संयुक्त राष्ट्र सतत परिवहन सम्मेलन चीन में आयोजित किया जाएगा

• दूसरा संयुक्त राष्ट्र वैश्विक सतत परिवहन सम्मेलन 14-16 अक्टूबर 2021 को बीजिंग, चीन में आयोजित किया जाएगा। यह दुनिया भर में स्थायी परिवहन प्राप्त करने की दिशा में अवसरों, चुनौतियों और समाधानों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने का अवसर प्रदान करेगा।
• यह सम्मेलन 2016 में अश्गाबात, तुर्कमेनिस्तान में आयोजित पहले वैश्विक सतत परिवहन सम्मेलन का अनुपालन करेगा, और सतत विकास के लिए 2030 एजेंडा और जलवायु परिवर्तन पर पेरिस समझौते के उद्देश्यों को प्राप्त करने में मदद करने के लिए सतत परिवहन के लिए एक मार्ग इंगित करने की उम्मीद है।

चीन ने H10N3 बर्ड फ्लू के पहले मानव मामले की पुष्टि की

• चीन के पूर्वी प्रांत जिआंगसु में एक 41 वर्षीय व्यक्ति की चीन के राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य आयोग (NHC) के बर्ड फ्लू के H10N3 स्ट्रेन से संक्रमण के पहले मानव मामले के रूप में पुष्टि की गई है। झेनजियांग शहर के निवासी व्यक्ति को 28 अप्रैल को बुखार और अन्य लक्षणों के बाद अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। उन्हें H10N3 एवियन इन्फ्लूएंजा वायरस होने का पता चला था।
• H10N3 एक कम रोगजनक, या अपेक्षाकृत कम गंभीर है, पोल्ट्री में वायरस का तनाव और बड़े पैमाने पर इसके फैलने का जोखिम बहुत कम था।

माइक्रोसॉफ्ट द्वारा शुरू की गई पहली एशिया-प्रशांत साइबर सुरक्षा परिषद

• माइक्रोसॉफ्ट द्वारा पहली एशिया प्रशांत सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र साइबर सुरक्षा कार्यकारी परिषद (Asia Pacific Public Sector Cyber Security Executive Council) शुरू की गई है। इसमें ब्रुनेई, इंडोनेशिया, कोरिया, मलेशिया, फिलीपींस, सिंगापुर और थाईलैंड के नीति निर्माता और प्रभावशाली लोग शामिल हैं। परिषद का उद्देश्य साइबर सुरक्षा में सार्वजनिक-निजी भागीदारी में तेजी लाना और खतरे की खुफिया जानकारी साझा करना है।
• परिषद की बैठक वर्चुअली त्रैमासिक आधार पर होगी। परिषद के हिस्से के रूप में, सरकारी एजेंसियां और राज्य के नेता एक फोरम में शामिल होंगे। फोरम में माइक्रोसॉफ्ट और उसके साइबर सुरक्षा उद्योग सलाहकार शामिल हैं। APAC के मामले में मालवेयर और रैंसमवेयर हमलों के लिए मुठभेड़ दर औसत से अधिक है। APAC का अर्थ है एशिया-प्रशांत (A-sia PAC-ic)।

विप्रो ने पहली बार बाजार पूंजीकरण में 3 लाख करोड़ रुपये को छुआ

• विप्रो ने पहली बार बाजार पूंजीकरण में 3 ट्रिलियन रुपये को छुआ है, टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज और इंफोसिस के बाद मील का पत्थर हासिल करने वाली तीसरी भारतीय आईटी फर्म बन गई है। कंपनी ने जर्मन रिटेलर मेट्रो से अपनी अब तक की सबसे बड़ी और 7।1 बिलियन डॉलर की डील जीती है। भारत में कुल 13 सूचीबद्ध फर्म हैं, जिन्होंने 3 ट्रिलियन एम-कैप को पार कर लिया है। विप्रो अब 14वें स्थान पर है।
• रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज भारत की सबसे मूल्यवान कंपनी है, जिसका बाजार पूंजीकरण 14।05 ट्रिलियन रुपये है, इसके बाद टाटा कंसल्टेंसी सर्विसेज लिमिटेड और एचडीएफसी बैंक क्रमशः 11।58 ट्रिलियन रुपये और 8।33 ट्रिलियन रुपये के एम-कैप के साथ हैं।

