
• Indian Navy is a naval branch of Indian armed forces Led by the President of India (commander-in-chief). Back in 1971, during the Indo-Pakistan war, December 4 was chosen to launch Operation Trident against Pakistan. On December 4, the Indian Navy formally entered the war and attacks on Karachi were constantly showering. As we all know because of the Indian Navy the whole country rejoiced with success. The victory over Pakistan made our country proud and respect the Indian Navy even more.

President's Colour Award ceremony organised by HP Police

• Himachal Pradesh Police has conducted the ‘President’s Colour Award’ ceremony at Shimla’s historic Ridge Ground. The Governor bestowed the ‘President’s Color Award’ to the State Police on this occasion. Director-General of Police Sanjay Kundu received the award on the behalf of state police. The Chief Guest was Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, while Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was also there as a special guest. Himachal Pradesh Police is India’s eighth state police force to receive this honour.
• ‘President Colour’ is a special achievement, demonstrating that the state police ranks highly in the service of humanity, as well as performance, professionalism, integrity, human rights protection, and other factors.

IFFCO ranks first among top 300 cooperatives in the world

• The Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has been ranked ‘number one Cooperative’ among the top 300 cooperatives in the world. The ranking is based on the ratio of turnover over the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. It signifies that IFFCO is contributing significantly to the GDP and economic growth of the nation. The 2021 edition of the 10th Annual World Cooperative Monitor (WCM) report, withholding its position from the 2020 edition.
• The 2021 WCM report is published by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises (Euricse). WCM is a project designed to collect robust economic, organizational, and social data about cooperatives worldwide.
• The report is the 10th annual one and explores the economic and social impact of the largest cooperatives and mutual worldwide, providing a ranking of the top 300, sector rankings, and an analysis of responses to the current global challenges: Covid and climate change.

DBS revises India's FY2023 growth forecast by 100 bps to 7%

• The Singapore-based DBS Bank’s economic research team has revised India’s FY23 growth forecast upwards to 7 per cent year-on-year (y-o-y) (CY2022 6.5 per cent) from 6 per cent earlier. The DBS team assessed that into FY23, beyond the thrust from reopening gains, precautionary savings and sectoral normalisation to pre-pandemic levels, Capex generation is likely to be the next driver in raising and maintaining growth on a higher plane.
