रमेश पोखरियाल 'निशंक’ ने लॉन्च किया NCTE वेब पोर्टल का “MyNEP2020” प्लेटफार्म

• केंद्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री, रमेश पोखरियाल 'निशंक' ने राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक शिक्षा परिषद (NCTE) वेब पोर्टल के लिए "MyNEP2020" प्लेटफार्म लॉन्च किया है, जो 1 अप्रैल से 15 मई 2021 तक चालू होगा। यह प्लेटफार्म राष्ट्रीय व्यावसायिक मानकों के शिक्षकों (NPST) और राष्ट्रीय मिशन फॉर मेंटरिंग प्रोग्राम सदस्यता (NMM) के विकास के लिए एक मसौदा तैयार करने के लिए हितधारकों से सुझाव / इनपुट / सदस्यता आमंत्रित करना चाहता है।
• डिजिटल परामर्श का यह अभ्यास शिक्षक की शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में स्थायी और सकारात्मक बदलाव के लिए शिक्षक नीति पर दस्तावेज तैयार करने में शिक्षकों, शिक्षा पेशेवरों, शिक्षाविदों और अन्य हितधारकों की भागीदारी की परिकल्पना करता है। NEP 2020 की उपरोक्त दो प्रमुख सिफारिशों पर दस्तावेजों को तैयार करने के लिए, NCTE व्यक्तियों / संगठनों के साथ निकट परामर्श का काम करेगा। विशेषज्ञ समिति परामर्श अवधि के दौरान एकत्र किए गए आदानों की व्यापक समीक्षा करेगी और अंत में सार्वजनिक समीक्षा के लिए प्रारूप तैयार करेगी।

 पश्चिम मध्य रेलवे बना पहला पूर्ण विद्युतीकृत भारतीय रेलवे ज़ोन

• राजस्थान राज्य में कोटा - चित्तौड़गढ़ रेलवे खंड (श्रीनगर - जलिंद्री) के CCRS निरीक्षण और कमीशनिंग के बाद, भारतीय रेलवे का पश्चिम मध्य रेलवे क्षेत्र पूरी तरह से विद्युतीकृत हो गया है। पश्चिम मध्य रेलवे देश का पहला पूरी तरह से विद्युतीकृत रेलवे क्षेत्र बन गया है। जोन के अंतर्गत आने वाली 3012 किमी की रेलवे लाइन विद्युतीकृत हो चुकी है।
• रेल मंत्री पीयूष गोयल के अनुसार, इस रेल खंड से गुजरने वाली ट्रेनों को अब तेज गति से चलाया जा सकता है। इस रेल खंड के विद्युतीकरण से ईंधन की बचत, यात्रा के समय में कमी, साथ ही पर्यावरण संरक्षण जैसे विभिन्न लाभ मिलेंगे।

अनियाँ मिथुन ने दक्षिण एशियाई वुशु दौरे पर जीता स्वर्ण पदक

• नटिका के अनियाँ मिथुन ने 31 मार्च को नेपाल में संपन्न हुई साउथ एशियन वुशू चैंपियनशिप में स्वर्ण पदक जीता। 28 वर्षीय युवा ने चैंपियनशिप में 70 किग्रा वर्ग में देश का प्रतिनिधित्व किया। वह भारतीय टीम में पहुंचने वाले दक्षिणी भारत के पहले वुशु खिलाड़ी हैं।
• मिथुन कराटे में एक ब्लैक बेल्ट है और वह वुशू के साथ-साथ किकबॉक्सिंग में भी राष्ट्रीय चैंपियन है। वास्तव में, 28 वर्षीय मिथुन वुशू में जब वह पांचवीं कक्षा में थे तब ही से शामिल किया गया था और तब से उन्होंने मुड़कर नहीं देखा। वह वर्तमान में अनुभवी कोच कुलदीप हांडू के साथ प्रशिक्षण ले रहे हैं जो अर्जुन पुरस्कार विजेता और भारतीय वुशू हेड कोच हैं।

DRDO लैब ने विकसित की लाइट वेट बुलेट प्रूफ जैकेट

• रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने DRDO और DMSRDE कानपुर को लाइटवेट बुलेट प्रूफ जैकेट (LightWeight Bullet Proof Jacket) विकसित करने के लिए बधाई दी है। आत्मनिर्भर भारत के सपने को साकार करने के लिए भारत को इस तरह के नवीन उत्पाद डिजाइन और विकास करने की जरूरत है।
• DMSRDE कानपुर, एक DRDO प्रयोगशाला ने लाइटवेट बुलेट प्रूफ जैकेट विकसित किया है, जिसका वजन 9 किलोग्राम है, जो भारतीय सेना की गुणात्मक आवश्यकताओं को पूरा करता है। फ्रंट हार्ड आर्मर पैनल जैकेट का TBRL चंडीगढ़ में सफलतापूर्वक परीक्षण किया गया और प्रासंगिक BIS मानकों को पूरा किया गया।