अमूल के आरएस सोढ़ी इंटरनेशनल डेयरी फेडरेशन के बोर्ड के लिए चुने गए

• इंटरनेशनल डेयरी फेडरेशन (IDF) ने 1 जून को आयोजित आम सभा के दौरान सर्वसम्मति से भारत में अमूल ब्रांडेड उत्पाद बेचने वाले आरएस सोढ़ी, प्रबंध निदेशक, गुजरात कोऑपरेटिव मिल्क मार्केटिंग फेडरेशन लिमिटेड या GCMMF को अपने बोर्ड में चुना है। वह इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ रूरल मैनेजमेंट आनंद (IRMA) के पूर्व छात्र हैं। उन्होंने IRMA से स्नातकोत्तर पूरा करने के बाद वर्ष 1982 में GCMMF (अमूल) में प्रवेश लिया।
• IDF एक अंतरराष्ट्रीय गैर-सरकारी, गैर-लाभकारी संघ है और वैश्विक डेयरी क्षेत्र का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है। यह फेडरेशन सुनिश्चित करता है कि सही नीतियां, मानक, प्रथाएं और नियम विश्व स्तर पर डेयरी उत्पादों के उत्पादन की निगरानी करें।

आक्रामकता के शिकार मासूम बच्चों का अंतर्राष्ट्रीय दिवस 2021: 04 जून

• प्रतिवर्ष 4 जून को अंतर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर दुनिया भर में इंटरनेशनल डे ऑफ इनोसेंट चिल्ड्रेन विक्टिम्स ऑफ अग्रेशन मनाया जाता है। यह दिन बच्चों के अधिकारों की रक्षा के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र की प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाता है। यह दिन विश्व भर में शारीरिक, मानसिक और भावनात्मक शोषण का शिकार हुए बच्चों को होने वाले दर्द को स्वीकार करने के लिए मनाया जाता हैं। इस दिवस को मनाए जाने का मुख्य उद्देश्य पीड़ितों बच्चों द्वारा झेले जाने वाले दर्द और पीड़ा के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाना है।
• 19 अगस्त, 1982 को, फिलिस्तीन के आग्रह पर आपातकालीन सत्र के दौरान, संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा ने इजरायल की हिंसा से प्रभावित हुए निर्दोष फिलिस्तीनी और लेबनान के पीड़ितों बच्चों की याद में प्रतिवर्ष 4 जून को इंटरनेशनल डे ऑफ इनोसेंट चिल्ड्रेन विक्टिम्स ऑफ अग्रेशन मनाने का फैसला किया था।

मास मीडिया सहयोग पर एससीओ समझौते को भारत की पूर्वव्यापी मंजूरी मिली

• मंत्रिमंडल ने शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (SCO) के सभी सदस्य देशों के बीच मास मीडिया के क्षेत्र में सहयोग पर एक समझौते पर हस्ताक्षर करने और उसकी पुष्टि करने के लिए कार्योत्तर स्वीकृति प्रदान की। समझौते का उद्देश्य मास मीडिया के क्षेत्र में संघों के बीच समान और पारस्परिक रूप से लाभकारी सहयोग को बढ़ावा देना है। जून 2019 में हस्ताक्षरित समझौता, सदस्य राज्यों को मास मीडिया के क्षेत्र में सर्वोत्तम प्रथाओं और नए नवाचारों को साझा करने का अवसर प्रदान करेगा।
• समझौते में सहयोग के मुख्य क्षेत्र अपने राज्यों के लोगों के जीवन के बारे में ज्ञान को और गहरा करने के लिए मास मीडिया के माध्यम से सूचना के व्यापक और पारस्परिक वितरण के लिए अनुकूल परिस्थितियों का निर्माण करना है। उपलब्ध पेशेवर अनुभव का अध्ययन करने के साथ-साथ बैठकें, सेमिनार और सम्मेलन आयोजित करने के लिए समझौता राज्यों के पत्रकारों के पेशेवर संघों के बीच समान और पारस्परिक रूप से लाभप्रद सहयोग को बढ़ावा देगा।

शक्तिकांत दास ने आरबीआई की मौद्रिक नीति 2021 पर संबोधित किया

• गवर्नर शक्तिकांत दास की अध्यक्षता में भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) की छह सदस्यीय मौद्रिक नीति समिति ने 2 से 4 जून के बीच आयोजित अपनी जून 2021 की नीति समीक्षा बैठक में लगातार छठी बार प्रमुख उधार दरों को अपरिवर्तित रखने का निर्णय लिया है।
• RBI की मौद्रिक नीति समिति (MPC) ने C-19 के प्रभाव को कम करने के लिए आवश्यक होने तक एक उदार रुख जारी रखने का निर्णय लिया है। एमपीसी की अगली बैठक 4 अगस्त से 6 अगस्त 2021 तक निर्धारित है।

UN Sustainable Transport Conference will be held in China

• The second United Nations Global Sustainable Transport Conference will be held from 14-16 October 2021 in Beijing, China. It will provide an opportunity to focus attention on the opportunities, challenges and solutions towards achieving sustainable transport worldwide.
• The conference will follow up on the first Global Sustainable Transport Conference, held in 2016 in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, and is expected to indicate a way forward for sustainable transport to help achieve the objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement on climate change.