 नियुक्ति एवं इस्‍तीफे

आदिल ज़ैनुलभाई बने क्षमता निर्माण आयोग के अध्यक्ष

• भारतीय गुणवत्ता परिषद (QCI) के पूर्व अध्यक्ष आदिल ज़ैनुलभाई को क्षमता निर्माण आयोग (Capacity Building Commission) के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। सरकार ने सभी स्तरों पर सिविल सेवकों को प्रशिक्षित करने के लिए नेशनल प्रोग्राम फॉर सिविल सर्विसेज कैपेसिटी बिल्डिंग (NPCSCB), जिसे 'मिशन कर्मयोगी' भी कहा जाता है, के तहत आयोग को मंजूरी दी है।
• अनुमोदित क्षमता निर्माण आयोग योजनाओं के कार्यान्वयन की निगरानी और मूल्यांकन और साझा संसाधन बनाने के लिए सभी सरकारी कार्यालयों, प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों के साथ समन्वय और पर्यवेक्षण करेगा। आयोग में एक अध्यक्ष और दो सदस्य शामिल होंगे।

 मल्लिका श्रीनिवासन बनी PESB की चेयरपर्सन

• ट्रैक्टर एंड फार्म इक्विपमेंट (TAFE) लिमिटेड के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक, मल्लिका श्रीनिवासन को कार्मिक मंत्रालय द्वारा जारी एक आदेश से सार्वजनिक उद्यम चयन बोर्ड (PESB) के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। यह पहली बार है कि निजी क्षेत्र के विशेषज्ञ को PESB के अध्यक्ष के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है, जो केंद्रीय सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र उद्यम (CPSEs) में शीर्ष प्रबंधन पदों की नियुक्ति के लिए जिम्मेदार है।
• मंत्रिमंडल की नियुक्ति समिति ने श्रीनिवासन को PESB के अध्यक्ष के रूप में पदभार ग्रहण करने की तिथि से तीन वर्ष की अवधि या 65 वर्ष की आयु प्राप्त करने तक के लिए मंजूरी दे दी है।

 उर्जित पटेल बने ब्रिटानिया के अतिरिक्त निदेशक

• भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक के पूर्व गवर्नर डॉ. उर्जित पटेल को, 31 मार्च 2021 से प्रभावी, 5 साल के कार्यकाल के लिए ब्रिटानिया इंडस्ट्रीज के अतिरिक्त निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्त किया गया है। कंपनी ने घोषणा की है कि उसके निदेशक मंडल ने नियुक्ति को मंजूरी दे दी है।
• 31 मार्च 2021 को आयोजित बैठक में कंपनी के निदेशक मंडल ने डॉ. उर्जित पटेल की कंपनी के एक अतिरिक्त निदेशक के रूप में नियुक्ति को मंजूरी दे दी, उनकी यह नियुक्‍ति गैर-कार्यकारी और स्‍वतंत्र निदेशक श्रेणी में 31 मार्च, 2021 से 5 साल के कार्यकाल अर्थात् 30 मार्च 2026 तक, कंपनी के शेयरधारकों के अनुमोदन के अधीन प्रभावी होगी।

उप राष्ट्रपति ने किया डॉ. शैलेंद्र जोशी की पुस्तक 'सुपारीपालन’ का विमोचन

• उपराष्ट्रपति वेंकैया नायडू ने सेवानिवृत्त सिविल सेवक डॉ. शैलेंद्र जोशी की एक पुस्तक 'सुपारीपालन (Suparipalana)' का विमोचन किया है।
• 'सुपारीपालन' पुस्तक तेलंगाना के पूर्व मुख्य सचिव, श्री एस के जोशी द्वारा लिखित पुस्तक 'इको टी कॉलिंग: टुवर्ड्स पीपल-सेंट्रिक गवर्नेंस' का तेलुगु अनुवाद है। पुस्तक के अनुवादक श्री अन्नवरपु ब्रह्मैया हैं और प्रकाशक श्री मारुति हैं।

ICICI बैंक, फोनपे ने FASTags जारी करने के लिए की साझेदारी

• फ़ोनपे ऐप पर UPI का उपयोग करते हुए FASTag जारी करने के लिए ICICI बैंक और फ़ोनपे ने अपनी साझेदारी की घोषणा की। यह एकीकरण 280 मिलियन से अधिक पंजीकृत फ़ोनपे उपयोगकर्ताओं को ऐप पर ICICI बैंक FASTag को आसानी से ऑर्डर करने और ट्रैक करने की अनुमति देता है।
• PhonePe उपयोगकर्ता, जो किसी भी बैंक के ग्राहक हो सकते हैं, के पास पूरी तरह से डिजिटलीकृत अनुभव होगा क्योंकि उन्हें FASTag खरीदने के लिए भौतिक दुकानों या टोल स्थानों पर नहीं जाना पड़ता है। ICICI बैंक FASTag जारी करने के लिए PhonePe के साथ साझेदारी करने वाला पहला बैंक है। NPCI, IHMCL और NHAI टोल भुगतान को पूरी तरह से डिजिटल बनाने के लिए मिलकर काम कर रहे हैं।

Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ launched “MyNEP2020” platform of NCTE Web Portal

• Union Education Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has launched the “MyNEP2020” Platform of National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Web Portal which will be operational from April 1 to May 15, 2021. The platform seeks to invite suggestions/inputs/membership from the stakeholders for preparing a draft for the development of National Professional Standards for Teachers (NPST) and National Mission for Mentoring Program membership (NMM).
• This exercise of digital consultation envisages the participation of teachers, education professionals, academicians, and other stakeholders in preparing the documents on teacher policy for sustainable and positive change in the Teacher’s Education Sector. For preparing the documents on the above two major recommendations of NEP 2020, NCTE will work in close consultation with individuals/organizations. The expert committee will extensively review the inputs collected during the consultation period and will finally formulate the drafts for public review.

West Central Railway becomes first fully electrified Indian Railways zone

• Indian Railways’ West Central Railway zone gets fully electrified!, after CCRS Inspection and Commissioning of electrification of Kota – Chittaurgarh railway section (Srinagar – Jalindri) in the state of Rajasthan. West Central Railways has become the first fully electrified railway zone in the country. The zonal railway now boasts a 3012 Route Km electrified network.
• According to Railway Minister Piyush Goyal, trains passing through this railway section can now be operated at a faster speed. Electrification of this railway section will provide various benefits such as saving fuel, reduction in travel time, as well as environmental protection.

Aniyan Midhun wins gold at south Asian Wushu tourney

• Aniyan Midhun of Nattika won the gold at the South Asian Wushu Championship that concluded in Nepal on March 31. The 28-year-old youth represented the country in the 70-kg category in the championship. He is the first Wushu player from southern India to reach the Indian team.
• Midhun is a black belt in karate and he is also a national champion in wushu as well as kickboxing. In fact, the 28-year-old was introduced to wushu when he was in the fifth standard and hasn’t looked back since. He is currently training with veteran coach Kuldeep Handu who is an Arjuna Award winner and the Indian wushu head coach.

Light weight Bullet Proof Jacket developed by DRDO lab

• Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has congratulated DRDO and DMSRDE Kanpur for developing a LightWeight Bullet Proof Jacket. India needs more such innovative product design and development to realize the dream of Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
• DMSRDE Kanpur, a DRDO laboratory has developed a LightWeight Bullet Proof Jacket weighing 9 kg meeting the qualitative requirements of the Indian Army. The Front Hard Armour Panel jacket was tested successfully at TBRL Chandigarh and met relevant BIS standards.

Adil Zainulbhai appointed chairman of Capacity Building Commission

• Former Quality Council of India (QCI) chief Adil Zainulbhai has appointed chairman of Capacity Building Commission. The government has approved a commission under National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB), also known as ‘Mission Karmayogi’, to train civil servants at all levels.
• The approved Capacity Building Commission will coordinate with and supervise all the government offices, training institutes to monitor and evaluate the implementation of plans and create shared resources. The Commission will comprise of a Chairperson and two Members.

 Mallika Srinivasan appointed chairperson of PESB

• Chairman and Managing Director of Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) Limited, Mallika Srinivasan has been appointed as the chairperson of the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), an order issued by the personnel ministry. This is for the first time that a private sector specialist has been appointed as the head of the PESB, responsible for the appointment of top management posts in the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs).
• The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Srinivasan as the chairperson of PESB for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge, or until the attainment of the age of 65 years.

 Urjit Patel appointed as additional director of Britannia

• Former Reserve Bank of India Governor Dr Urjit Patel has been appointed as Additional Director of Britannia Industries with effect from 31st March 2021 for the tenure of 5 years. The company has announced that its board of directors has approved the appointment.
• The Board of Directors of the company at their meeting held 31 March 2021, approved the appointment of Dr Urjit Patel, as an additional director of the company in the category of non-executive and independent director with effect from 31 March 2021 for a term of 5 years i.e., up to 30th March 2026, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company.

Vice President releases book ‘Suparipalana’ by Dr Shailendra Joshi

• Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has released a book ‘Suparipalana’ by retired civil servant Dr Shailendra Joshi.
• The book ‘Suparipalana’ is the Telugu translation of “Echo T Calling: Towards People-Centric Governance”, written by former Telangana Chief Secretary, Shri S K Joshi. The translator of the book is Shri Annavarapu Brahmaiah and the publisher is Shri Maruthi.

ICICI Bank, PhonePe Tie Up For Issuance Of FASTags

• ICICI Bank and PhonePe announced their partnership for the issuance of FASTag using UPI on the PhonePe App. This integration allows over 280 million registered PhonePe users to order and track the ICICI Bank FASTag conveniently on the app.
• PhonePe users, who may be customers of any bank, will have a fully digitised experience as they don’t have to visit physical stores or toll locations to buy a FASTag. ICICI Bank is the first bank to partner with PhonePe for the issuance of FASTag. NPCI, IHMCL and NHAI are working together to make toll payments fully digital.