China confirmed first human case of H10N3 bird flu

• A 41-year-old man in China’s eastern province of Jiangsu has been confirmed as the first human case of infection with the H10N3 strain of bird flu, China’s National Health Commission (NHC). The man, a resident of the city of Zhenjiang, was hospitalised on April 28 after developing a fever and other symptoms. He was diagnosed as having the H10N3 avian influenza virus.
• H10N3 is a low pathogenic, or relatively less severe, the strain of the virus in poultry and the risk of it spreading on a large scale was very low.

First ever Asia-Pacific cybersecurity council launched by Microsoft

• The first Asia Pacific Public Sector Cyber Security Executive Council has been launched by Microsoft. It consists of policymakers and influencers from Brunei, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The council aims to accelerate public-private partnerships in cybersecurity and share threat intelligence.
• The council will meet virtually on a quarterly basis. As part of the council, government agencies and state leaders will join a forum. The forum includes Microsoft and its cybersecurity industry advisors. Encounter rates for malware and ransomware attacks are higher than average in the case of APAC. APAC means Asia-Pacic (A-sia PAC-ic).

NATIONAL

Wipro touched Rs 3 trillion in market capitalisation for the first time

• Wipro has touched Rs 3 trillion in market capitalisation for the first time, becoming the third Indian IT firm to achieve the milestone after Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys. The company won its largest deal ever from German retailer Metro and has seen deal wins of $7.1 billion. India has a total of 13 listed firms that have crossed the Rs 3 trillion m-cap. Wipro now ranks 14th.
• Reliance Industries is India’s most valued company with a market capitalisation of Rs.14.05 trillion, followed by Tata Consultancy Services Ltd and HDFC Bank with an m-cap of Rs.11.58 trillion and Rs.8.33 trillion, respectively.

Amul’s RS Sodhi elected to board of International Dairy Federation

• The International Dairy Federation (IDF) has unanimously elected R S Sodhi, managing director, Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Ltd or GCMMF that sells Amul branded products in India, to its board during the general assembly held on 1 June. He is alumni of the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). He joined GCMMF (Amul) in the year 1982 after completing his post-graduation from IRMA.
• IDF is an international non-governmental, non-profit association and represents the global dairy sector. The federation ensures that right policies, standards, practices and regulations monitor the production of dairy products globally.

International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression 2021: 04 June

• International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression is observed globally on 4th June every year. This day affirms the UN’s commitment to guard the rights of children. This day is to acknowledge the pain suffered by children throughout the planet who are the victims of physical, mental and emotional abuse. The main aim of celebrating today is to spread the notice about the pain and sufferings faced by the victims as children.
• On August 19, 1982, during an emergency session on the question of Palestine, the UN General Assembly, appalled at the amount of innocent Palestinian and Lebanese child victims of Israel’s acts of aggression, decided to commemorate 4 June of every year because of the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.

SCO Agreement On Mass Media Cooperation Gets India’s Retrospective Nod

• The Cabinet accorded an ex post facto approval for signing and ratifying an agreement on cooperation in the field of mass media between all member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The agreement aims to promote equal and mutually beneficial cooperation among associations in the field of mass media. The agreement, which was signed in June 2019, would provide an opportunity for the member states to share best practices and new innovations in the field of mass media.
• The main areas of cooperation in the agreement are the creation of favourable conditions for the wide and mutual distribution of information through mass media in order to further deepen the knowledge about the lives of the peoples of their states. The agreement shall promote equal and mutually beneficial cooperation among professional associations of journalists of the states in order to study the available professional experience, as well as to hold meetings, seminars and conferences.

BANKING AND ECONOMY

Shaktikanta Das Addressed On RBI Monetary Policy 2021

• The six-member monetary policy committee of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) headed by Governor Shaktikanta Das, has decided to keep key lending rates unchanged for the sixth consecutive time, in its June 2021 policy review meeting held between June 2 to 4, 2021.
• The RBI’s Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) has decided to continue with an accommodative stance until necessary to mitigate the impact of COVID-19. The next meeting of the MPC is scheduled from August 4 to 6, 2021.

Bharti AXA Life in bancassurance pact with Shivalik Small Finance Bank

• Private life insurer Bharti AXA Life Insurance has entered into a bancassurance partnership with Shivalik Small Finance Bank for the distribution of its life insurance products through the bank’s pan-India network of branches. This alliance is a part of the bank’s various measures towards financial inclusion and acceleration of wealth creation for its customers.
• Bharti AXA Life Insurance will offer its suite of life insurance products, including protection, health, savings and investment plans, to customers of Shivalik Small Finance Bank across its 31 branches and digital network across the country.
• This alliance will enable over 4.5 lakh customers of Shivalik Bank to access the range of products offered by the company to provide financial security.
